It's a new location and I am just happy they had room for a "walk-in" on the day of. I called around to every pedicure place in a walking distance from downtown and they are all appointment only. This was the only one that had an opening less than an hour from the time I called which was a steal!!! I was only in town for the morning and was so happy when they could accommodate me. There soon is super clean with lots of white and mirror based furniture so it looks sleek and clean when you walk in. I scheduled a pedicure and little did I know that I would be treated to a glass of champagne or wine while I was being treated!!! That was a pleasant surprise. The chairs for the pedicure done vibrate and aren't the most comfortable but they do the job and who really cares when you're getting champagne or wine!! The cost is more than I am used to but I live in an urban area where walk-ins are the norm. They may have had more options available than my basic pedicure but I wouldn't know because they don't have a menu of services listed anywhere...maybe it's on the website. I walked in for a gel manicure and was lucky they had an availability for me. The place was clean, spacious, and welcoming with great decor. My nail artist was Kim and she did a great job! She shaped my nails just the way I wanted and was super gentle in cutting my cuticles. She was very meticulous and friendly as well. I got an express gel manicure which was about $37, a bit pricey for me- but the service was great and Kim did such a good job that I felt like it was a good splurge. I can't believe I haven't been here sooner! A friend and I booked Mani-Pedis online and had such a great experience. Our nail techs made us feel comfortable and very pampered! The receptionist was very gracious when I had a last minute schedule change and helped me to adjust my appointment time/type of manicure so I could still fit it in. My bridesmaids and I visited the Paint Bar during my bachelorette weekend two weeks ago, and I would not recommend it-- seriously ladies, it's not worth the frustration or your money. My maid of honor made our reservations in December for our visit in May, she even called two weeks prior to confirm. When we arrived we were told that they only had enough technicians to do four of us, and unfortunately my maid of honor wasn't able to get her nails/toes done. To put insult to injury, they refused to give back her deposit, and were not apologetic in the slightest. I decided to try H&E based on a recommendation from a friend. When she told me they offer you a drink, I made some assumptions that turned out to be false. 1. They'll be high priced 2. I'll have trouble getting an appointment. 3. It'll be "high-end" where I might feel out of place Boy was I wrong! The price is the same I pay at my normal salon (which is a fine place to go, I just wanted to try a new one) I was able to easily get an appointment - but, be prepared to give a credit card to reserve as they have a strict cancellation policy (understandably so, in my opinion) and I was right about "high-end" - what a beautiful salon. But, I felt welcomed upon arrival and was made to feel so comfortable immediately. The receptionist greeted me and helped me pick out a color. She was so nice. My technician was Linda and wow. She was meticulous, thorough and so sweet. I was offered a drink immediately and we had a blast together. She gave me tips on taking care of my nails and made my short, frail nails look amazing. I recently got married in June and booked H&E Paint Nail Bar for bridal party mani-pedis. There were 8 of us and they had all of us done within a couple of hours. We had the whole place to ourselves and were able to bring food and drinks and have a great party. Everyone was very happy with their nails. The staff members were all talented and fun and made sure we had a good experience. I was very happy with how my nails came out. I brought some photos from Pinterest of the nail art that I wanted and the technician was able to recreate exactly what I showed her. I wish I could remember her name so I could give her credit here. First time today at H &E and it was amazing! They are very careful with COVID procedures and I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. I saw Kimberly and she was beyond amazing. Wow!! What a nail transformation! I went in with crazy long, chipped, broken and wicked thick and unnatural looking dip nails that I had for over a month. Kimberly patiently took an hour just getting that terrible mess off my nails with no drill (that's how she does it, and honestly as we agreed, that's part of the draw for a lot of people). She cut them down to a much more manageable length and did an absolutely meticulous job, probably the best I've ever had. My nails look natural, smooth, even and perfect around the edges and cuticles. The color selection is great and the place is so pretty. While the price is higher than I'm used to, I think it's very worth it. You can even Venmo the tip so no worries about getting to the bank or ATM if you're in a rush. I visited the Middle Street location on Saturday afternoon for a pedicure and was expecting a relaxing experience after a day at work. This is far from my experience. The salon is nice and my technician was great and respectful but I can't say that about the rest of the women. There was so much loud banter and exchanging of personal stories and the like that it was unpleasant. It continued for the whole hour I was there and at times was unprofessional and inappropriate, I wish i had said something at the time. I have been to the City Center location on a number of occasions and it was fine, but that was prepandemic. In the end my pedicure was good but the overall experience was terrible, I will not return to that location. read more

The nail polish selection is huge. The reason for 3 stars is because I booked an eyebrow wax for the next day while I was there. I ended up having to go into work, I called two hours before my appointment and was told they would charge me half the price for not canceling 24 hours before hand. First of all, it was less than 24 hours away when I made my appointment, second, I get why they charge for a no show, but charging me because I had to go into work seems excessive. I do understand their time is important. But instead of letting me rebook, they lost a customer completely. It doesn't seem like the best business practice to me to alienate customers. read more

The physical space is beautiful with chandeliers and comfortable white pedicure chairs. It had a great vibe & everyone working these went out of the way to be helpful. Save yourself a headache and do not book with this place. I was planning a wedding long distance and booked services for my bridal party months in advance and put down a huge deposit. Day of the services they called claiming they could only fit in part of our bridal party spread out at different times and couldn't even fit in both of the brides for all of their services. We are reasonable people and understand mistakes happen but the customer services was AWFUL! They kept blaming the mix up on me and were not taking any responsibility and were useless in trying to help me problem solve. They were claiming over and over again that me $264 deposit was half of the cost of reg mani pedis for 4 people.. really?! $130 for a mani pedi is unreal! Do put gold on there?We ended up canceling all together and went to another local spot who was HALF THE PRICE, sooo kind and they brought staff in instantly to try to help make sure we all got the services we needed for our big day. Also while we were in there we were sharing our horrid experience and so many locals stated they also had negative experiences as well. Stay away from this awful place.
