Went in the other day and was yet again amazed at the superb customer service. Pretty busy day...management opened cashiers quickly. My cashier was Melissa. She was friendly and fast...even noticed a hole in a bag of pretzels. Pretzels replaced promptly. My bagger was also friendly and asked if I needed help to the car. When I arrived at the car, a young man, James M, who was retrieving shopping carts, immediately inquired if I needed help putting the bags into my car. Usually, people in stores avoid eye contact and certainly aren't looking for any work to do....see verizon in sugar land or walmart in stafford. There are plenty of bad examples....but only a shining few like the HEB in richmond. I don't live nearby, but I drive here so they can treat me like royalty. Well done HEB....your commitment to the consumer is in stark contrast to many of your competitors. read more

This heb is spacious and has a wide selection of products, it is my one stop shop for food and personal care products. Many times I find the prices here much lower than Walmart. Everybody loves HEB. From the fresh selection of fruits and vegetables, the quality seafood and meat market & the endless YELLOW COUPONS lol. My 2 year old lights up with wonder when we pull up in the parking lot while my 10 year old braces himself for the samples lol. HEB will always get my vote. I have to say this is by far my favorite grocery store in Sugar Land. All of the HEB stores are good, but I tend to shop at this one the most since it is closer to home. Very rarely are they out of stock for the groceries I like to buy, though I must say the Potato Soup Kit, which my family really enjoys, tends to be a little bit hit-or-miss. Sometimes they have it; sometimes they don't. Not sure if that's because of the demand or what. I'm always impressed with the main cooking station, which always has something interesting to try. The cooks are not pushy about selling the products but do encourage you. Overall, my experiences here have been very, very good. I will continue to shop for my family at this store. read more

I need to give a shoutout to this HEB Bakery department. I needed a last minute birthday cake for my nephew and he's into Golden Warriors. Even though I called up to order on the same day around a few hours before I had to pick it up, they said they would try their best to do the cake with a Sports theme but couldn't promise much else since there wasn't enough time. It was my fault, so I told them I would take whatever I could get. I pick the cake up at 4pm and not only was the cake in a sports theme, but they also managed to make it a basketball cake along with the Golden Warriors theme colors and plastic players! My nephew was thrilled!!!! They did an awesome job!! read more

Black buckets everywhere today catching the rain throughout the store. This HEB is a mess and it's falling apart. Things don't seem to be improving here and it's very disappointing. I at one time enjoyed shopping here but now it's worth the trip to go to the newer location at Brazos. read more

While I like several of the HEB brand products and the staff was very nice. I was surprised when I got home to see that a handful of items i choose where miss marked. My fault for not paying enough attention at the check out, but there where items a few dollars off! I do enjoy the heb products, but since the store is so popular, it makes it difficult to park and to get in and out of the store in a timely fashion. read more

Bought a birthday cake and it was beautiful however by the time I got home the top cake had completely slid off. I called and spoke with Luis who said I could come back to the store however there little he could do. I asked him if they could fix the cake and if nothing else to make the cake. Solid color. He said no and we would have to pay again for a cake because we weren't careful. He also mentioned that this sort of thing happens a lot because people aren't careful. I asked how many dowels they use. He showed me what looked like plastic straws however the are only to hold each cake together not one layer to the next. We asked to speak to a manager and he agreed we needed to pay as this issue was ours. Wow, an expense lesson to learn for us and we got blamed for making him pay overtime since he kept an employee over his shift. My sincere apologies H-E-B not my intention to cost you and me both any additional money. read more

Worst meat department I have ever seen spoild meat in EVERY CATAGORY I bought a bag of frozen tilapia that every filet had worms in it I bought stew meat that was bright red on the coplete outside looked amazing then I cut into the cubes to find each one had a brown center thought I bought Tootsie pops I was told this was normal natural oxidation then how come the complete OXYGEN EXPOSED outside of each one was a nice fluffy red sounds like someone puts their bad meat in red dye and passes it on TO THE CUSTOMER i bought hamburger meat that ended up being shipped hamburger wrapped in fresh hamburger I took some very disgusting almost black peices to the manager even the skin was discolored and snatched it out of my hand he told me they were fine just dark what a crock bet he wouldn't put it on his table mind you I bought all of this in one trip the meat department in Richmond Texas is not any better and I mean come on guys why does all of your lunch meat have a opal shimmer to it wtf is that worst meats hands down and I thought Walmart meat was questionable well back at Walmart now HEB JUST LOST A LIFE LONG VERY DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER FYI MY DOG WOULDNT EVEN TOUCH IT read more

Great location. You don't have to pay Whole Foods prices for Organic produce and herbs at this location. It has a healthy selection of fresh organic produce that is sure to meet your most basic needs. And it's this specific location, as some of them are entirely different. This is a really nice location that's well organized and clean. read more

The Floral department (and Carmen) did a FANTASTIC job on the flowers I ordered for my wedding! The bridal bouquet, the bridesmaids bouquets, the boutonnieres were all beautiful, well done...in a word, perfect! I highly recommend them for any bride, whether you are on a budget or not. read more

This is my neighborhood HEB, I was really disappointed today when I was the second customer they had this morning at 6am. I walked in and not one person at the front said hello and I made sure to walk around the whole store to see if anyone would engage in saying hello out of fourteen employees only one said hello and good morning while he was placing back items from a cart. I am an ER nurse and rely on customer service from all the hospitals our patients can choose to go to and so I always make a point to say hello and thank you. This place definitely needs to make an effort to learn AIDET (Acknowledge your customer, Introduce yourself to the customer, Duration meaning spend sometime to get to know your customers, Explanation or engage with your customers and last but very important thank your customer) so they don't go to Krogers or whole foods. Please let's not make this place like the dreaded Walmart customer services that we try to avoid. I'm still loyal but disappointed, you guys smile and engage with your coworkers but can't say hello to us read more

This HEB is always clean and organized. The in store yellow coupon deals are great. I like the layout of the store.

Let me start out explaining I have been the biggest HEB fan for years! I have an excel spreadsheet created for this store based on the isle. That is how often I shopped there. I was devastated last Thursday when I had done my big grocery shopping, app. $300 in groceries, $20 in cut coupons, $12.00 in downloaded Ecoupons, and I got to the register..... and HEB declined my check! I was in shock. The floor guy came over, took a look at it, and suspended my transaction. I asked why it was declined. He said my bank had a Cenergy block on my check. I told him, there is NO way. it was a Temp Wells Fargo Check yes, but it had been printed in the HEB in the store! I have NO bad check writing history.... I have no TeleCheck file. I was irate. I started bawling in the store because I was so mortified. The store manager came down and told me he could give me a phone number to call.... I informed him I did not want a phone number, I wanted my groceries. So, needless to say, I left 2 carts full of groceries in the store and walked out. As soon as I got into the car, I called this Centergy company. They said the reason they declined my check was because of the check number series. REALLY? it has nothing to do with my check writing... just the check number. They also said the manager should have checked the info and overroad the decline. Really? so, the manager could have fixed the issue? So I called the HEB customer service number. Mainly pissed because they didn't even get my grocery coupons back. I started explaining my issue, and the customer service rep cut me off and said, "I understand all of this.... but what happened when you got to the store?" really? I was trying to explain that lady. She said there was nothing that she could do about the check... but I could speak to someone in checking department. I spoke to a rep there, they said, "no I do not see anything on file for you that would prevent you from writing checks" thanks for telling me something I already know. I was told someone would be calling me back from the store, as well as corporate. It has been over a week, I have heard NOTHING from anyone. I am so disappointed. I loved my HEB. I loved jamming to my headphones, spending 2 hours in the store doing my shopping... I was the biggest fan! BUT, I took my business and my check to Kroger.... Spent $300, and guess what, they took my check and it cleared Monday. Sorry HEB..... lost one of your biggest fans. read more
