However, they say what they need to in order to get you to accept them for program and then back out when adjustments need to be made once your child is ready to transition for school. I gave a 3 because my son ABA was amazing, however the clinical director of site constantly gives misinformation and misleads by not knowing so called program regulations like their Covid policy. It's more difficult finding a new program once ur in a program, so be mindful and get in writing about your child transitioning for school.

If you're reading yelp ads, you are probably too capable for their help. Of course, the help will be condescending, implying that any aid they do provide is temporary, and at great expense because of the many many people they're helping. It must be exhausting to send indeed links to jobs you're not qualified for (wrong industry, security clearances you don't have) and to reschedule and reschedule meetings that could've been a text message. Please avoid them and try any other disabled service. If karmic justice exists, the people who work here will be forced to rely on their own services in future career aspirations.

She claims that we need to have job meetings once a week in public places like fast food joints for a strict timeframe of an hour. Not only that but she insists that I have to apply for 3-5 jobs a week without any help from them in my job search. I'm not trying to be lazy but they don't seem to be doing their job as advertised!

The reason for me writing this review is because I have a child on the spectrum and was looking to come to this location but after what I have been told about the location I will not be bringing my child here nor would I recommend nobody there. Don't get me wrong I'm sure there are some very sweet staff there that treat each as if they were their own but I'm sure there is some in there that just don't belong in that kind of work.

They wanted to learn so much about her interests to help motivate her, and shared with me everyday about what she did and how it went. The office staff always answers the phone, and are so sweet/helpful every time I have called. They also set up appointments with our family every other week to help us work with her using their principles while learning about behavior only exhibited at home. They helped us with any questions about the diagnosis itself and how to deal with any hardships. Unfortunately, I had to move away, and I have now realized how great they were compared to my new area. CAC offers clinical insight, recommended hours, trials, follows certain principles, and follow up on objectives in multiple areas. Many other places I have called only say things like "we help them advocate for themselves" (which in itself is great but...also vague, and offers no insight into the program, principles, or data-backed treatment) or use "whatever hours work for your family" instead of using hours based on doctor recommendations based on their level of needs. CAC is amazing, and I would recommend their ABA therapy over any other therapy. As a mom with multiple under- and post-graduate degrees in child development and early childhood education, it's hard to find a place that fits my standards. This place exceeds it.

CAC has changed our lives immensely. Since coming here my son can now talk in almost complete…read moresentences, he can socialize with other kids, and he can identify and communicate his feelings and wants. I feel it's worth mentioning that calling CAC was instrumental in helping me get the process started, what referrals I needed from my physician in order to get the process going and moving forward. They were even able to help me find a psychologist that was able to diagnose him and his waitlist, at the time, if I was willing to drive to the San Diego office was 2 weeks later. Of course we jumped at it because I was unable to find a child psychologist that didn't have a waitlist as long as 2 years. Due to that I was able to get him diagnosed and the services he needed ASAP. I had been calling ABA providers for 6 months and couldn't find anyone with a waitlist under a year. From the very first day I was hopeful because he didn't meltdown the entire time he was there and I was gone. This is the first time that ever happened. The moment he met his RBT he connected with her in a way that I've never seen him do with anyone else. From that moment on he looked forward to going. His RBT is outstanding. I honestly believe my son would not be where he is at without her. I wouldn't think many people get into this profession without having a certain disposition but above and beyond that she is very patient, understanding, firm but lovingly kind. The time spent with her gave him the confidence to try with other people. She gave him tools to engage with kids in back and forth conversation. Yes, she is outstanding and a million other positive things that directly contributed to his growth. She is not the only one though. I see all the kids have their own special bond with their own RBT's. Everyone on the staff is friendly, patient, kind and understanding. My son was severely behind and delayed. He was speaking in 1 word sentences and lots of grunts and gestures. Now he is speaking consistently and he understands more of what he's saying. Like what the things he repeats actually mean. Also he is more comfortable approaching social situations. He is now just about caught up but I believe ahead in a lot of ways. They way he learned things here, he understands things in a more practical application not just memorizing. The tools I learned to help parent him in a way conducive to what works for him, along with all the things he learned have changed our lives. It has helped me enjoy parenting more because the meltdowns aren't as constant and I learned better ways to help myself and him manage them. My son had a lot of health issues come up during his journey here. The staff was understanding and as accommodating as possible. My son has made significant advances and improvements. So while it is bittersweet that we won't be seeing the other kids, parents and staff. I am extremely grateful for the time, services, and dedication of everyone here. With the foundation he has been able to achieve here, I don't see any reason he won't go on to do great things and live his best life.
