We recently moved to Bee Cave, and this H-E-B isn't too far from us. In my opinion, it's one of the nicest-looking H-E-Bs in Texas. It's huge and very open, almost Costco-like in feel. I stopped by the day before Thanksgiving, which wasn't the best time to shop, and it took a while to find everything simply because of how big the store is. You can end up covering multiple aisles just to grab one item. Not necessarily a bad thing, just something to get used to. Overall, the vibe is spacious and the people are pleasant. read more

Love your new breakfast burritos.. BUT.. when you cook in air fryer the directions are fold side down and flip halfway. It works amazing if folded correctly. If not, they flip open and burn. I rarely write requests, but the fold does matter for heating these. I love them , and just hoping if someone reads this, it is only constructive. read more

I used to work here. And I can say that it is a great company, with kind employees and management. It tends to be a very busy location, but they do a great job here and there's plenty of HEB branded products that are cheaper and better than name brands. Their meat is quality, and they offer tons of organic produce. Plenty of flower options Prices are good. It's my favorite grocery store hands down. read more

HEB has turned into a monopoly run all they do is add more to your ticket and not only that if you leave a bag there and they put the receipt in the bag you're screwed you have to understand this is theft. I was very disappointed the prices are higher than ever you can't even buy anything simple anymore in the store the people are downright weird and mean sometimes and they even have people that bag your items incorrectly I now will avoid HEB at all cost. They do not have what it takes anymore they used to be one of the best now they're 1 of the worst the eggs are not that cheap here if you look to see if you can get a really good deal on eggs they're still pretty high and it's supposed to be at a lower price. They're absolutely robbing you here I would not come to this Lakeway HEB there are many other stores you can go especially Randall's and Target and mini and even Whole Foods whole foods is now owned by Amazon. So I prefer to go to Whole Foods then go to this very high-priced and chemically induced foods that they poured in you with. So I do not recommend HEB of any kind. The pharmacy is even more ridiculous they usually do not have the correct type of prescription and they refuse to fill your prescriptions if you have one small error on your prescription by the physician. read more

I only go here for the pharmacy which is awful. Unprofessional. No parking. Not enough staff. SLOW. EVERYTIME. Will not contact physician for refills, although they say they will. I have a sinus infection. It's terrible and painful. The script was called in on Thursday and was filled on Saturday. The pharmacist do not care about patients pain, infection getting worse or even to communicate that maybe you should get it filled somewhere else because we are so busy. . I had a script for another drug in July that is rare. I understood that my co pay was over $1000. They said, I don't know this drug. We can't fill this drug. Call the pharmaceutical company to see if they know where to buy it. This is heart medicine. This is the care HEB LAKEWAY PHARMACY PROVIDES. . Also, their app is awful. There is no search option. It needs major upgrades. Plus, they are supposed to text or email the person once the script is filled. That does NOT always happened. read more

Everything is bigger in Texas! This HEB is no exception. I'm staying with family in the area and we had to pick up a few things like iced coffee, milk, bloody mary mix, limes and frozen yogurt. (Interesting mix, i know). I was immediately overwhelmed by the size of this place. It's huge. We don't have anything quite like this in upstate NY...especially the wine and liquor section! The variety of wine choices was on par with any well stocked NYS liquor store. Basically, whatever you might need/don't need - or just want - you'll find it here. Did a little research and found out the this is a privately owned chain - by the "Butt" family. HEB stands for "Herbert E. Butt" - and they're based out of San Antonio, TX. Not sure if all of the stores are as clean and well stocked as this one....but it's impressive for sure. read more

Stop letting people bring pets into the store! It's disgusting. I've seen managers look right at customers doing this and say nothing. Service Dogs are 100% acceptable. I'm talking about PETS. It's beyond vile. It is happening right now, 5pm on 10/4/24 in produce! I'm tired of finding an associate to point this out while kindly asking them to let management know. pharmacy is really bad. I was asked to literally make a loop. Then I made the loop so that they could update my insurance. And then I was asked to make another loop so I was continually asked to make a loop and instead of asking me to come back in 10 minutes. Really silly! read more

I constantly see privileged individuals bringing their Pets(dogs )inside the shopping carts. There's a Big sign clearly saying SERVICE DOGS ONLY!!!! Not your little pet dog that you don't want to leave at home!!!!!! And when you complain to management that look like your bothering them!!! SO. The Texas Health Department would love to investigate something like this. It's against the health department code to have dogs or animals inside the grocery basket period!! It's unsanitary Ok!!! The employees are scared to offend their customers. Bottom line. It's evident what a real certified service dog is !!!! I have one !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only time will tell!! read more

This is my favorite HEB that's near me. They always have more of the items we like compared to Bee Cave. Their gas station is way better too. The checkers are always si friendly. Yes there are times that I have to bag my own groceries but it seems as though when a worker sees that happening, they hurry over to finish it for you. I've not tried this pharmacy since I've had good service with the HEB one that I hate to switch and be disappointed. I'm sure it's fine though! Overall, I'm pretty pleased with this HEB. But a word of caution, don't waste your time and money on their worthless car wash. Lol read more

HEB isn't what it once was. I've been a loyal customer my entire life. Our relationship changed last week. I am now shopping elsewhere. Why? - I get digital advertisements presented to me that don't qualify at my store. - The products available vary between this store and the store 3 miles away -The lines are now consistently long and people are directed to self checkout. - The cashiers consistently forget to scan my coupons. Probably because they are trying to keep up with the lines. - The aisles are now congested with carts for servicing online orders. -I frequently bag my own groceries while baggers are engaged in side conversations or standing around -Contacting corporate is pointless. I always get the same to the point response -contact the store manager. -The problems are systemic yet corporate chooses to pass the buck read more

I'm a big central market fan and I've been having gripes about driving all the way to westlake to go to their grocery. I got fed up one day and decided to use HEB instead...thinking that it would a downgrade from central market. I was pleasantly surprised to learn a few things about this HEB. Firstly, the meat department mentioned that the meat source is the SAME as Central market. But you pay less! You don't have some of the rare cuts and speciality meat at times (e.g., some dry aged meat) but for the most part, it is an equivalent to central market. I confirmed this when I went to central market and asked for lamb rib chops..only to have the butcher bring an HEB package...that was 10-20% more than what was sold at HEB! Their produce is top notch and they have a wide selection of organic fruits and veggies which I always appreciate. The one qualm I have about the HEB is the lack of good prepared foods. Sorry HEB fans. It isn't up to Central market standards. Minus that, this place is great and deserves a 5 thumbs up - especially when you factor in price! read more

I used to love Wegmans market on the east coast. HEB for me is... better than Wegmans on almost everything other than the food court (because HEB does not have a food court. Central Market does). Out of the 3 HEBs in the neighborhood (West Lake, Bee Cave, Lakeway), this branch is the best one in my honest opinion. 1. The store inside is always so clean and organized. 2. Pharmacy prices are awesome. You don't even have to pull out your RX app. 3. Meat department is amazing!!! We still go to the Central Market for some specialty cut meats (e.g.Kalbi Korean marinade short rib). But honestly, I have no complaints about the HEB meat department. Their quality meat tastes so clean and delicious, and prices are lower than Central Market or even Whole Foods! Their NY strip cuts are better than the ones I had in NY.... 4. Seafood department. Central Market seafood section is much better, however, I don't have any complaints about the HEB one. The staffs are always nice, and I was pretty happy with whatever I got. So far, we've tried lobster, mussels, scallops, and shrimp. HEB shrimp was the least favorite one, but other than that, it was great. 5. I love their veggie department. Sometimes, they have the strangest small local fruits, and they taste AMAZING. And their veggies are always so fresh and crisp. Texans are so blessed and spoiled to have HEB. It is indeed one of the best supermarkets that we've been to. read more

Not bad for a chain. And a local one at least. My only issue is congested parking and the size of the locations accounts for busy, crowded and overwhelming at times really. Whole Foods and Randall's are way less crowded, and perhaps not as popular, but often preferred. Still H‑E‑B has some great prices and a good selection. With old school printed coupons (which they are trying to get away from..I hope not!) to add to the savings. Ample self check out lanes. And always friendly staff..truly some of the best customer service at a grocery store. Glad to have some nice well kept locations nearby (as the inner city locations can be even more congested and sketchy). We truly are spoiled with our selections here..not complaining. read more

This is one of the most awe-inspiring grocery stores I have ever been in. It is huge. It has everything. It is one of the most crowded places on Earth. Still, this is my ideal grocery store and the one I compare wherever I go. This HEB basically has everything. There is a massive produce section, a huge meat section (although I admit I have never really gone through there much), an immense bakery, all kinds of cosmetics and pharmacy goods, and, of course, food for everyone. There is even a special aisle for vegans and gluten free patrons. And the wine! There is such a great wine section, often with free samples. Everyone I have ever encountered working there has been a total sweetheart. I have returned things, and they were always cool. Every checkout stand is manned with a smile, even though it often looks like Disney World in June with wall-to-wall people. I once even stood at the end of an aisle watching the chaos of carts ramming one another, and the friendly employee just smiled and asked how she could help in between the insanity. I truly don't know how they manage to have such positive attitudes. I only subtract a star because of the crowds, which is sort of unfair I realize, as this is not the store's fault. They are just really awesome, and I can only assume that people are hip to this, so they travel to come here. Oh, and did I mention there is also a restaurant and bar? Yeah, everything is here. I got a recommendation to eat at the restaurant that's attached to HEB. It's called Table 620. It's like Table 57 in Houston, but they have a larger menu of comfort food and a full bar. I had time to get coffee. They have two strengths of good tasting coffee where you pick up the cup at the order counter: one regular and one strong. They have all types of sweeteners, and they also have agave nectar at the bar. It was around noon time, and I expected the coffee to be extremely burnt, but it Was better than expected. The service here is helpful and really quick. Their restroom is modern, clean and touch-less, and everything worked. The people here are very helpful, even in the store. HEB desserts and displays look really good. The gift store is very nice and they have a big selection of flowers. I would definitely come back for a meal. I checked out some of the neighboring orders, and they look as delicious as their advertisements. I think this is the nicest grocery store overall that I have been to As far as a balance of quality, variety, presentation, and service. read more

I work in healthcare so I appreciate the steps H-E-B seemed to be taking to protect the health of their customers and staff. At the only access point into the store they made me switch baskets because I brought one in from the parking lot. Then they suggested hand sanitizer and reminded me about social distancing. All good things! Unfortunately, that is were it seems where the enforcement stops. Half of the staff, stockers, people at the entrance and exit, and some at the checkout were not wear person protective equipment. The clerk (wearing a mask) and checking out my items made sure everyone in her line stayed on the red social distancing box, and yet the lady bagging my groceries was not. I looked behind me and the cashier behind me was not either. I really like this store and the people, but no one in my 520 employee agency gets into the building without a screening. No one walks through the public spaces without a mask. The virus lives on surfaces for quite awhile and while you have lots of uninformed or uncaring customers coming in without masks, the employees should uniformly either be doing it. I understand, PPE is not fun to wear - it's uncomfortable, but so is getting put on a respirator. read more

Well one can hardly go wrong with HEB. They stand for quality, sustainability and sound customer service. Though at my last visit when I was checking out at the counter, the staff by mistake dropped the bag of organic grapes which we had bought. He quickly filled the bag up , threw away all the grapes in the trash, which could have been easily washed and used. I had no problem purchasing the product instead of seeing it being thrown away in trash. I expected him to at least ask me if I was fine to use it but within a split of second it was trashed. He did offer me another bag but still wasting food which was still good to be consumed somewhat bothered me. HEB should look up into these kind of events and frame policies accordingly. read more

How lucky to have this incredible HEB so close to home! After a much anticipated wait, watching the construction as they built it (they will come), this ONE OF A KIND HEB opened today. So excited about a grocery store? Yup! MUCH more than just a market, and now I don't have to make the journey down to Bee Cave or up to Four Points. First, this place is huge - a massive 100,000 sq ft. and was reportedly custom built and tailored to the "Lake Travis lifestyle"...whatever that means. Lol. As part of the Oak at Lakeway Center (still under construction; will have bowling alley, restaurants, retail, etc.), HEB is a great and welcomed addition to the community. So, yes, groceries: vast produce section )inc. local and organic), all the average essentials, an extra large olive bar, a cheese department that offers 300+ varieties (from local to international) including in-store made mozzarella, juice bar with assorted fresh choices daily, and so on and so on. Other than the wine sampling bar, one of the things I'm most excited about it the butcher counter. This location does in-store dry-aged beef AND you can choose your cut (full loin required, but at about 400 bucks for ~20 ppl not bad for a special occasion), tag it with your name, and stop by from time to time to view it behind the glass for a span of 21 to 121 days during the process before taking it home and throwing on the wood burning grill (can't wait!)...or buy a couple pre-aged steaks at a premium price for a party of two. Oh, and GREAT selection of craft beers (inc. local Lake Travis brewery favs Infamous and Oasis Texas) and wines from all regions. The floral department, called Blooms, is exquisite and also stocks many home goods for purchase. There are tons of artisan items that make great gifts (e.g., jewelry, soaps, etc...and even handbags!). Certainly makes the mundane task of grocery shopping much more fun, albeit more time consuming and perhaps (okay, maybe for sure) more expensive. Don't really feel like "cooking?" Then you can dine-in at Table 620, the counter service restaurant and FULL bar inside the store. [Note: Sadly wasn't open on first day, so will have to check it out later and write an updated review.] OR, you can peruse The Meal Simple station pre-packaged foods (with nutritional info on each, and great portion control) that you take home and bake for about 20 minutes all for a mere ~$6-8 p/p. Simple and inexpensive. My hubby was thrilled to see this section and stated "I'll cook!" Um, yeah...haha...I'm actually thrilled too. :D As with almost all HEBs I've been to, the customer service at the Lakeway store is stellar - even on day 1. Well-trained, knowledgeable, and friendly. And trust me, with all this vastness, you will have questions and possibly some need directions (or just pick up or look at one of their maps available throughout the store). Happy hunting! I often see people checking their receipts when they leave H-E-B. I now do the same after SEVERAL times being charged the incorrect price for different items. An occasional wrong price would be understandable but I've had an issue where the sale price on wine did not ring up correctly on 3 consecutive trips to HEB. I image it is happening in a LOT of purchases. They are large enough to be able to manage having correct prices loaded. Disappointing for a TX company. read more

I like this H-E-B, and it has the added perk of being an HEB+. Most of the 'Plus' stores have something special added to their extra-large store footprint; this one has an awesome outdoors leisure section (where you can buy lawn furniture, grills, plants, that sort of thing), and its very own bar/restaurant, Table 620 (which I reviewed and gave 3 stars). Prices are in line with other HEBs, and I like the fact that this shopping center is so new and clean. The gas station is new, and it seems that all the pumps work! Pro Tip: There is a Torchy's Tacos 'coming soon' to the spot across the street. If you're a fan like me, what's there not to like? (Aside from the fact that it's not open yet.) read more
