Fork Mediterranean has been a staple around the area for years. Consistently high quality, fresh, and tasty while being healthy! Casual, easy to take out or dine in. Plenty of parking in the plaza. Plates can feel pricey, but quality and large portions makes it worth it. Gyro and pitas for the smaller appetites. Friendly service when taking orders, but beyond that, it's very self service with water and clearing tables. Lamb & Beef Gyro Plate - hearty lamb and beef seasoned well lay on a bed of rice. While not dry, taking bits of the tzatziki sauce with the rice and meat helps add a juicy flavor and texture. On the side is a hearty Greek salad that has a similar effect, the vegetables are super fresh and help the rest of the plate taste juicier plus adds a nice crunch on the lettuce. We went very hungry so we decided to try the Spanakopita. It was one of the best I've had. The crunch was perfect because I was deep fried. Melanie T didn't want to share; that's how good it was, so I ordered my own. After tasting the Spanakopita , I decided to try the falafel. The Falafel was also perfect. The cashier was helpful in explaining to me how the menu works and what comes on each plate. The food was super fresh, clean and bursting with the classic Mediterranean flavors. The hummus was solid, I LOVED the Greek salad, comes with all the heathy veggies and even some peppers! The chicken gyro was tender, strong flavor and goes great with the white sauce over rice. The beef and lamb gyro salad was SOLID. Huge portion and seasoned well. The lentil soup was basic, could use some salt and stronger flavor but a good soul to wash everything down. Pita bread was light, warm and fluffy. I got two extra sides of tzatziki sauce but they gave me tahini instead, I'm def not complaining, the sauce had a strong nutty, rich and creamy flavor of sesame seeds. The price is unbeatable: for under $18, you get 4 perfectly prepared lamb chops, and sometimes they even throw in an extra one. While we are home watching the hockey game, we were so happy to find that everything we ordered was Absolutely Delicious!!! The Greek Fries were phenomenal. I could legit chug the garlic sauce that came on them. lol And the feta they use seems so fresh and is so much more creamy and moist than grocery store brands. The spanakopita was excellent. The buttery, flaky layers of phyllo dough were super crispy and salty and complimented the stuffing which was loaded with cheese and had a strong onions and spices flavor that was so mouth watering. Had a shawarma combo with Greek fries and a pistachio baklava. A first for me as the shawarma (Sauj) was in a pita then wrapped and lighted warmed on a panini grill. All was very good. Really good! Little strip mall joint, no outdoor seating. Order on their website is convenient. Had the lamb shawarma pita and it was fantastic! Really good stuff. I think for the price, the plate with rice is the way to go. Looks like you get more, so slightly better deal. Greek fries were also great. Very generous on the cheese and sauce. When we first discovered this place, maybe 6 years ago, it was love at first bite. The food quality was great - especially the lamb shawarma, well seasoned, and it was actually bits of lamb pieces instead of grounded up lamb meat like today's order. Also, there isn't as much feta on the Greek fries anymore, just a sprinkle like everywhere else; they used to be so generous with the feta portion. Overall, quality has been going downwards while they keep increasing the price. Will be looking for a new Mediterranean restaurant to go to. The gyros are delicious, but my favorite is the falafel. Order the veggie mix plate and get falafel and delicious roasted veggies all at once. Heavenly!
