I was lucky enough to find out about Simi Valley Sliding Door Repair from another contractor on yelp that only installs new doors. When I called them and explained the situation, they were confident that they could easily fix my door. As it turns out, this was true because it didn't even take that long to perform the fix. They saved me a ton of money by allowing me to have my door fixed versus buying a new one. I am extremely grateful. It's clear that they are the best for this sort of thing.

At first, he came across as nice and professional, though he repeatedly mentioned how busy he was and how far out he was booked. Eventually, we scheduled a consultation at my house. He took the measurements, and I gave him a deposit for the job. After thinking it over, I decided to also add a front screen door and upgrade to the heavy-duty pet-safe mesh, which was an additional $150. I texted Hector and asked if, in exchange for positive reviews and referrals to friends and family, he would consider waiving that fee. He agreed. However, when I asked about the cost of the front door, his response was "$690!!!" followed by, "No more discounts." He then made it clear that he was so busy he didn't really need my referrals. At that point, I told him that if he was too busy to appreciate my business, I could easily take it elsewhere. His response? "Done deal." He refunded my deposit immediately and walked away from the job. In all my years of dealing with businesses, I've never had a contractor dismiss my business so casually after already accepting a deposit. To me, this showed a lack of professionalism, appreciation for customers, and basic respect for the client relationship. Bottom line: This was a very poor experience, and I would not recommend ScreenFixer if you're looking for a company that values its customers.
