Have been frantic to find a decent gyro in town for months. It didn't occur to me to "yelp" a place until today...I was not disappointed. Gyro Palace is wonderful!!! Right in my neighborhood and was just what I had been looking for. The owner was kind, the place was clean and quiet but the gyro and Greek salad were perfectly flavored. I have to say, there was a little more feta than I wanted on the gyro but I am sure many wouldn't complain. It was a great surprise to find this gem right in my own backyard. Called this store based on Yelp reviews and man was it good. Ordered "take out" for 10 people for a get together at our house and everything was prepared perfectly for a catered party. We ordered gyro meat, grilled chicken, Greek salad, falafel, cucumber and yogurt dip, humus, spinach pies and baklava. Only $15 per person for more food than we could all eat. We are middle eastern and very picky but gyro palace was a hit with everyone - even my super picky mom. She actually said "this is one of the best baklavas I've ever had". The meat was tender, yogurt dip was amazing, Greek salad was excellent. Only improvement could be the hummus but still good. My guests actually asked to take home leftovers. Can't wait to go back for nights we don't want to cook dinner and for our next party. read more

I went with the Gyro platter, listed at $8.99. Was asked if I wanted to make supreme and get more meat. I agreed, what a mistake that was! Going supreme jumped to $15, and it was just terrible. First timer, here. We had a regular gyro, a chicken gyro, Greek fries (pay the extra money for these -- they're awesome!), and grape leaves. The food was great! The owner worked quickly to get us our food (big portions, too) and he was extremely friendly. Don't let the appearance of this place put you off -- it's pretty divey looking, but it's totally worth going to. read more

My wife and I found this place after the ice storms Tulsa experienced at the end of 2007, beginning of 2008, as it was one of the few restaurants open immediately following the initial storm. Although we live near the University of Tulsa, at 11th and Harvard, we had to drive all the way to 31st and Yale before we found a place open for business and luckily for us it was the Gyros Palace. Since then we have visited many times and are consistently impressed and after having another wonderful Gyros for lunch today, I felt I needed to share my secret with fellow Yelpers. Went in to get a gyro after work and ended up just taking a few bites before leaving. I feel like I should've said something to the owner before I left, and after some thought I have decided to call the owner and voice my opinion. Let's get to the food... I ordered the gyro special, which came to $8.75. I gave him a $10 and he asked if I had a quarter. I did not have any change with me and he just stood there staring at his drawer till I told him not to worry about it. Gyro, fries and a drink. I first took a bite of the fries and noticed they were slightly under cooked. Then I grab the gyro and noticed right away how the bread was so thin and charred. The meat was tasty, but the bread was hard and way over done. After a couple more bite to try and convince myself that I might be too picky, I threw it all away and left. I wish every local restaurant owner survives in a world full of chains. Gyro Palace, please raise the quality of effort put into your product. read more

The food at this place is great and so is the value. Gyros Palace makes up for what it lacks in atmosphere with its food. The gyros are always tasty and you can get a combo with fries and a drink for a good deal. This is one of my favorite spots in Tulsa for a casual weekend lunch. Stop in and try it out. Just went there for my first time today and man o man was it delicious! I had a Supreme Gyro with Greek fries and both were great. Def get the Greek fries. Totally worth the upcharge. We stopped at Gyros Palace on a whim, it's not much to look at. About a dozen tables and you order threw the service window to the kitchen. The staff is friendly and the food is great! We had the Gyros special with a salad. We had a fresh Greek salad and a large fresh Gyros. We had more than enough to eat and we have not found a better Gyros anywhere. The restaurant was out of rice the day we went. It's also very very very dirty inside.... I felt bad because it seemed like only one guy was running the entire restaurant, cooking and serving customers. I wouldn't come back but the food we had was decent (chicken salads). I took my younger brother here for his first gyro experience. The owner is a very nice guy. If he asks if you want it "supreme" it is an extra charge for more meat, $2.99. This is not on the menu anywhere. The food was alright, it wasn't the worst. However, it did make my brother and I sick. I was toilet-bound for the rest of the day and my brother was sick for the next two, except he was vomiting. We did go in right after they opened, so we might have gotten old meat or something. I don't think there was any malicious intent from the owner. read more

This place surprised me! Total hole in the wall, but the food is delicious. Only complaint we had was there wasn't a high chair for our 1 year old, so she had to sit on our laps for the whole meal. Other than that, this was easily the best gyro we've had in Tulsa! read more

We have eaten Greek food in many cities and a few countries. The Gyros Palace is my favorite by far. Each item on my platter was full of flavor. The falafels were delicate and crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The humus was seasoned spot on and the tzatziki was creamy. I forgot to ask but the stuffed grape leaves seemed freshly made. I'll add this place to my list of fantastic hole-in-the-wall restaurants to visit every time I am in Tulsa. read more

SERIOUSLY the best Greek food I have had in years! My husband surprised me with lunch. He bought me a gyro combo with hummus as the side. I've have had so many "gyro type" sandwiches thought I wasn't going to be impressed. Boy was I wrong! Fresh perfectly seasoned lamb, creamy delicious tsatsiki sauce, fresh crisp veggies, and actual chunks of feta cheese in a warm freshly baked pita. The hummus was out of this world!
