Back in the day I would line up at the crack of dawn to be first in line to snag the designer collaborations with the likes of Alexander McQueen, Comme des Garçons, Lagerfeld.... It's been a few years since I've shopped at H&M. I recently received a gift card, so I stopped by to check out the merchandise. The store was fairly empty when I arrived. There were a few associates on the floor conversing with one another. I wasn't greeted or asked if I needed assistance. I was surprised with how big the store was. There was also a separate children's and men's department. The dressing rooms were clean but unattended. Everything was organized, except for the sales racks. I usually find great scores on sales racks but the garments were crammed onto the racks, which made it difficult to sort through. I noticed that some of lower priced clothing was poorly made - throw away pieces for under $10. The higher quality items are pricier. Unfortunately, I was unable to find anything that fit properly so I'll have to use my gift certificate another time. *Parking is 90 minutes free with validation. I wanted to return a jacket that I bought last week. I decided I didn't want it. Yesterday I returned a blouse with no problem. But today there was a very rude woman by the name of "Robin" she claimed to be the manager. She said that because it had a red tag they don't return anything. But the guy there yesterday took my return!!! This woman was a real bitch. Who knows if her real name is Robin. She didn't look like a Robin. And as I was leaving the store a guy walked out and the alarm went off. Apparently he was stealing something. No one came looking for him or to see who had just walked out. Nov 2024 Zero stars This store has a serious issue with staff - H & M corporate should address it immediately due to legal liability. The staff in this store arbitrarily decides how many returns they will accept. You might have spent $X (and have full receipts and unused, ticketed items), but they'll only accept an amount lower than $X, at their whim. There is no written policy that allows them to do so - it's "because I say so." The store was completely empty - clearly the staff is trying to pad the books and make the store account look better than it is. This behavior will get you sued, H & M - good luck! The employees are so condescending. I brought clothes out of the fitting room. As I smiled and was about to tell the girl working in the fitting room they didn't fit me. She didn't let the full sentence coming out of my mouth, she pointed her finger and angrily said: " hang them on the rack over there". Isn't it your job???? I'd not mind but there is a better way to approach it. Definitely the "minimum wage minimum efforts" type of employee but fail to realize why they're working minimum wage job. I have been shopping at this location since they have opened. It has the most clothing items but the worst staffing. Revolving door? Everytime staff are different. Today there were 2 employees and none at the register. I had to ask if one could ring me up and of course I got an unwelcomed attitude. Then i asked if he could validate my parking ticket and I was told to go to women's section. There was nobody at the register and nobody at sight to help. After I validated my ticket behind the register as I was leaving I told one employee that I validated my ticket and did not hear a word from her as if I talked to the wall. If you shop here pay close attention to the prices as they ring you up. Almost at every visit the price does not match the price tag and only one cashier had caught and corrected it. So, yes there are a lot of clothing items and it is relatively quiet but I would give it ZERO for its customer service. read more

I came in today after browsing throughout the store. I asked the cashier if I can get validation for my parking and she stated that I absolutely need to buy something before they can provide me with validation. i've never heard of the requirement like this. I will check with the corporate office to find out whether or not this is a companywide policy or simply a store policy made on behalf of of the manager who does not want to spend time validating parking. Since the H&M at Westfield Santa Anita is under construction at the moment, the Paseo H&M has been my go-to! There's plenty of underground parking and this store is rarely ever packed. It is super organized and you really can shop in peace here. Selection is usually really good and they usually have the sizes I'm looking for. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Dressing rooms are clean and quiet - a dream! The best part is the sale rack! There are so many good finds in the sale section and most sizes are usually available. If you park underground, don't forget to get your parking ticket validated! There is a validation machine to the far left of the registers with a rainbow arrow pointing to it. First time at this location. Usually shop at the one located at the Americana in Glendale. This location actually looks a little bigger. Everything looked neat and in place. The dollar amount for some of the clothes were a little pricy, but others weren't bad. Didn't see to many clothes that I would want to buy for work though. Plenty of casual clothes and some dressy going out clothes. Customer service was fine. This place could use more help though. There were only two employees working there and one of them was so busy with one person. The other employee was kind enough to call me over to his register so that he could help me. H&M has returned to Pasadena. It's now open at Paseo Colorado. The new location is a little bigger than the old one in Old Town. It has a kids' section, unlike the original location. However, it's not one of the better or bigger locations. For example, the H&M at the Americana has a lot more merchandise. The Pasadena one barely has any accessories (jewelry, bags, scarves, gloves, socks, cell phone accessories, hair accessories), cosmetics, or shoes. The lingerie selection is small too. The clothing style ranges from formal/work attire to very casual, younger to more mature adult. Leggings are $9.99 and you can get t-shirts 2 for $10. They did have some big sales for Christmas ($5-$10 clothing) though I didn't find anything I liked. But I'm sure I'll come back and keep hunting. read more

I just came home from the H & M in Paseo Colorado in Pasadena, CA. And I strongly feel that I need to report this to the H & M headquarters, but before I do that, I think I should first let people know what happened. I was trying new dresses in the dressing room. And the person who was attending the dressing room just opened the curtain of the room I was trying new dresses on. When he saw me in the room, he apologized. I asked him why he opened the curtain when the curtain was closed. His answer was that sometimes people just leave with the curtain closed when they are done. I told him that I could have been naked. Luckily, I was fully dressed in the dress I was trying on. He apologized again. When I went to the cash register, he was then there checking people out at the cash register. I just did not feel comfortable interacting with him. I walked around and found someone who was working there. I asked her if she was the manager, and she said yes. I told her what happened in the dressing room. I expected her to apologize right away, but instead, she was defending him. She said sometimes people just leave the curtain closed after they are done using the dressing room. I told her, he should have said something like "is anyone there?". I also told her that I could have been naked. Then she apologized and told me that she would go talk to him. I told her that I did not feel comfortable interacting with him and would like someone else to check out my clothes at the cash register. She said she will help me with that. I watched her when she approached him and talked to him. It looked like they were mother and son. The way she was talking to him did not look at all like a manager scolding the employee. It looked more like she was gently just talking to him. After she was done checking out my clothes, she apologized. The thing that makes me upset is that they both did not seem to take this seriously but just wanted to brush aside by telling me they apologize and get me out of there. I still cannot stop thinking what if I had been naked when he opened the curtain. Natasha was the best H & M store associate in all the locations I've ever been to- which include Hollywood, Manhattan beach, Glendale and Century City. She took the time to make sure my needs are met and beyond and never hesitated to ask on the walkie-talkie for clarity on where an item was in the store. A+ plus plus!!! read more

Pretty standard H&M. They have a pretty large selection of clothes for mainly women and children. The men's clothes is fairly limited but the section is still pretty large. Overall the store is pretty well kept but I have noticed that a lot of the women's clothes often have make up smudged all over it. I think they need to do a little more checks to make sure that if clothes are ruined if dirty they don't go back out on the floor. read more

So this review doesn't go for the H&M employees because I was greeted and welcomed by the employees. They were friendly and helpful. But... the security guard racially profiled me while I was window shopping. Sorry I look suspicious to the guy tho I was window shopping between classes to look at new items and fashion styles. I was wearing a darth Vader lounge-fly backpack and a guitar case on my back. I was trying to kill three hours between classes. Everywhere I went the security guard followed me and stood one foot near me. I purposely walked different locations in the Men's department and he kept following and stand by one foot near me. I was so uncomfortable I legit said out loud I'm gonna take my business somewhere else. So I will never return to this H&M location again. So here's the deal. Not sure if you guys heard of cardcash which is an awesome website. It's a place where you can buy used gift cards for less. Anyway, I've been buying from this website for years now & never had a problem til the night of November 24th. So there we were, shopping away. I was with my 2 kids & my wife. Spent almost an hour shopping looking for stuff we wanted. Having just bought a $200 used H&M gift card for $130, we were all happy & excited. When it was time to pay, we were greeted by this lady on the counter. At first she seemed nice but then when it was time to pay, I told her I had a gift card on my phone, she suddenly changed her mood & became somewhat suspicious. She kept asking me where I got the gift card & I kept telling her that it's an H&M gift card but it felt as if she didn't want to hear it. So I told her that I just used the gift card yesterday at the Northridge H&M & didn't have a problem but she continued to ask me where I got it from almost as if she wanted to tell us to leave. I don't want to think that it's racially motivated but I think it is. My wife asked her if she could key it in or scan it but she wouldn't even try (Can you believe that?) Not one attempt to try was done until finally my wife had enough & asked for the manager & guess what? She was the freakin manager. The employees around her seemed uncomfortable about the situation that they all kept silent as if she had them by the balls. Not a single word from her co-workers was made but by looking at them, they seemed that they wanted to say something but couldn't. Then my wife asked her again "Can you at least try to key it in your system?" & she responded by telling us that she couldn't key it in because the system wont let her. We kept our composure & asked her if there's anything she could do & then she said that she'll call corporate so I told her to go ahead. She spoke on the phone for about 5 minutes until finally she asked me for the gift card again & began keying it in their system which was what she should have done to begin with. It was freakin ridiculous to go through that ordeal for nothing. When my wife asked her if the gift card worked & she responded with a smirk on her face saying "Their conducting an investigation on it. Not with you guys but with the card." I couldn't believe it. Isn't that just stupid? She handed me the receipt afterwards without saying how much my balance was on the card or saying thank you, just a fake disgusting smile that read "Get out of my store!" It was an awful experience especially when you're with your 2 little kids asking you what happened & concerned if I was ok. I just hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

I went to return some items and they said their operation system was offline so they can only give me store credit, which was fine. But when the girl was processing the items, she did it through a regular return, but then realized that it was ringing up as a debit card return, she cancelled the transaction right away... meaning they probably could have done it, but didn't want to do so. She also reduced the price of an item because it recently went on sale. When I checked the receipt, it said that the items were returned as a " return withou receipt," which is a lie because I had my receipt. This is a mess and I never seen a H&M store do this before and I've been shopping at H&M for more than 6 years. Good luck guys if you decide to go this store. read more

I have very mixed feelings about this location every time I come. They are really well stocked so I never have a problem finding a size. HOWEVER, the employees are borderline rude and I've noticed it time and time again. You can also tell there's a fight for power amongst them and honestly as a customer, I shouldn't be able to notice that within the time that I am in the store. read more

Sorry but it helps to know that we're not the only customers who find their employees rude. One of the cashier happily gave my sister-in-law the hangers that came with the blazers (which is standard for clothing stores to provide). When my mom paid for her blazers and ask the male cashier for the hangers he said no and that they don't give hangers because it has their logo and that they can only give us the thin one (which by the way also has their logo). The cashier didn't want to give his name and so is the manager, no managerial skills at all had his name tag reversed so my sister in law flipped to see his name and he slapped my her hands and said not to touch him. They started treating us like a nuisance and he got mad when we said "thanks, Carlos". He said, yes, say my name loud. Terrible experience in this store and I'm so sad for what this world has become, the standards have become so low. read more
