This review, is specifically to provide acknowledgment to Norah, the wonderful, outstanding manager who does everything to make sure H & H is run well. She cares for the tenants, their belongings, and has a huge heart. She is the employee every company would love to have, competent, efficient, and a lovely person, on top of her other skills. This past year I ended up with a mouse/rat infestation, due in part to the location of the ground floor unit. It was distressing, and nothing seemed to work keeping them out. Even though I had most of my belongings in plastic bins, some furniture had rat urine stains, it was terrible. Once Nora helped me, they moved me into another unit. What matters to me as much as the safety and security of my belongings, was working with Nora for over ten years. If you need a secure and trustworthy place with your belongings, I would definitely recommend going to see Nora at H&H, she'll help you get squared away with the right unit. read more

Out of all the storage facilities I've had experience with this location is by far the best. The way that they communicate with the clients, clean facilities and top of the line security is worth the reasonable prices. This lovely lady here would be helpful with every customer I've seen. She had an injury one time on her knee, even needing a walking cane. She literally walked with this older customer across the property just to use bolt cutters on a for a lock. Outstanding work. I am giving 5 ++ stars to the Office Manager, Nora. I have been a customer there for over 10 yrs and she has always been very professional, extremely friendly & courteous & is always willing to go the extra mile for her clients. She is the heart & soul of the business & I couldn't ask for better. As for the storage, I will give it only ONE STAR. As I said earlier, I have supported the business for 10 + yrs. I did not complain when they raised the rent by $100, last Oct/Nov even though it puts a strain on my family & I. I live out of town & received a letter at the end of May stating that they are raising the rent by $180.00 more in June. No courtesy of giving long time customers a chance to plan a move or to figure out how to come up with the extra money. I am very disappointed in the way this was handled by the owners and the way I was treated after all these years. Nora, I will miss you. Thank you so much for everything. You are the best! read more

I tolerated COCKROACHES at one point. And, I figured, I'd been there for a while and to just let let it go. I was there from 2011 to 2019 (and, as a kid in college). I thought they cared about me and my research. THEY ARE Liars. They are THIEVES. The party they must have had selling my fine art pieces. Unbelievable. I had mementos to high-end pieces like a 12K opium bed. I had 6 units. ALL of my belongings there while I travelled. They led me on for the last two months that there was a chance to fix things. ALL THE WHILE KNOWING THEY HAD AN AUCTION PLANNED. I never got a certified letter NOTHING. THE OWNER GAVE ME HER DIRECT BANK OF AMERICA DEPOSIT account! SEEM SHADY? I have been 5 hours away and dealing with personal issues. I saw these people as family and easily spent 50K over the years to house my research project. ALL IS GONE. They "quote" tossed it all away (I had to have a friend find out for me just now 11/6/19). I never received any notice, HAD NO CLUE. I was reassured by the main manager, HUSSEIN, not to worry. Even the gorgeous antiques (YEAH RIGHT, I AM SURE THOSE GOT TAKEN TO THE DUMP). Those pieces I am SURE have been SOLD. The owner, HEIDI, rules with an iron FIST. When YOUR STUFF is on the line, she screams and yells and loses all control like it is her right to be cruel and mean. NOT ONCE did she tell me an auction was scheduled or asking if I had received a certified letter. THIS after the manager HUSSEIN, who self-confessed for "sexually harassing his employees," saying "don't worry, she won't hurt your stuff while I am gone" because she arranged the auctions" (PRIOR TO LEAVING FOR IRAN 8/30/19). LIAR. IF that is the case, he arranged the auction AND LIED. Not a good business woman. At first I thought, she was a wonderful person, business-woman-business-woman. She understood. I am sure she is loving the 50K+ worth of AMAZING pieces I had collected over the years. IT IS HER KARMA. I had been behind due to medical issues and a couple delayed deals and had a reasonable payment plan. NOT ONCE did she tell me my things would be gone by 9/10/19. I was trying to work things out until 11/5/19! WHO DOES THAT? And, after 8 YEARS of loyal patronage. NO NOT USE THIS STORAGE. EVER. read more

I called H&H on a Saturday afternoon, reserved the size I needed over the phone --he takes my name, says I need to be there the next day--and I drive forty minutes to San Rafael on a Sunday morning to find they HAD GIVEN THE UNIT TO SOMEONE ELSE. It was only eleven o'clock in the morning when I arrived, so I have no idea why they'd do that. Poor business practices for sure...I'd disagree with some of the other ratings that say that H&H cares about people. I went to StorQuest instead (and got a cheaper rate) as well as a nicer experience. So for you yelpers out there, give them a try! read more

I just spent close to three hours moving spaces at this spot on the other side of town under the auspice of saving around $20 a month which isn't a ton but a personal goal nonetheless ;) After shuffling my ish up and down stairs for several hours ( because they don't have elevators!!!) - I approached the football watching desk person who actually giggled upon telling me that they had recently raised their rates so I would only be saving a couple of bucks!! WTF - and he goes on to say they are raising their rates again in June!! If I wasn't trying to be more zen in life I would have clocked him but instead I am writing to you all to urge you to take your biz elsewhere - no one deserves this type of inattention where lame sports are more important than conversing about rates w/ paying customers - I'm out! read more

In the last 5 years I have been a recurrent customer of Store Quest in San Rafael. The storage facility is well run, it is a clean place and the units are well ventilated. The staff is helpfull. This morning, Sunday , I needed to move from a smaller container to a larger one. Christian was working at the desk. He helped me finding the perfect storage, at a good rate, of which I am very happy and also helped me to move some of my boxes! I was very grateful and I also feel very safe having my things in storage there. It is a well secured area. read more

Well, I just signed up today. Called around, this was one of the few that had what I needed at a price I could afford. Nora saved the unit for a few hours til I could get there, as it was the last unit at the size I wanted. Was happy they had someone on an upstairs floor in case it rains. Nora was very thorough and was attentive to discrepancies &details. Everything went smoothly. Very tall ceilings. It's next to a lovely waterfront hiking trail too! My family has had a storage locker here for years. On Sunday the 1st I came into the office in a panic because I couldn't find the new storage locker we rented for MY stuff (yes, I have a lot of stuff) and we had 1 hour to return the Uhaul down the street. I was immediately calmed down by the woman at the front desk. Her name is Norah and she is amazing! She had me punch in my code again and WALKED with me to the locker. She even volunteered to help my boyfriend and I get everything out and into the locker! It's one of the smaller ones on the second floor so she brought the fork lift. She then helped us get all of the ridiculously heavy boxes out of the truck and up to the locker...I'd say she was with us for about an hour. She was just so nice, and when she had to go back to the front office she gave me a hug. I have never written a review on Yelp before, but because of Norah I just had to.
