Greek Chicken is one of my favorite go to places. I love their chicken combos. Today I was a bit disappointed because my salad had a lot of old lettuce. Which is very unappealing. Not sure if they've changed their method but my garlic bread wasn't garlic bread. It looked like 2 pieces of toast with maybe melted cheese. Not a fan! The staff were slammed when we went in - they were in the middle of a lunch rush so I'll give them some grace. I ordered the fish and chips but an employee dropped one of my fish when trying to give me the tray so that delayed my order an additional 15 minutes - there was no apology or acknowledgement besides "oops. I have loved Greek Chicken for over 23 years. However, over the past few years, I don't know what is going on. This past weekend, I went through the drive through and got chicken and a salad. I got pita bread, because their garlic bread was the best, but now they have cheese in the middle and it's not as grilled. The food was delicious, nothing tasted off, mind you I have been eating here for years. However, this time, I got really sick, really bad stomach ache, and cramping. I was talking to a friend of mine about why I was sick, and he said he got sick with the same symptoms the last time he ate at the Greek Chicken in El Cajon. Greek chicken hits! We used not eat here too much because it was definitely over priced. However the economy has caught up to their average prices, and they seem to have increased quantity and quality of their food so it's worth it now. Everything tastes great. The Greek chicken is seasoned so well. The Greek salad is always fresh. Even their garlic bread is on point! I always opt for zucchini fries as my side. The best part may be their tzatziki sauce and ranch sauce. And they have franks red hot sauce available to mix in, if you like some spice! read more

Horrible customer service. They got our order wrong and they were very rude when we pointed it out and would not listen to us when we said what was wrong with the order. The girl who answered the phone just took my name down and said next time we go in they will give us the items that were missing/wrong at no cost. When we went in the next time they only gave us 1 item free even though we had multiple items missing/wrong from previous order and it was a struggle even getting them to give us the one item. Then when we got home we noticed the order was wrong again. When we called this time the woman that answered was again very rude and was saying nothing was missing. Ranch only for both meals missing. Missing rice. Chocolate shake had banana in it. Worry about your customers an hour before you close instead of closing out your register. The person who took my order and payment through the drive-thru was friendly. However, the person who gave me my order was unprofessional. They forgot an item with my meal. I luckily checked before driving off. I walked inside and let them know. The same young woman who gave me my order apologized for the mistake. She then proceeded to check my bag with the items. She accidentally added another order of pita bread. She took out the extra pita bread from my bag and then put it on the counter where all the cooks place the orders. The two stars are for the service (the young woman in the drive thru was an absolute sweetheart) and for the milkshake. The rest was pretty bad. The zucchini used to be my favorite but it lacked flavor and needed less time in the fryer. Their garlic bread used to be thick sourdough, but tonight it was two thin pieces smashed together and overcooked so it was chewy. The chicken was so dry and didn't taste the same. The hummus was covered in whatever they sprinkle on top. I think it was chili powder, but it was overpowering. I tried to scrape it off and forgot the before pic, but you can see it sprinkled on the container. Worst experience ever!!! Ordered food and had to say my order 4 times. Then after waiting 20 minutes I get to the window where they ignored me for 5 minutes. Then when I get to the window my order was wrong. They had the audacity to ask me to pull around to wait for the correct order. When I told them no they then said that I had to. Absolutely awful customer service. First off the staff can't keep up with the amount of customers trying order food. Then I order my food via drive thru and received only half. I had to drive back once I noticed. They tie the bags. When I let them know they wanted to give me the rest of my food they had been sitting in a bag. I asked for fresh food the girl working was very confrontational. They attempted to blame this on me. The boy working who was working the drive thru told me that he said there was more, which did not happen or I would have stayed. Got fried zucchini and it comes with ranch. This is one of my favorite items on their menu, my favorite fried zucchini for sure. The lady who helped me was really nice and patiently helped take my order. I sat outside, this is the only location that has outside seating in east county and it was nice to do that on a sunny day. Heard about this place from a happy customer at the Chiropractors office and the way she talked it up I was more than impressed. Wasn't sure what to expect from a fast food chicken place but have been proven wrong many times before. Ordered the Gyro sandwich and chicken kabob dinner and everything was impressive. Chicken was succulent and cooked beautifully, the Greek salad was well seasoned, and the Gyro sandwich had just the right amount of meet with the pita bread. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager, Ellie, who told me the only solution was to drive back in the rain to pick them up. Mistakes happen, but the lack of effort to make it right was disappointing. I wasn't even offered a small gesture, like a complimentary dessert, for the inconvenience.
