So much so that he and counter person saw it necessary to take my $10.00 bill and do a close examination up to the light to ensure that I wasn't a new to town counterfeiter . Gyro stop is a very delicious place to get Mediterranean food and their Greek fries are everybody's favorite. The staff all seem experienced and pretty good at making things. The drawbacks are that the food gets a little pricy at times and that at times you have to wait 5-10 min extra. Overall really good place to eat and I will still continue to go here. read more

Gyro stop is pretty legit. Their gyros are on soft and delicious pitas. The pitas are absolutely stuffed with delicious meat, fresh vegetables, feta, and tiziki (sp?). The only challenge is finishing the whole thing. They are very generous with portions. Whatever you do do not come here. The place is very dirty. They have cooking supplies on the floor near the bathroom. The bathroom itself is dirty and the workers are racist. I was feeling sick and went to use the bathroom. After 5 min the owner told me I needed to get out although I had an order there to pick up. Good place for quick pick up and bite! We had their chicken gyro and chicken platter. Again, nothing extraordinary about this place, but if you are around and looking for quick not to fancy Mediterranean food, this would be it. Probably won't go out of my way to come here again. Our food was 1.5 hours late and when my mom called to ask why it kept getting delayed the gentleman hung up on her.

Yum! I spotted this place from a gas station across the street in an uninspiring strip mall in suburbia. I love Mediterranean food and I just happened to be looking for dinner, so why not give it a shot? They run a brisk takeout business for the commuters stopping by on the way home, but there are a few tables too. It is counter service, ingredients laid out Subway-style. I love gyros but I love shawarma more, so that was my choice. Chicken, and the Greek fries for a total of $13. The fries were pretty good. Crispy, topped with lemon juice, feta, parsley, and some ground spice. Basically, exactly what I expected. The tzatziki sauce on the side was odd. It tasted like mayo, with garlic and lemon. Not quite what I expected (i.e. Cucumber, mint, yogurt) but it was OK. I wish there was a half portion because they were too large for one. The chicken shawarma sandwich hit the spot. It's not strictly traditional but I had them add hot sauce, because, well this is America dammit and we take your culture's food and do shit like put hot sauce on it. And that's how I like it. It was topped with a cucumber and tomato and vinegar mix, a (too) light sprinkle of feta, tahini sauce, grilled onions, and lettuce. Yes, my breath would kill a vampire right now. They also gave me a complimentary bite of baklava. Sweets aren't usually my thing and I thought it tasted a little stale and doughy. I'd pass next time. Overall I liked the food. Not the best ever (that'd be Zaina in Seattle) but still pretty good. Next time I would try the gyro because they looked good. Who doesn't like rotating meat sticks?! I would come back if I once again find myself in the unfortunate predicament of being in Mukilteo, which occasionally happens. The Mongolian place across the street is pretty good too if stir fry is more your thing. Peace. read more

My husband had the gyro plate and I had the shawarma sandwich, both with very generous portions of their respective meats. The beef/lamb gyro mix was very flavorful and not greasy at all. The only thing lacking about the plate was the rice - a bit on the bland side and could have used a splash of their delicious garlic sauce. That garlic sauce is reason enough to come back. I thoroughly enjoyed my chicken shawarma sandwich - great mix of veggies, meat, and that sauce. We also got to try the aromatic, flavorful, and smoky baba ganoush. Came here when I was about to stop at McDonald's. Glad I saw there sign. Very good food. I got a gyro plate and the meat is one of the better gyro meats I have had. Seasoned very nice! Everything it hot and the service was excellent. I have never had food taste so fresh be so hot and ready that quick! It was faster than McDonald's and taste a million times better. Decided to stop by this place with a buddy of mine (T'sup Kikko-Dan!!) after having him come out and help me fix some stuff at my work place. Off his suggestion, it did not disappoint. I ordered the beef and lamb gyro for myself and the Athenian chicken gyro for the lady. The buddy ordered a beef and lamb gyro along with some Greek fries. The beef and lamb gyro was super tasty! They're generous with the beef and lamb, toppings as well! I just remember getting home and devouring it. I had some of the girlfriends Athenian and it was delicious as well. I had like two of the Greek fries from my buddy before dropping him off, but it looked like it needed more feta cheese. Either way, it was fresh and I like fries so they were good. I'd prefer this place over Kafe Neo. Size and taste of the gyros are better IMO. However, Kafe Neo may have more options. Goofy laid back people and great tasting Mediterranean food. Quick and easy, no avgolemno soup, but a decent size menu otherwise. Pulling up for our first time, a worker was sitting on the curb (smoking a cigarette) in the spot I was trying to park in - didn't move so I had to park elsewhere. Another friendly employee greeted us inside as they were helping the one customer who was ordering. The employee from outside came in, walked behind the counter and started to take our order. He placed a glove on one hand before doing this. It took me a second before I realized he hadn't washed his hands. When I questioned him on this he appeared confused. Pretty solid gyro sandwich! I got a beef and lamb gyro which came up quickly and was piping hot. Also got some fries, which were huge but basic Sysco-esque fries - nothing special. The meat in the gyro was quite tasty, and I really enjoyed it. I would certainly return, and perhaps get the meat on a salad. read more
