I'm both thrilled and saddened to find out about this chain of fast food restaurants. Thrilled because I *love* Greek chicken, and sad because I'm somehow just now finding out about it? There are two places in San Diego that I would go to when I needed to scratch my Greek chicken cravings: Alexi's in Hillcrest and Georgia's in Sports Arena. Alexi's stopped serving his version and though Georgia's is still (I think) serving their half roasted chicken, it's not as easy for us to get to her restaurant. We found this chain by accident, on one of our recent roamings through the city. Not knowing portion sizes, or really, anything more than "I need chicken", we each got a combo. I went with the quarter chicken, salad and zucchini fries, my husband got the quarter chicken, gyro and fried zucchini. We each also got the garlic bread. Whooo, boy! When I read "side salad", I thought, "small portion in addition to the main attractions." But no, the side salad was a meal in itself, and way too much for a combo. Generous, indeed. The chicken was everything I'd hoped it'd be. The skin, crispy and seasoned. The meat, juicy and flavorful. The citrusy, zesty drippings made my mouth water, even as I was shoving the meat into my face. The fried zucchini was served in strips, and I rather enjoyed the breading they used with it. The "garlic bread" was unexpected, as well; it was a grilled cheese sandwich! My husband said the gyro meat was tender and had good flavor, as well. This is a great find, and I'm eager to go back again (though I won't be getting the side salad!) I wish they had more central locations, but we will absolutely drive for this. read more

Service friendly and timely upon arrival through drive-thru. Clean establishment from the outside as far as what I can see. Plenty of places for parking and wheelchair accessible when dinning in. I had the Greek chicken salad. I've had better from this place but the chicken today was dry and chicken a little over cooked. The dressing was definitely needed for this salad. The veggies were fresh and salad dressing was delicious. If the meat was cooked to perfection it would have been amazing. They give you pita or garlic bread which is wrapped in foil and softy and chewy as I opted for the pita. I also order some onion rings which came out fresh. They are ok but what made the onion rings yummy was the ranch dressing that they give you with them otherwise they would have been a bust. Over all I which my lunch was ok. Would I come back again yes because they do have yummy chicken Kabobs plates and gyros on pita. I think today was a fluke or at least it hope it was.... This place used to be the best. Went there today and the service and food were terrible. I ordered the two kebab meal. First my drink was flat. I told the girl at the drive through and didn't believe me so she poured herself some and said "oh, yeah." She pour soda water from the machine and told me to "mix it" and try it. I kept thinking if the soda machine is out of carbonation, how are you thinking the soda water works. I told her it was still the same and she said she could "fix it." Drive thru needs some work. I went here for lunch. Used the drive thru, I pulled in at the same time as an another customer. She was ahead of me. She placed her order and then I placed mine. We waited for 10 minutes before she finally got a large family size salad in a large aluminum container handed to her. There must have been something wrong with her order because she handed the salad back to the employee. After waiting another 10 minutes, she was handed two large salads in aluminum containers along with the rest of her large order. In the past, Greek Chicken has requested that those customers who place large to pull into a designated parking space to wait for someone to bring their order to their car. When/why did this change? They once asked me to park in the "wait " parking spot for my order of a hamburger and fries because my order would hold up line. They didn't want the customers food behind me to get cold. On a Friday night, I made the mistake of choosing this restaurant to treat my family, and it turned out to be quite the disappointment. I ordered a gyros pita--no tomatoes, extra onion, and the meat well done--along with a chicken pita and some zucchini fries. When I got home and realized they'd messed up my order, I called the restaurant and spoke with Alex. He asked me to send a photo of the food, which I did, and he admitted the order was incorrect. He offered a refund AND a free gyros sandwich replacement. I asked for credit for two sandwiches instead since I paid in cash. He said could refund it to any credit card if I read him the numbers. No one in their right mind would give ANYONE a credit card number over the phone. So I asked him if he could just replace it to two sandwiches to which he agreed and said he wrote it down. However, when I returned on Sunday to collect my "credit," I was met by Mirna, who told me it was only good for one sandwich. When I asked to speak to Alex, she claimed he was "busy" and wouldn't come out. She insisted she had spoken to him and that the offer was still just for one sandwich. I was lied to. No one needs to deal with this especially After a long day at work. This place really needs to improve its customer service. I'm not sure what's going on with this place. I go here at least once a week. The prices have gone up and the quantities have gone down. They can't seem to tell the difference between chicken and gyro meat these days. In three separate occasions I've ordered a gyro salad and got chicken. This last time I finally drove 15 minutes back to exchange it. Guess this is one of those spots you have to verify you got the right order now. That's unfortunate. Saw a young woman sitting at a table who, though very young, looked like the boss. She was. All 21 years of her! Jocelyn came to work at this store at age 17. Not related to the founders or their relatives. she Just worked her butt and brain off until she was running the place. Ordered the same medium size chicken salad so I could contrast and compare it to what I ordered last night at their bigger place off Hwy 67 a mile north of I-8. 21-yr old Jocelyn is out performing the place I revisited last night.
