I love this place mainly because of the family that runs it! Not only do they make great burgers and gyros, the experience is always entertaining as well. They love to push jalapeños, so expect it when ordering! I've been going here for at least 20 years, and started taking my elderly mother-in-law a couple of years ago. She no longer drives so once we finish her errands we stop for lunch and she loves Jumbo's too. The silver-haired "boss man" will tell me, "Bring my sister back to see me again soon!" She once asked if they'd de-seed the jalapeños first when she was ordering, which confused the younger guy at the register for just a second, then they both laughed. Boss Man also got the whole crew to stop and sing Happy Birthday to her recently and she had the biggest smile the whole time. Wonderful family! Seems like they have a very dedicated clientele too. The Chicago Burger is my go to. I don't know why they call it "Chicago, but it's delectable. Loved this place. It's nothing fancy to look at but the magic is the people, service, and food. They are wicked fast and friendly. I had a cheeseburger and fries and it was just under $11...that isn't easy to find these days. Burger was tasty and their fries were crispy with season salt and yummy too. The brought my meal to my table and made sure to acknowledge and thank me when I left. They had a steady flow of eat in and to go orders and everyone was treated that well. I will be back!!! Came to Jumbo for the mushroom cheeseburger and fried mushrooms. What can I say, I love mushrooms. First, this is truly fast food as it takes less than 10 minutes to get your food. The burgers and the beef patties are on the thin side so if you're looking for that fat juicy meaty burgers, you're looking in the wrong spot. The burgers are delicious though but could use more content inside. Fried mushrooms are awesome. Just wish they would have some seasonings on the mushrooms. Nice cozy little restaurant. I was on my way to a meeting & had plenty of time before it took place. I was starving so I looked up what was in the area & saw Jumbo's & did not hesitate. So glad I finally tried this spot & after what I had, I'll be coming back. I got the Mushroom Burger with mustard and it was incredible. Was offered cheese & when I was told it was Swiss, it was automatic. The wait wasn't long on the food, around 10 mins maybe. The dude who took my order was super nice & very friendly. I got the combo so I started with the fries, which had the perfect crisp. Again, I was starving so I didn't even give the fries time to cool off one bit. The burger was made exactly how I like it. Had that grilled/char taste & the mushrooms complemented the patty. Swiss cheese was a nice touch. I was stuffed as I finished the meal & was heading out. We have recently added Jumbos to our rotation, and with good reason! I've heard and read that they were good, and we were not disappointed. Last time we had burgers, fries, onion rings and their chili cheese fries. The onion rings are light and very crunchy (batter to onion ratio is a little higher than some might like, but I loved them), and the Chili cheese fries were great (add the jalapenos!). This time, it was just the burger combos and we added a gyro, cause we wanted to sample it. The guys working inside are great! Very polite, speedy service and wonderfully kind. Small local places can be the most interesting places providing some good food. Such is Jumbo' Burgers. I ordered a gyro burger combo and was not disappointed that I did. The gyro meat was tender and the t'ziki sauce was tasty. The fries were seasoned and somewhat over cooked. I would not order the fries again. We also ordered an order of onion rings to share and were well pleased that they were delicious. I decided to try a piece of their Baklava. (I have not had any luck with previous tastings of baklava) I found it very flaky and the filling was a pleasant layer of moderate sweetness (unlike previous versions I have tasted that were sticky syrups that took away from the pastry) I actually liked this offering of baklava. I recommend their Baklava. All in all definitely worth a return visit. read more

Here's the thing, the restaurant had a great atmosphere and it was exactly what you would want from a small hole in the wall type of restaurant. There was also a lot of customers so the food must be good; I did notice most of them ordering the Gyro's and Greek style of food. For us we were there to try the burgers and the gentleman I was eating with said that his burger for him scores a 2.5 out of 5 and I would give mine more of a 1 out of 5. The bacon was weird like maybe it was turkey bacon and the chili clearly was just basic canned chili. With that said I saw the food around us on other tables and I'd be willing to bet the Greek food that they have is good but I didn't try it so I can't be sure. A little deli serving hamburgers, sandwiches, gyros and salads. My wife went with a cheese burger and fries and I had a gyro value meal, (gyro, hummus, and tabouli). The cheese burger received her approval along with complements for the good portion of crispy fries. The gyro I had, was certainly one of the better gyros I have had in Tulsa. Loaded with gyro meat, fresh tomato, lettuce, onion and a slightly garlicy flavored yogurt. A couple of things stood out on my meal besides the great gyro meat. First the pita. Nicely warmed, soft with a light toasting. Then the tabouli. This was the freshest tabouli I have ever had in any restaurant anywhere. It had to be just made. The parsley was still crisp and crunchy. -Context: 6558 E 41st st location. Thursday, 7:30pm, Pickup at store. This is not a burger joint but a mediterranean sandwich joint. -Bias Warning: I LOVE burgers! -Extra Note: The name of the restaurant on the sign "Jumbo's Hamburgers". But Google Maps and Yelp say "Jumbo Hamburgers". -The Order: 2 Bacon cheese burgers 2 Fries -First Look: The food came in a generic brown paper bag. The fries were lookin cute wrapped and tied up in a white paper gyro sleeve. The fries had a good darker gold color but it was obvious that a couple were overcooked. The cut was medium thickness and medium length. The burger was nicely wrapped in a red and white checkered paper with a toothpick poked down through the middle pinning it all together. The burger was very wide about 7" but very slim 1& 1/2" thick. The bread was a super wide, low quality, generic burger bun which was smashed flat. The bottom bun was soggy when I got home. The lettuce, and tomato were chopped and were on the bottom mixed in mayo and pickle slices. The top had the generic cheese and nice looking bacon. The beef was a very thin and wide smash style. Not much better quality than any other fast food joint. -Taste: The food was room temperature by the time I got home. Nothing special about the fries and there was absolutely zero salt on the fries and they tasted a little overcooked. It was a low quality burger. I could taste the bacon a bit. The veggies and mayonnaise were barely there. The cheese was ok and the bun wasn't pleasant. The beef patty was nothing special either. No better than low quality fast food. -Texture: The fries were in between crunchy and perfect so I suppose a little overcooked. You know I looked at the burger and it just wasn't that appetizing. Something was telling me that this was not a healthy choice. I ate it anyway, and it was definitely fast foodie. Wasn't unpleasant but none of the textures were fresh either. I noticed the bacon because of its firmness. -Value: $26.00 for two burgers and two fries. The value is pretty good because the portioning is fair. BUT if I go to Chick-fil-A and get two grilled chicken club meals with drinks it's $22.00. -Service: The food was waiting for us when we arrived and they provided napkins and 8 Ketchups. The highlight was how friendly the staff were. They greeted us as we came in and discerned it was us that called ahead and had a friendly exchange. The teller was being car friendly with my kids as well so I was vary impressed. -Kids: My kids would eat some fries. -Store: The store is off the highway a quarter mile. It's facing north and tucked away in a strip center and the only way you see it is because of the sign. The parking lot location is kind of ghetto. I was surprised at how nice it is inside considering the area. The front of the store has big windows, red stripes, three neon signs, a 10' tall window sticker with a phone number and food images, and two potted plants. The entrance looks like a mismatched add-on project and has a White House style door. You don't notice the door until you walk up and look to the right. I like the big bright yellow custom sign raised high above the building's roof. The sign has their phone number listed and I think it's a good idea. There are a few booths and tables. The interior design is pretty nice with a blood red carpet that goes from entryway to the front counter and I liked the tile flooring. But generally the color scheme was very subdued. The lighting was decent and the walls were painted and decorated. The booth seat printed backing is an interesting choice. Surprisingly all of the seating is cushioned. -Aftermath: I kind of regretted eating the burger after I was done. I did not feel sick but my wife felt off. My brain is telling me I shouldn't have followed through. My belches are not a pleasant reminder of the burger. Surprisingly no intestinal issues a day later. -Experience: I'm kicking myself because the building is nice and all the other reviews are super positive. We had a really good experience with service and interacting with the staff, but the burger was not good.
