    Gyro rice bowl
    Annabelle R.

We grabbed lunch at this food truck during the Sac Gamers Expo this past weekend. Service was more than sufficient, with no line to order, and our food ready in less than 5 minutes. The gyro rice bowl was full of flavor and very filling, with tender juicy meat and fresh veggies. The chicken shawarma was delicious as well, and I really enjoyed the seasoning on the fries. We were happy with our meal.

Best Hummus I've ever eaten! Hands down! I also ordered the Gyro Combo! It was messy and delicious! I would order an extra Tahini. Get down to the Rocklin Quick Stop Tues- Thur.

Talk about delicious!! I tried the food from this taco truck when I was out shopping at the Folsom outlets and man I had to go back the next day for more. The HEFTY fries are so well cooked, they're seasoned perfectly, there's lots of meat, and the fries are crisp (none of that extra oily stuff either) The Gyro Pita is sooooooo bomb, if you like a bit spicy it's a definite yes because they add pepperchinis which give that extra little kick. The pita bread was perfect also, idk how they do it. Definitely one of my favorite and cleanest food trucks I've ate from. Also customer service was great!

    Cheesesteak gyro with a cheeseskirt!

Stopped at a Gyro Stop food truck tonight and decided to try a couple things. Their cheesesteak gyro was amazing. I've never had a cheesesteak with a cheeseskirt but it was great. It was huge and I can't believe I ate the whole thing. It was so worth it though! :) My wife wanted their combo plate that has a little of everything. It also comes with a salad that we asked to have customized a bit. Ronda who was helping us made it special for us and the whole meal was great. We would totally visit again. Thanks!

I've driven past this restaurant many times in the last few months and have been wanting to try it. So glad I did... yummy! I had the Gyro Salad with falafel instead of meat... just because I really love falafel, not because I don't eat meat. The salad was fresh and came with dressing, hummus, tzatziki sauce, and tahini sauce. What a nice refreshing lunch!

This is for the food truck in Placerville. They have a location they just opened but the power was out at the time so they brought up the truck instead. We still went to support them because that location seems tough for what they serve: Mediterranean dishes. Bottom line: the beef/ lamb gyro is delicious. I didn't see the traditional rotisserie spit but it looked just like how it would if it came from there . The tzaziki sauce was nice. I liked that their Green salad came with a spring mix. It may not be traditional but tastier than just Romaine. Would've loved some olives in it. It also comes with mozzarella and shredded cheddar which is weird so I asked them to omit it and keep the feta. The lemon garlic feta fries were tasty. Friend had the chicken shawarma. Originally said it was too dry. But then dug deeper and found the sauce and said it was much better. If she ordered it again she's ask for extra sauce. Falafels were alright. I've had better but definitely also had worse. Will ask for sauce on the side next time. Tahini sauce is incredibly bitter. The orange sauce has the texture of thick hummus but I think it's that... baba ganoush. Not sure but it was tasty. Another thing: it's pretty expensive. A Greek salad. A special gyro meal. A side of meat. Lemon fried. A side of falafels came out to be over $70 with tip. I really hope they last. I would love to keep supporting them. Placerville needs more diverse food option.

Yelp asked me "what's in this photo" and I can't even say cheese fries...because there's no feta cheese on these fries
    Juanita M.

Is feta cheese on the extinction list so much so that you can only serve a teaspoon of it on top of $7 fries labeled "lemon garlic feta fries?" Jesus. What's going on that you can't put enough cheese on top of cheese fries. Northern California food truck style boasts high cost for very little. Get it together, put cheese on your fries if you advertise them as cheese fries. It's not going to put you out of business to actually make what you're supposedly advertising. UPDATE: asked for feta cheese and was told "no." Wish there was 0 stars available to match their 0 cheese

Samoon is an Iraqi white yeast bread shaped like a diamond or a canoe. The origin is likely from Georgia then brought to Iraq by Armenians immigrants. The first baker to make this bread in Iraq was named Simon, which translates to Samoon in Arabic. My CHICKEN KABOB SANDWICH on Samoon bread with house garlic sauce was so delicious! You have your choice of garlic sauce or tahini sauce, but Hameed told me that the garlic sauce culturally pairs with the Samoon and the tahini sauce with the Pita. You also have your choice of toppings: lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, and pickles. I think the yummy default is to order everything, but I said all but the onion. Wow, who knew that dicing cucumber elevates it to a new level of taste and texture! I mistook it for zucchini. I am all eager to order or make Jerusalem Salad or Israeli Salad now, a salad prepped with those same toppings, except the lettuce. Restaurant is uncomfortably warm with the bread oven, but nothing beats eating food freshly baked and prepared, so I decided to eat my sandwich there. There are just a few tables inside. No outdoor dining. Most people order to go. The savory PIES come in two shapes: a large round and a smaller diamond or canoe shape. Given I have been dreaming of Georgian cheese bread, Adjaruli Khachapuri, for years, I opted for the boat shape and got one MEAT PIE and one CHEESE PIE. The meat was spiced. I heated each in the toaster oven for a few minutes. Fun to eat! Very reasonably priced. I googled the Middle Eastern word for hand pies: Fatayer. The dolmas were also fun and convenient to eat. 10 in a box. Dolmas are marinated grape leaves stuffed with a seasoned rice and rolled into little cigars. Restaurant offers 2 juices made in house: 1. Freshly squeezed OJ that was bright orange in color 2. Fruit punch made with grape juice and black carrot juice Restaurant offers 3 kinds of baklava for dessert! 1. Walnut Baklava 2. Pistachio Baklava 3. Bird Nest Baklava (Arabic: Osh El Bulbul) At home, I enjoyed my Samoon with BABA GHANOUSH and hummus from Mediterranean Bakery. Baba Ghanoush seemed more special to me than the hummus. I did appreciate that the hummus came garnished with a few chickpeas. I also ordered a 1/2 pound of beef shawarma to go. It needed 20 minutes to finish grilling on the rotisserie, so I explored Alibaba International Foods market and the Kind Bean Cafe & Ethiopian Cuisine restaurant in the same plaza. Beef shawarma is marinated in a spiced paste. Lacking all the fresh vegetable toppings, I couldn't assemble as delectable a sandwich at home. If I can tear myself away from the chicken kabob sandwich (kabab, kebab, kebob), I'd be interested in trying the other meat sandwiches: beef kabob, chicken tikka, lamb tikka, chicken shawarma, and beef shawarma. I'd also try salads: Mediterranean Salad, Greek Salad, or Beyrotiya Salad (chickpeas, tomatoes, and cucumbers in olive oil, garlic, cumin, and lemon juice). I procrastinated too long writing this review, so my memory may be failing me. The co-owners of the restaurant are all from the Mediterranean area: Sudan, Lebanon, and Iraq, I believe. Thanks to Hameed for your kind hospitality and food preparation. I'll be back for the Samoon and sandwiches!
