It's crazy that this place has been opened for over a decade. This is the go to place for your asian groceries even if you aren't korean. They have shishito/thai/jalapeño peppers, typical generic AND tropical produce, and a dazzling array of fresh meat. This is also a good place to go and pick up fresh fish if you want to make some sushi on your own. Personally, the ice cream selection here is my favorite. I HIGHLY recommend getting the mochi ice cream or the Samango fish shaped ice cream. Enjoy shopping! I absolutely love H Mart! I came on a Saturday, and while it was very crowded, I was still able to make it through the entire store without any issues. The checkout line moved quickly, and the staff was friendly and helpful. One of my favorite parts was the pastry section near the exit--I couldn't resist buying a bunch to take home, and every single one was absolutely delicious. I don't live close by, so I can't visit often, but whenever I'm in the area, H Mart is always a must-stop. My only (lighthearted) complaint is that I can't always read the labels since many are in another language-- but i buy it anyway and have yet to be disapppinted LOL. read more

Loved our first trip to the H Mart in Carrollton! So much variety when it came to fruits, veggies, proteins, and snacks! Wanted to put everything in my cart even though I knew I couldn't. We went on a Saturday which I would recommend if you're not too great with crowds to try coming on a weekday instead. It was pretty crowded but we were still able to get to most of the aisles and get what we needed. Loved getting fresh sashimi, sushi rolls, and Korean sides. Hmart is of my go-to spots for Asian groceries and quick meals in the area. They've got a bunch of my favorite Korean side dishes and pre-marinated meats, which makes life way easier when I don't feel like cooking from scratch. It can get really packed on the weekends, so I usually try to go during the week. I actually found out they have a weekday happy hour deal where some of the fish is discounted, which is a nice little surprise. H Mart is my favorite grocery store to go to. They have all my favorite foods here. I'm a big fan of their premade curries and soups that you can buy and take home with you. I come here for the rice, fruits/vegetables, and frozen Asian food. The prices are reasonable, Though a little more expensive than some of the other Asian grocery store is. The variety of food is endless, the frozen and fresh food variety is huge its very well stocked neat and clean. They have a hot pot kit in 1 package in the refriderated section, so you throw it all in the pot no slicing anything. The food in the food court is outstanding! H Mart is incredible. We've spent hours here and not seen (or comprehended) most of the items available here. When traveling to Asian countries, we've always gravitated to grocery stores and outdoor markets to see how different the shopping experience is for local folks. From the size of H Mart, you would think they have all of the bases covered. It resembles an Asian shopping center because the front of the store (on the inside) is a row of separate shops and boutiques that are somewhat independent from H Mart. The one that appeals to me is the bakery. Pretty creative stuff. The H Mart produce section has a vast variety, as does the kimchee counter. The seafood section has a wide assortment of fresh fish (wild caught and farm grown) and shellfish on ice and in tanks. The meat department also has so many choices. I like the thinly sliced, well marbled meat for Korean barbeque or shabu shabu. Just saw that they have a poke counter. You bet I'll be checking that out soon. Lots of ready-to-eat options here, too. We picked up a breaded pork cutlet with a spicy bbq sauce and a crunchy crab sushi roll to go. The cutlet was a little dry, but tasty. The sushi roll was as good as any we've had at Benihana. Anyway, this description just scratches the surface of H Mart. Just remember to budget an hour or so to look around. read more

I am in love with H Mart! During this pandemic, an employee is camped out at the entrance to make sure all customers are wearing masks and they offer gloves, if desired. Oh, and a huge jug of hand sanitizer to use! I am a soup girl. I could seriously live off of soup. After a favorite Thai restaurant closed, I craved vegetarian Tom Yum soup but couldn't find any that compared. I discovered a Tom Yum base at H Mart and started making my own, thrown in a crockpot to cook all day. Their produce is top notch and affordable. I am a fan of mushrooms, and their variety of this is incredible! I buy a variety for my soup, along with their inexpensive seitan. So. Fricken. Good! I have the same review I posted in Google. I want to share it here as well so people can be careful about this particular clothing shop in the market. Warning: The rudest korean store in the entire market, #258 - the clothing store with no name towards the end near the restroom!!! The lady there doesn't know if she is the owner or not, she always rushed us. I bought 2 skirts before and the experience has been meh. Today, I tried on one skirt and it was too small even though she said one size fit all. I came out and said no I won't take it. She said exactly one word:"bye" to my face and rushed to hang back on the rack. Dude, I will never put my foot here (update 4/29/24 :"here" means the clothing shop, just want to be clear! ) Don't want to ruin your day then have your money elsewhere. The H Mart asked me to email them but the result is just noticing the manager (I wish they did) otherwise I don't think they can do anything about it. read more

What a cool place! Where we're from, there isn't anything like this but I imagine this is common place in a city with it larger Asian population. Excited to find some of our favorites and new things to try as we walked around the store. There is quite a range of fresh, prepared, and packaged goods. It was the most diverse selection of foods we've seen in a grocery store. There's even a small food court, bakery, and consumer goods like jewelry and souvenir stores inside. The produce section was particularly expansive. We didn't get many pictures of the variety because we only snapped a few shots before noticing the signs prohibiting photography. read more

We always enjoye shopping at H Mart. They have a huge selection of fruits and vegetables and they are all fresh. We cook a lot out our house and there has been a lot of items we could not find at local super marts so when we learned about H Mart we were surprised that they had all the items and we didn't have to run to several different locations. The employees are always helpful in finding the products in the store for us. Plus the prices at H Mart are always great. The store is very kept up and cleaned. We haven't eaten in their food court yet but its on our list. If you are looking for any type of Asian foods look no further H Mart has it all. I have a weird love for H Marts. If there's an Hmart in that city, I MUST visit it. It's what determines if I love the city or not. After moving to the DFW area, I come here at least once a week for my groceries and I must say, I like this Hmart a lot. ATL has more Korean grocery stores (Hmart, Zion, Mega & Assi) so we have options, but here it's Hmart or Zion, but it seems like everyone comes to Hmart since Zion is a little far out. It's a little smaller than the Duluth Hmart in Atlanta -- probably size-wise, it's similar to the Suwanee Hmart or Doraville.. maybe even smaller. Price-wise, I've noticed Korean products in DFW are a little more expensive than ATL, but it has everything you need. What I will say differentiates this Hmart than ATL Hmarts are that the food court is VERY good. With options like Tore Ore, a Chinese Dumpling/Dimsum place, and a Poke food stand near the fish section, this really blew me away! It was really unique to see options that my home Hmarts didn't have. Again, Hmart is controversial once it comes to quality of meats and product. They are definitely better than Kroger/Walmart and such, but it's pretty mediocre/low-tier for a Korean standard. This place is ALWAYS packed, along with the remainder of the plaza. It's definitely a good place to get all your Korean needs though, so I will leave it at 4 stars. I have yet to find an Hmart where I can truly give it 5 stars! read more
