I've been a shopper of H & M ever since the early days when they opened one of their first stores in New York City. This store is decent but I noticed that most of the styles that I lok d, they did not have in my size. Apart from that, there was barely anyone around to help me find the right size. The couple of workers that I did see were busy stocking racks of clothes. Otherwise it was fun to browse and see what they had to offer. I didn't end up buying anything today. I will never shop at H&M again the quality of their clothes are poor. I received a final sale item that was damaged and had a hole in it. They refused to exchange it and or refund it. I will never shop at another H&M. also the customer service is poor and the corporate office will not help. They only respond by email and will put a person on the phone if you have an issue. read more

Convenient location for me. The store is large with a kids, women and men's section. Friendly customer service but when it's busy it's hard to find anyone that works there, which is understandable. I think they change out clothes every week and the best time to shop is when they open during the week. I think they have a nice selection of clothes. Mostly acceptable, new huge store! I love their styles and selections and am happy that there is an outlet H&M nearby the DC area that's not impossible to get to by car (i.e., Metro Center). It's easy to get to, parking is not a problem, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their products. They had a sale for 50% off their clearance accessories and lingerie items, but it was not labeled anywhere -- which was a pleasant surprise. However, if they had signage up, more of those items would have been sold. Also, I expected many more items to be on sale but the prices of much of the items in the store resembled the prices of a regular store. H&M is on the exterior of the shopping center grounds, and visible from the street, so it's easier to find. read more

This H&M is HUGE. It's inside the Tanger Outlets at the National Harbor in Maryland. It's two large rooms connected selling all the usual products found at other H&Ms across the country. They sell men's clothes, women's clothes, and kid's clothes. I bought a pair of black jeans for not much money at all. read more

I do not really have much to say about this place. They have nice clothes for women, men and kids. They have cute shoes and accessories as well. Sometimes the lines re crazy long, but the staff definitely works the lines quick. I remember it only two long lines t one point. Now every time I go there it's three people at the register. I believe it was four once. I love the way their clothes fit. I definitely feels as though there shirts run a little large. I usually wear a medium in shirts, but here I get a small. There shoes run a size small. I usually wear a size 7, but I always have to get a size 8. As far as their pants, I feel as though they run true to size. But sometimes I have to get a bigger size. I have hips and thighs, so sometimes I'm a size 8 and other times I can go up to a size 12 depending on the cut. They also have a good clearance section and lingerie as well. They also have underwear, socks, and other types of accessories for the guys. I definitely love their accessories too. I basically love everything lol. But their jewelry, make-up, sunglasses, handbags and cellphone cases are nice as well. One more thing their hats, I love their caps. Super cute! read more

This store isn't as organized as it should be. The deals aren't that good. I really forget that I'm at an outlet because of the prices. I might as well go to the regular store. You may find a few items priced good but you will most likely be digging for them. Things are in the wrong place often a d don't line up with the sale sign which is aggravating. You can only bring 7 items with you in the dressing room which can be aggravating. The staff isn't the friendliest. Once again I will only go during major holidays when they have sales. I found a lot of good deals two Christmas's ago. $5 super cute items but this time not much. I found a dress, dope long sleeve top, and two short sleeve top and my total was only $32. So I did find good deals but it took me longer than wanted and it was kinda an aggravating experience. The only good thing was there was no line. Which is the opposite during the holidays. The lines are oh so longggg you debate if the items you found are work your 20min. wait in line. When you find deals you are happy but it's not a place I will visit unless it's near the holidays. read more

Aran the manager, Enus from loss prevention, and the west african cashier were extremely rude, condescending, and sarcastic to a customer trying to exchange some clothing in time to make her flight. They are a racist location, and i will no longer be shopping there. I will also be calling corporate on Monday to report the manager, cashier, and the loss prevention man. I was fine until I reached the fitting room and the "female" rat who was supposed to be attending to the customers in the fitting room... approached myself and 2 friends with a horrible attitude and no customer service. After my friend watched her talking endlessly to another male employee who was taking clothes from the same rack ... that she watched everyone drop off clothes they didn't want after trying on..she remained talking ....and as I put our unwanted clothes on the same clothes rack in the fitting room as the 3 groups of customers ahead of me did. The rude rat angrily proceeds to tell me to get the clothes and bring them to her...This happened 7-14-2014 around 4pm.. Speechless at the audacity of the rat to approach a customer in such a unprofessional way ...but she must have slipped and crawled through the hiring cracks as we are close to DC and Prince George's county. After I replied "No"..to the rat... I told the rat to do her job...I then proceeded to walk right pass the unprofessional rat and to the register to purchase our wanted items. Customer service at register was ok..but in general no one greets you at this store and no one asks if you want any help.. Another Prime example of our mediocre fitting room customer service on July14, 2014: A customer was leaving the fitting room with no shoes and tags flying everywhere to run to the shopping area to locate different sizes on her own...Good customer service would ask if she needed any help and get the size she needed and bring it to her...but ..clearly thats too complicated of a job for a rat! :-D Another reviewer also wrote about the service ..its all true there..something needs to be done about this... who wants to frequent a store with horrible customer service? I went in 845pm 7/15/17 to buy some work clothes and to donate my unwanted pants to the H&M recycle program. The smart ass associate Rodel was the cashier I went up to to turn in my old pants and had told me that they need to be in a bag and when I asked him for a bag he told me no that the company does not hand out bags because they are environmentally conscious. I leave upset and continue to make a purchase at another cashier and she also refused to honor the recycled donated pants add told me I needed to have them in a bag with three pieces of clothing. Rodel happened to be still next to the cashier where I was at and mumbled to another associate about the customer he just had in his line and said "oh she just wanted to return her stuff so she has money to go out tonight but doesn't have a receipt." Wow do I need to go further on how this was uncalled for?! Here's what's stated in company website about the recycle program "We believe fashion is far too precious to end up in landfills. That is why in 2013, we launched our garment collecting initiative worldwide. You can drop off your unwanted garments - no matter what brand and what condition - in all our H&M stores across the globe. Several of our other brands also offer garment collecting." No where in that does it say the items need to be in a bag or how many need to be donated. This store looked like a Marshals during holiday when I came in. The employees where extremely rude, disrespectful and unprofessional! I will be calling customer care and I hope to NEVER see him or encounter this EVER AGAIN! read more

Today I was in your store and witnessed some very disturbing and racist behavior towards a black woman that was attempting to conduct a return transaction. As I listened, I gathered that the cashier made a mistake in how she rang the items back in and instead of back tracking she decided to accuse the patron of theft. A manager was called and made an already horrible situation much worse. Instead of listening objectively to both side he spoke in a way that was very condescending and disrespectful. At which point, security was called. Much to my dismay the guard made comments that were highly inappropriate and unprofessional. He then decided to call the police on the lady. I will say- that I honestly had no business being back in H&M because of the terribly racist campaign some months back but I thought that I would give your company a second chance. That was my mistake! Your employees need racial sensitivity training stat because it is clear to me that nothing has changed and that it has gotten so bad that women are not even safe in your stores. read more

Came in Sat morning soon as they opened. I've been here a few times but not yet rated the place. I feel really sorry for the employees who have to constantly straighten up after customers who knock down clothes on the floor. Today I saw an unsupervised child running around the store and in between the racks knocking over items. I told him to stop and to go find his mother. I've been in here a couple time near closing and the place was an absolute disaster with clothes on the floor, mismatched items in bins, etc. The store needs people whose sole job is to just straighten up and keep things organized. It's a real turnoff to see the place in disarray and sloppy and the Last thing I want to do is buy anything. As others mentioned, come early if on weekends or during weekday. This place gets packed. Kudos to the cashiers and dressing room people. They were very polite and even when I pointed out I was overcharged, the cashier apologized (at least twice). The store is really huge with alot of options. It can be a bit junky but they are great so dont let the mess fool you. Customer service is ok. I'ts kind of hard to get someone to assist because the store can get crowded really fast. This is not a "outlet" H&M, it is simply a H&M. It's well organized when it is not experiencing a shopping rush. The staff are pretty friendly. I like this store and plan to come back. The convenience of its location is great in the newly built Tanger Outlets as opposed to visiting its downtown or mall locations. On occasion they give discounts through sales they may have and students get 10% off with their id. read more

its ok, ill rather drive to the old town location , customer service goes a long way with me trying to find clothing the store manager is rude, I went to this harbor location last week of April, I was with my two sisters trying to look for something. I remember seeing him on the floor so I asked him if a certain blouse comes in a smaller size he said he will check, after a long 8minutes he came back and said 'NO" and hung that shirt back up and left, then I walked up to him as he was leaving us and I asked if he could check other location for that shirt then he had the nerved to tell me you can call or drive to the locations and started to talk to another sales employee about daily sales . so much rudest and disrespect. I saw two other employees there watched me as I was in disbelief and one department manager came to me and apologized to me and continued to help. if that the kind of top league store manager H&M had to offer to your guest to being in money to that store I don't want anything to deal with it. This location was very nice when it first opened. Now it has a smaller selection than other H&Ms; it always has a second hand store look to it. & it is in fact, NOT an outlet, according to H&M corporate it is merely located at an outlet mall but the prices are no different from other store locations (except online). The employees aren't very friendly either. I live closest to this H&M & although I hate DC traffic as much as the next person, I prefer the H&M in NW on F. read more

I'm glad this store is here! My teen boys love shopping here. It's affordable too. They stay current on fashion and that's so so important. I'm impressed with their buyers. Now because it's so trendy, it's popular as heck!!! The lines are sooooooo long. Wait.. I meant LINE. There's one line. But the Tanger Outlets coupon book has a good coupon like 20% off one item. Sweeeeeeeet! That's generous H&M. I didn't give it 5 stars because the line is always too long and because the women's plus section is malnourished. I am disappointed. Forever 21 has a really good plus section... Fashion Forward Hunnnni!! So hopefully with their renovation (expansion) coming up, H&Ms plus section will get a makeover. I came into the hm at the national harbor on March 3,2020 @ 12:55pm to get a blazer. I was greeted and was assisted with looking for a black blazer from lady with long curly hair. After looking around I decided to get a sweater for my dog and a pair of dress shoes for me. When I walked up to the cash register I was treated so rude by cashier Mariah. She gave a lot of attitude and act like she didn't want to help scan the clothes. She never ask about the loyalty program app. Once she finish scanning the item. She mention that I can now make my payment . I used the card reader , it approved and said remove card. Once I took the card out she open the receipt door and wasn't trying to give a receipt. Then she said it didn't go through on the register but the payment was already taking out of my account. Then the guy Kiyoshi helped me at the next register . He gave me item number , price and total. I ended up walking out without any items. That's sad because I was interested in buying something. read more

I love this store! Not only is it clean every time I walk in but the staff is always so helpful! Never have I seen the merchandise on the floor like other h&ms. Sometimes the do seem a bit understaffed but that does not stop them from providing great customer service. Everyone seems knowledgeable about what deals are happening and they are never afraid to offer u a helping hand. If u need a place to shop start there. I have shopped at the Fair Oaks Mall location many times and generally had good experience there. So, I thought I would encounter the same level of customer service at this location. I was wrong. I had over $250 in merchandise I wanted to purchase. However, I was told that they had a policy which I have never witnessed or heard at the Fair Oaks or Springfield locations. The cashier claimed that my husband had to be there to purchase the items for me since my name was not on the credit card. I explained that I did not understand this policy as it did not make any sense, and offered to show my ID with the same last name of course. I was told that wasn't good enough and I would either have to pay by cash or I could get a friend who was with me to pay for the products and I could just pay my friend back. After hearing this ridiculousness I realized who I was dealing with. I asked to speak with a manager and she reiterated the policy that a customer could only use a credit card with their own name on it, and that I could return later with my husband to purchase the merchandise. I asked her why in my many many prior visits to Fair Oaks and Springfield H&M locations have I never encountered this policy (which I also pointed out to her was not in plain sight for customers to view). The manager literally said to me that those two locations are supposed to but they are not following protocol when they allow someone to pay for a purchase with a credit card other than their own. I'd wasted enough time in that store so I just didn't care to try to outsmart these brainless people. They can talk themselves into circles, I'd just talk to corporate. This H&M location missed out on a $250 sale. Will never step foot in that store again. read more
