L-U-V U... H-E-B! Man, I wish I had one of these in California! It's essentially an upper-tier version of Smart & Final and Vons. It's got all of the features you'd expect such as a bakery, meat shop/deli, wine shop, fresh vegetables, and household essentials. I spotted plenty of cooking utensils and a large section of baby items. I purchased some Lysol wipes as I was staying at an Airbnb that needed a good wipe down. The standout buys on this trip were the chocolate chip muffins and sparkling water! The muffins at H-E-B are just as good, if not better than the ones at Costco. Additionally, I got a 12 pack of sparkling water cans for less than $4. I bought the refreshing coconut flavor and they're comparable to La Croix. Business Center's H-E-B Plus! also had dietary supplements and vitamins. I bought some fiber and contact cleaning solution near this section. Overall, the store was spacious and they didn't rush us out the door even though it was close to closing. A 20, 15, and 10 min. alert would sound over the loudspeaker but it was pleasant. Staff were friendly and professional. I bought a reusable bag with the state of Texas on it and an armadillo, to which they reassured me that it's a sturdy bag. My only concern was that there was noticeable glass in the parking lot! It was very dangerous and needed to be cleaned up ASAP. Thankfully, I didn't cut myself or pop a tire. Actually enjoy my visit to this store. I'm not sure why the stars are so low. The food is really fresh. They have the demo station out cooking on the weekend and the samples of wine to taste. This was a nice vibe for me. You can never go wrong with them. The meat section is fresh. They have the bayou boil stand outside and you can get steamed items from the seafood section with flavors inside They have cronuts. And brisket queso. For a quick meal or full grocery shopping this is an excellent choice. read more

Moving to TX so I can shop at HEB! I'd seen the brand numerous times on social media and was excited to see a location near our hotel. Great prices, good variety good service. I was looking for a specific meat rub and saw Jacob preparing to stock shelves. Jacob attempted to help then asked Ellie to join in the search. Turns out my sources were wrong and HEB does not carry the rub, but I appreciated the kind service. We grabbed some goodies and headed to the check out. I was ecstatic to find fresh watermelon juice but sadly it was grainy and 100% bland. Love HEB and can't wait to visit again. read more

I bought n cooked a Prime NY Strip from the butcher area here the other night. It was thick enough, contained enough redness and marbling as well as coming out awesome with only plenty of kosher salt & coarse black pepper used for the spices. When I go to an upscale steakhouse, I request rare, but cooking at home for extra caution I cook it medium rare in my oven broiler. Their unsweetened iced tea is very good, tasty n refreshing here with a lemony zing to it and 0 calories on top of all this. read more

HEB cakes have always matched my expectations , and this one exceeded all. The richest cake i have ever tasted, it had hazelnut, chocolate glaze, chocolate mousse and some crunchy part which I am not sure what it was but tasted so good... This supposedly was specifically ordered for Valentines day and came all the way from Italy ( and here I thought everything HEB was locally sourced). Was in Pearland and decided to check out HEB Plus+ to see what the difference is vs. a normal HEB? Visited on a Wednesday morning around 9:30am. Not too busy...upon entering I noticed the interior was slightly bigger. Asked someone in produce, "What is the major difference between HEB Plus+ vs normal location? He replied, it's slightly bigger, they have a big furnishings area and their customer service area is bigger. Upon walking around, didn't notice anything that was out of a normal HEB...HEB does a really good job of presentation of products, very clean and organized on every isle. Prices are slightly higher than most of their competitors and the only concern I have with HEB as a whole is the lack of customer awareness, service, and experience. No one offers a greeting or help?!? I feel the employees and staff are more like robots/zombies than humans!?!? With all the choices we have to shop for your grocery needs (ie Walmart, Target, Aldi, Kroger). I believe providing above and beyond customer service and experience can differentiate. This place is creepy. It gives me the HEB-y Jeebies. But that's just me. It's time to HEB on down to the Head. I meant, never mind. This is the grocery store that we've used on three or four occasions when visiting Pearland, and we usually to go to the town center for bubble tea and shopping, and then come here to get stuff for the house. It's a good one and it's clean and it's well-stocked and employees are surprisingly friendly. They don't always have all the stuff that the ones by our house do but generally it's good. Getting in and out can be annoying if it's really busy but that could be said about most of these stores. read more

We use the curbside option a lot, and the reason I can't give 5 stars is that they forget to include stuff often! 2/3 times, they miss something and we end up having to email HEB to have them refund us. Then, we end up needing to go in person to pick it up ourselves anyway. Other than that, we love this HEB! read more

I'm a huge H-E-B fan. I visit this location at least twice a week. I like how quickly the self checkout moves. This location is always clean and stocked on the inside. At least during the week. I have gone in on a Sunday, and parking was a nightmare. But other than that I love this location. So the other HEB I used to go to by my old place had a parking garage. This one is just a parking lot. Which is fine. They also have a gas station as well at this location. Inside there are mini stores, like a nail salon and a place to get your eyebrows threaded. The pharmacy is pretty good as well. They have a drive thru, so you don't have to go in to pick up prescriptions. I am a huge fan of HEB pharmacies. This location also has plants out front for purchase which is nice. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone in the Pearland area. read more

HEB still ranks High with me, just remember each experience is just that! This location is always an awesome market to shop for a wide range and variety of groceries, amongst other things barbecue grills, toys and limited clothing items, wine selections and more. So, this location comes highly recommended. However, on my last shopping visit this weekend the 2 checking me out did need to take that HEB care with the bagging. Heavier items where placed on smaller, more weak and fragile ones. Of course, I tried to mitigate some of this moving a 1 or 2 bags to the top of the cart, however, the pineapples did spill (leak) out from the container. In short each bag should be treated with concern for whats in it. Most importantly, if you need food they have it. I do appreciate how they have and are constantly working to improve my favorite section, yes the were you find the most delicious delights for a vegan eater. The food here is good and varied - large selection! I have had no issue with staff or long lines when I have visited this store. I don't like the coupon system they have , but you can have everything. The store is well lit and there are many services available at the front customer service desk. read more

I haven't quite warmed up to this H-E-B yet. I was intrigued by the "plus" aspect of the H-E-B chain yet, but feel a little underwhelmed by the extras offered (basically cheap ugly clothing and a few home goods). Employees haven't been the most friendly here. Just kind of "meh." I guess *most* products have been in stock. (Couldn't find hand soap but that's pretty much EVERYWHERE. Apparently before Covid-19, no one washed their hands bc I could find hand soap everywhere.) Prices here seemed a bit higher than the Midland H-E-B prices but unsure if that is due to the pandemic or not. Still getting used to the store. Maybe I'll revisit this review in the future and see if my view has changed. read more

Had to pick up some last minute items for Christmas Day and was surprised to find that it wasn't very crowded. Of course the shelves needed to be stocked but that was understandable. They were actually stocking as needed during the day. I was looking for a bottle wine that was sold out and someone in that department told me to come back around in a few minutes because they were about to restock the shelves. The produce and seafood departments are usually pretty busy so I was prepared for that. The wait in the checkout line wasn't very long. Yay! read more

I miss HEB, so it was a joy and a pleasure to be in one again ......especially a Plus! store. Oh, HEB, why do you keep opening pricey Central Markets in the city, but no HEB stores? {enter sad face emoji here.} Besides reasonably priced groceries, the big winners for me were as follows: huge selection of sample sizes of all natural hair products; outdoor furniture section; small clothing section area; large cookware and kitchen textile area; giant clearance item area; and live music! Yes, I was overjoyed to be in HEB, so I spent 2 hours there - just rolling around every single aisle like a dazed kid in a candy store. Also, I was there during lunch hours, so I sampled fish, chicken, wine, sushi, and dessert. All the usual HEB grocery store sections are here as well. (My only negative: I didn't enjoy the sushi that I purchased. The tuna wasn't up to par.) There was a live kid's jazz band entertaining customers, and those tiny tikes could blow! The manager was listening to them along with the crowd, so he and I had a chance to chat. He said that they are going to be doing more "events" like this in the store. First never go shopping when you are hungry - especially if there is a Niko Niko inside. Yeah I had no idea that this HEB was so AWESOME! Probably the biggest HEB in Houston / Texas - so much variety. The staff was friendly helping me navigate the maze - yes they do have signs up above but sometimes you want help from someone with a great smile. If they don't have what you need here you are likely going to have to order it online seriously they carry electronics as well. GO here if not for anything else for the Niko Nikos - I'll definitely be making it a regular thing. read more

If you're trying to get some steps in while you shop, come here! This HEB Plus is gigantic!!! I didn't even make it to the other side of the store. I wandered the delicatessen and produce area for 30 minutes and still only scratched the surface on the variety of products offered here. Lots of choices and options for you. If this store doesn't have it, you're not going to find it in Houston most likely lol I specifically came here for a sushi fix. In the mist of construction and covid, there was no one live creating sushi amongst the crowds. On a Thursday evening, the selection was still ample. Chopsticks and packages of soy were available towards the back of the case ofr pickup. I was satisfied with selection when I came home and ate it. (Actually I was suppose to just taste a piece and save it for lunch, but that didn't happen)! In any case the sushi was fresh and my checkout painless. Lots of registers were open for self checkout in the evening. Thank. YOU!!! Biggest pet peeve is going in to a store for a few items and needing to self check out but only 2 or two ate working or if there is a problem only 1 attendant is available during peak hours to handle the crowd. At this store on this day of my visit, I had but one problem with the cashier & the swiping of my debit card for a major grocery purchase. This was human error & could've been avoided. It's been awhile since I've shopped at this HEB since the one on Pearland Pkwy opened a few months ago. It's also kind of a hassle to get over here from the east side of Pearland since Shadow Creek is a CF. Needless to say, there have been some changes and renovations since my last visit. They have expanded the back of the store. The entertainment section has been moved more to the middle back of the store where the old dairy aisle used to be. They moved the milk to the back right of the store where the entertainment used to be. They also have more room for things like bottled water and paper products. It really helps with the flow of traffic. I never understood why the milk and eggs were in the middle of the store and not on the perimeter. Another change I noticed is that Cafe on the Run is in the midst of a makeover. All of the signage now says Niko Niko's. I love Greek food, so this could be a nice change, but I'm curious to see how it will be because I was a fan of Cafe on the Run. You can't go wrong with the Orange Plate specials! The staff is friendly as usual and the prices are cheap. I'll have to come back to this location in a few months after Niko Niko's is complete. read more

Crowded, unfriendly, and cashiers totally ignore you when you ask a question. Dead flowers everywhere. I was also solicited to buy gospel music in the freezer section by a Black man. On a separate occasion a Hispanic man rammed by basket intentionally. Worst experience ever makes me want to carry a weapon or call the police.This location is closer to my home but I would rather drive elsewhere than to be treated like this. Disappointed at HEB bakery. Went by the bakery on Tuesday night 5/22/18 to check in getting a cake made. Was told I would have to come back and speak with the manager. 3 phone calls and 2 trips later the manager was finally available. I discussed the type of cake I wanted, provided a picture for the cake as well. Went to get my cake on Saturday to find that the picture was correct in form but some reason they changed the background color to green. Mind you I asked the manager and said need the design just like the picture. To me just like includes color too. So I had to spend the remainder of the day exposing to my guest why the picture back ground was green and not the school colors. read more

This location just has so much bad luck for me I went into the store wearing a hat and my hat flew off my head which never happens to me ever and it happened to me twice in my life only at Heb lol once the second time it happened ironically yesterday I said F this store and never will come there again and there was even a line like it was Black Friday outside. As HEBs go, this one certainly is not my favorite. I use this one occasionally when I am visiting friends; thankfully they warned me so my expectations were not as high as usual. The basics are there but the shelves often are not stocked, the checkers are slow, and the parking lot is often a mess. Employees don't just don't seem to have pride in their store, for whatever reason. It's too bad but in general I avoid going to this store except when I have to do so. read more

I really love our local HEB Plus! It's a bit Walmart-esque, especially since the store was billed as a Central Market type of market. You don't get the quality or the selection of Central Market, which is why I still find myself shopping at CM every weekend...but HEB Plus does carry a lot of great meats, seafood, and grocery items. The staff is no where near as friendly as CM, or as knowledgeable. But I usually find myself at HEB to buy Raid Spray, napkins, or cough drops...many items that CM does not carry. In that sense, they are a great neighborhood grocery store. They are much cleaner than even Target or Walmart and have a huge selection of household items, beauty products, pharmaceuticals, pet products, and toys. I love HEB Plus! It's a nice superstore with almost anything you can imagine. In fact, if I can't find something here I get annoyed like... what?! The lines can get super long especially during weekends. They usually have wine sampling Saturday mornings and sample different prepared entrees with receipts right in front of the station. I love that because if you try a dish you like you aren't forced to go on a treasure hunt. Simply put, it's a nice grocer, not the best but gets the job done. read more
