In a world where everyone seems to just be doing the bare minimum to get by (and it's hard to even get people to return phone calls) Steve and his company All Electrical Solutions stand out. After the crazy LA winds this week, we had multiple outdoor electrical issues and a couple indoor. Off to Yelp we went and after seeing the past reviews, decided to try AES. From the very first second, Steve was wonderful. He called back within 5 minutes of our message and took time to understand what the issues were. He explained they're very busy but he would find a way to fit our job in that same day. Although he didn't admit it, I'd guess he skipped taking any break between his other jobs to do our work. Steve arrived during the 1 hour window time frame he gave us in the am and although beyond personable, he was also quick and efficient. I didn't feel like he was lagging or wasting any time. He was honest with his suggestions, and even told me ways to SAVE money when he easily could have made the money himself. I will absolutely be using Steve/AES again and would recommend them to anyone. I cannot recommend All Electrical Solutions (and Steve Gold) highly enough. An exterior lighting fixture shorted out a swath of lights and outlets in our house, and Steve was able to schedule an appointment on short notice, restore power where it was out, and even go above and beyond to repair the wiring in the fixture that caused the short in the first place. (If I had to take the fixture to a repair store, which I did recently with a floor lamp, it might have taken two weeks to get it back.) Good electricians are hard to find, but I will look no further than All Electrical Solutions should any problems arise in the future. read more

Be very careful. Get a confirmation in advance as to what they will be charging you. They do excellent work. After using them for several year I had some work done without asking what the cost would be. I felt I didn't need to because they never overcharged me. I got the bill and about fell over. I was in the dark and powerless... We had lost power in our back office(in a private home circa 50's) and after reading the reviews on Yelp, I called and explained my problem to Steve. Steve told me how much it would cost to come and look at the problem. He gave me a day in the same week and sent out Robert to take a look at things. Steve gave me a time frame, and then on the day of the appointment, he said he could be there sooner, I said by all means! Robert came out, I showed him the problem. He did some trouble shooting(he showed me a sub panel that I didn't know I had!!) and told me what my options were. As we were talking, a bunch of bees started to swarm in the back yard. I told Robert, that he was more than welcome to come back later when the bees were gone, but he powered(yes a bad pun) on. Robert fixed the problem, made some suggestions for work that could be done. I was so happy with the work, that I went and told my next door neighbor how happy I was with the work! And... I now have electrician to call and recommend when needed! After noticing a burning plastic smell, we finally located the source which was an outlet that had gotten so hot that it had melted and charred the outlet and outlet cover. Steve was able to diagnose the problem over the phone and informed us that we were not in danger if we didn't have anything plugged in. I had an antique oil lamp that was converted to 220v over 30 years ago. When I brought it to the USA recently, I had to convert it to 120v. The wiring was old and exposed, and so was the entire bulb housing. When I found All Electrical Solutions, I thought to myself--there's no way a "real" company has all of these glowing five star reviews--they must be fake! But NOPE, I couldn't be more wrong. I just called this morning (as one of my circuit breakers kept on flipping on and there was clearly an issue somewhere in my house), and Steve picked up the phone and was able to squeeze me in today. He bent over backwards to work with my scheduling (as our fridge was also on the same line and our food was at risk for spoiling), and was able to get someone over this afternoon. James--who couldn't have been any nicer and was super professional showed up in the window that was promised, and immediately got to work. He not only figured out the source of the issue, but also spent the time to educate me on what was wrong and how the wiring system linked together. I ended up having him install an exterior wall plug junction plate as well, and he was done in no time. Very friendly, fast service, and reasonable prices. What more could you expect??? I had made an appointment with Powell electric, they wanted to charge me $99.00 just to give me an estimate, which would be applied to the job, if you went with them, if not, they keep your $99.00! I thought wait, I'm going to check their "Yelp" rating, omg! It was horrible, post after post, talking about over charging, bad work, and the $99.00 scam! So I called them back cancelled the appointment, and looked at "Yelps" best ratings for electricians, that's how I found Steve and his business! He had a system set up through his "Yelp" page that allows you to send him pictures, and he's able to give you an estimate of the job. He gave me an estimate, came out the next day, showed up on time, did the work, accepted my credit card right on his phone, emailed me a receipt and was on his way. He said the job took a little longer than he had planned, I tried to pay him extra, and he refused to take it! This guy is beyond honest, and does incredible work! Excellent electrician! I've hired many electricians to work on various electrical issues in my house and Steve is by far the best I've seen. I highly recommend him. He responded quickly to my first voice mail and set up a time to visit. Instead of the usual 4 hour window, he gave a 1-hour window and then, an hour before arriving, called to say he was on his way and would be 15 minutes early. Good start! I had five things for him to look at and he started by telling me that he could do the first item, but that it would be cheaper for me to buy a $10 buck-screw-in product at Home Depot and it would do the same job. Hmmm... Early AND trying to save me money?! Very unusual. He then quickly did the rest of the jobs (replaced a ceiling light's transformer, and two GFCi outlets), cleaned up after himself and charged me a highly reasonable fee. We were having problems with our fuse box and needed an outlet installed for our dishwasher. After waiting all afternoon for a different electrician that never showed up or even called back, we turned to Yelp and found All Electrical Solution. Steve shows up 15 minutes before our appointment time. He was very professional and explained everything that needed to be done. He replaced half of the circuit breakers that was burnt due to paint on the panel and cleaned out the panel itself. It was easy to set up an appointment and he arrived exactly when he said he would on the scheduled day and time and was friendly and professional.
