You get what you pay for since it's cheaper than other massage places. The bed was a doctor's bed with a hole they cut through for your face. Masseuse mostly rubbed with her whole hand instead of using her thumbs and used her elbow which is fine but dug into my shoulder blade or right on my spine on more than a few occasions. I made an appointment the day before for a 1-hour deep tissue massage. I needed a good, professional massage since I was sore after a rigorous hike in the morning and swim the day before. After a few minutes during the massage I could tell that the woman did not know how to give a professional, therapeutic massage. She simply gave me a 4 finger oil rub and did not know the meaning of deep tissue massage. The standard, unprofessional dialogue ensued: Her: 'You ok?' Me: 'No' Her: 'What you want? Ha Ha Ha' Me: 'I need a deep tissue massage' Her: 'Too Hard? Ha Ha Ha' Me: 'No, too Soft!' She applies slightly more pressure massage me with four fingers in a circular motion. She obviously doesn't know how to massage my knots in my back or anything else. Her: 'You ok? Ha Ha Ha' Me: 'No, you don't know how to give a massage' Her: 'I give you another girl, wait 5-minutes' (I could barely understand her English) Well, to make a long, miserable story short, I tried (3) different girls, all with the same result. The dialogue was almost identical with each girl. Just a little sister massage and lots of 'Ha, Ha, Ha'. I cut the massage short and got my money back. Today, I'm still very sore, but made an appointment with a licensed massage therapist tomorrow in San Ramon. Hopefully I will have a better outcome. The good part was scheduling for the same day. I did like the hot stone part. However, I don't like elbows, and wanted more thumbs, and the masseuse said she doesn't do that, but there seemed to be a language barrier. She stepped out in the middle to answer the phone. If I could rate this place a zero I would. I paid 20% tip and the lady was saying I should pay more. I told her most people tip at 20% for good service and she insisted I pay more money for and asked for my credit card to add more tip money. What place forces you to pay certain tip amounts aside from restaurants that charge the max tip of 20% when there are 8 or more guests. I am never going back here. They have absolutely no clue what he is talking about. He shows the confirmation. They still refuse to take him saying they do not have him down for an appointment. My boyfriend is of color and the front desk receptionist starts recording him. He was not causing a disturbance at all. He just wanted a massage. But they started yelling in Chinese and he left. This was honestly my first time ever booking a massage appointment for my self and let me just say I will never be booking with this place ever again. first problem was when I got there they acted like I never had an appointment to begin with. My first massage post Covid and one of the worst massages I can recall ever having. The pressure was inconsistent and she completely missed all the knots. She asked me what areas I wanted to work on I told her but she worked on that and more it was so good by the time I thought we were done I still had another 15 minutes to go and I would've paid for another 30 minutes if I knew that it was going to be that good. Talked to a lady who sounded profesional on phone who said would call me back and let me know if she could do a 90 min massage and basic facial. Received call back from a man saying can do it. Got there within 10 min and when arrived stayed who I was and lady at front acted like she had no clue what I was talking about, English wasn't great but after pointing on wall menu stated she needed to go talk to her manager. Manager comes out sus he can only do one service either the 90 min massage or 60 min facial which is not what I was told in phone, he stated reason is they close at 8, which I thought they closed at 10. Looking back at page on first it says 8 pm on another it says 10. Lady starts walking me to the room and halfway there she stops, looks at me and says pay first. Ooook. So we go back to the front where my massage cost 90 and I handed her 100 in 20's she counts it takes it and starts walking to room. I stop her and say can I have my change, I tip after massage. She hurriedly walks to the back and comes back with a 5 in each hand, I take them both and again repeat I tip after. We go to the room that looks clean. Paper towel face cover but whatever, but on top of the sheet and blanket there is this weird looking towel/blanket, she points to the bed and artes head down with nothing pulled upon just the towel thing. Massage starts and she is rapidly rubbing my back and knocking me in the back of my head, I have a high ponytail so that's not bumped. She then pulls down my underwear halfway, with the towel on my lower legs but continues massaging my back so my butts just hanging out, she slows down the speed and mostly stops knocking my head but is breathing really hard with no mask. I then start to feel my back being scratched by what feels like rings and her nails randomly while massaging, not enough to pierce skin but hard enough. Next her hair I feel start dragging over my back. From the start of the massage I'm trying to figure how to get out. While massaging my butt her finger would hit the inside of top of crack and at one point her elbow was hanging there way longer than expected for a accident for leverage while she massage my butt cheek. She finishes my lower body, then just walks out. I hear want sounds like her washing her hands which was not done at the start. She eventually comes back with towels to wipe off oil, front door chimes, and by now I've tucked my butt back in my undies good thing because she walks out leaving door open while I'm exposed to below my panties, I hear her talking to the guy manager, then she walks back in. When said to turn, I politely declined rest of massage and got the bell out of there. I have never left a massage and I get them a lot but yikes will never go there. My last site of the masseuse was her oil saturated hair from it rubbing on me throughout the massage, I felt so uncomfortable and disgusting. Worse massage ever. Should have stopped at all the red flags before it even started. read more
