DO BETTER, Disappointed and Overcharged - Will Not Return to H&M West Covina I had a really frustrating experience at the H&M in West Covina that I feel needs to be shared. I found a cute top that was clearly marked $24.99 and went to check out. I handed the cashier/manager a $20 and a $10 bill, then turned to chat with my friend. I noticed the cashier staring at me and realized the total rang up as $38. Shocked and confused, I handed over another $10 just to complete the transaction and walked out feeling something wasn't right.When I looked at the receipt again outside the store, I realized I had been overcharged. I went back in and told the same male manager what happened. He claimed that some of the tops had been marked up but they "must've forgotten to place the new tags" on them--however, NONE of the other tops were marked differently, and the same item was still listed online as $24.99.Instead of honoring the original price, he responded rudely and asked if we just wanted to keep the shirt or return it. I tried to clarify what happened earlier by saying I had given him two bills ($20 and $10), to which he snapped back, "Two what?" His attitude was unhelpful and dismissive the entire time.We ended up going to the H&M in Montclair where the employees were kind, helpful, and just as confused as we were about what had happened in West Covina. They gave us back what was owed without issue.This is a clear case of false advertisement, and unfortunately, I didn't get the name of the male manager involved. I will NOT be going back to the West Covina location. If you're shopping at H&M in the Inland Empire, I strongly recommend the Montclair location instead--they actually treat their customers with respect. read more

2/12 Prices good Customer service SUCKS! Specifically Jonathan! He walked RIGHT BY ME ALMOST KNOCKING INTO ME WITHOUT AN EXCUSE ME OR ANYTHING!!! Update 2/19 My guess is that they COULD CARE LESS about customer service. Three different employees walked past me without even a simple hello smile. Forget about asking to help you! Asked for corporates number since a manager couldn't be found. My in store experience was excellent. Super friendly very efficient. The problem occurred when I called the only number listed as their contact number. I assume is a call center number for all their stores. The information I wanted should be easily accessible but sadly the person on the phone couldn't understand English. All I wanted to know was what was at with mall access was the closest to their stores. I told the lady I wanted info on the West Covina store. She asked me do you know the zip code? No why would I know that? She asked me to look it up. I asked her to look it up she was clueless. I finally told her the zip after I looked it up (even though I'm not the one getting paid here.) She then proceeded to tell me it's by xxl men's store. I was already upset having to deal with her. I get the mall go in by Nordstrom Rack and because that's what she told me was the closest entrance to H&M store. Shocker it's not. Not even close it's all the was over by Macy's on the bottom floor. This review is just long overdue. I love this H&M because they have plenty selection for women and for kids. The Men section is upstairs and Im not sure how it is since I never browse for men. But for the kids, boys and girls, its always beautiful collection, plenty of clearance options, and if they have discount online, and you show it to them, they will give you the discount. I always donate unwanted clothes here too, they will take two bags per day, with three clothes inside. In return they give you 15% off coupon. You can use that for your purchase too, even if its clearance. They take bedding donations too, towels, everything else other than underwear, shoes and jewelry. The women's section is really nice and ranging from cheap to be a little pricy, but overal its good pricing. They also have business casual, business attire, and maternity section. read more

Dear H&M, you just lost your customers because your staffs really don't know how to do proper customer service. The customer service at H&M Westfield West Covina is embarrassingly bad, very terrible!!!!!! I'm usually easy going, but when it comes to a lack of customer service I get pissed and annoyed easily. I've never gone out of my way to give anyone bad review on social media but what I've experienced today was so ridiculous and disappointing. I have no idea how these people have jobs... I came in at 8:30 and grabbed my stuffs really quick as I was aware that mall was about to close in 30min. The register systems went down so only cash be accepted. It was fine to me cuz I could get cash from Wells Fargo ATM within 3 min while my boyfriend was waiting in line. However, the staffs did not let me and asked to put my stuffs on hold until tomorrow. I told them that i lived too far away from the mall so I would not probably come back tomorrow. They apologized for the inconvenience but I didn't accept it because I found the excuse so unreasonable. "We cannot wait longer, we need to leave", that's what they said if I didn't mishear it. Even it'd only take 2 min, they still couldnt wait any longer. Excuse me? More than five customers were still waiting in line, didn't you need to wait until they all paid for their stuffs? I only need 2 minutes, why was it such a big deal? The staff, to be more specific, the lady who was responsible to shut the gate on Saturday night (4/9/2017), just made things more complicated. She doesn't have problem solving skills and definitely not be able to do customer service. There is one thing that she's actually good at, sending her customers away. I so terribly hate to write this because I do love H&M. I hope you get your staffs trained well on customer service. Until then I will shop only at Zara because their customer services are much better than yours. I'm swamped with work 24/7 so I literally have no time for shopping, but when I do, I only shop at either Zara or H&M. Thanks to this unprofessional staff, now shopping will not take much of my time. Dear H&M Management and employees, I have to recognize Leticia for her outstanding service. All of my prior experience with H&M service has been absolutely dismal. Your customer service associates never greet me, don't fold my clothes when bagging them or walk me through using H&M promotionals. Leticia turned all of that around and made me feel so great about my purchase at H&M. I was greeted and was also blown away that she folded me clothes so nicely (I've literally spent hundreds of dollars here only to have a lifeless associate throw my clothes in the bag!!). What do those letters stand for? If it's "hot" and "mess" then it's no wonder I always come up in this place. I've worked out my shopping habits pretty well, and H&M is my "accessory" store. The fit and tailoring of the clothes here don't fit well on a 5'7" regular build Asian guy. The sleeves and length of all tops are just way too long. Ah well! Like I said, this is my 'accessory' store, I've gotten some great gloves, ties, hats etc here. They're affordable and, according to yours truly, very fashionable :D But you can find better shoes at Marshall's for the same price. Customer service is alright, they do their best but it's understaffed. So just keep in mind that you won't be able to flag someone down if you have questions... but you can be like me and take it upon yourself to be your own H&M employee! Staff are not friendly at all! They have a "I hate my life" face on! As I walked into the store, there was no greeting or staff anywhere out on the floor with the exception of the clerks. I came across a guy who at the time I couldn't even tell if he worked there or not, he gave me a hella fake grin and walked away, by the time i realized he worked there, he was long gone.. The clothes here aren't much of bargain like everyone makes it out to be unless I'm missing the deals. I normally shop at Express for my office attire but wanted to give this store a try. I wear xs and a size 2 in clothing and that size seems to run out the quickest. There was a couple of mannequins that had the last xs blouse and a necklace that I wanted but they weren't willing to sell anything on the mannequins which is unfortunate because they're losing sales. read more

What everyone else said about not being greeted sounds about right, but I could care less, I come, I shop, I leave, I'm not one for small talk... There were a lot of associates on the floor putting away & arranging the clothes. I've worked in retail before & know what pigs shoppers can be, so I can't knock them if it looked a little messy, they were moving not just standing around like at other stores. The layout is kind of confusing, and the staff could definitely be friendlier. But I'm giving an extra star because the dress size I needed was only on the mannequin and they let me buy it. The first employee said she couldn't switch it, but after a few seconds said I could try asking the manager. They said they never do that, but decided to let me buy it off the mannequin. Otherwise I would have had to buy it online or go to another store. Seems silly not to let someone buy a product in your store, mannequin or not, because its a sale, but I'm just glad they let me. I probably wouldn't have bothered driving to another store, it would have been stupid knowing my size was right there I just couldn't have it. Overall a very decent store read more

I came here to shop for some men's dress shirts and they has a pretty good selection compared with other locations. I can back to return and switch for another size and they were friendly and courteous. Located in the mall with lots of other stores. These guys suck. You can find some cool clothes for a good price, but theres no customer service. I bought some slacks that I realized had a tear in them hidden behind the tag so I didn't notice until I got home. So I try to replace them. I can't find anymore in that size, or in the same grey that matches the jacket I bought with them. I try for black pants, but they have no black jackets in my size. I ask if they can notify me when they receive more. Nope. I ask them If I could order online and get it shipped to the store. Nope. I ask if they can get it transferred from another store location.
