I saw Gyros House here on Yelp when I was in the area looking for some lunch and it looked good, so I had to try it. To my surprise, when I arrived, I found out that it was actually in a food court inside the Parkway Plaza. Despite the unexpected location, my experience here was fantastic! When I walked up to the counter, a very friendly lady came and took my order. I decided on the gyro burger combo. After paying, I waited as the chef asked me if I wanted everything on it, which made the experience feel very personal. I said yes, and he proceeded to make my food right in front of me. Everything was freshly made, from the fries to cooking the meat. Both of the staff working here went above and beyond in making my food. The gyro burger was packed with tasty meat, juicy tomatoes, and their delicious tzatziki sauce, which added a perfect tangy flavor. Everything was steaming hot, including the fries. Speaking of fries, there was a large portion of them, and they were salty and delicious. When I finished, the nice lady asked if I wanted a refill. I passed because I was so full, but it was really the thought that counts. Overall, Gyros House provided an excellent dining experience with great food and exceptional service. The food is reasonably priced and amazing quality. The gyro meat is perfectly seasoned, hot, and tender. The vegetables are fresh and crisp. The pita is soft, warm, and flavorful. The sauces are perfect. The portions are big and very much worth the cost. The french fries are crispy and light, always hot and perfectly salted. The customer service is incredible. The man who always makes my gyros always has a smile on his face and puts a smile on mine. Same with the woman who sometimes works the register. They are kind and helpful. This large street fair has several places to eat but there's one outside "food court" located in a parking lot that I always visit.. We were craving gyros and there were two vendors here. One was Gyros House, the other was called Greek Snack. The latter also works the Palm Dessert swap meet and I gave them a big thumbs down in a review.. So we went with Gyros House. They were so friendly, and the food was very good. Loved their gyros AND their chicken shwarma salad. If they're back next year I'll definitely hit these guys up again.. Much to my surprise, Gyros House's main eatery is located in Parkway Plaza's food court! I even checked with the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce and sure enough their address is in that shopping mall.
