I'll be honest, having to call a plumber is pretty much up there with requesting a colonoscopy. You know you have to, but somehow this is going to be an unpleasant experience. Having said that, I have now found my "go-to" plumbers. I needed to get a new soaker tub faucet installed and the builders thought, should we put an access panel on this tub...? Nah. The guys at H2O came out, cut the tile, installed the new faucet, and retiled the area, in less than 2 hours. And they did the work for less than literally every other estimate I got, sans tile work. (Which would have easily cost me another $300 bucks I am sure). It's not often that I find home repair folks that, 1. I enjoyed talking to, 2. Didn't take me to the cleaners on cost, and 3. When our problem originally came up, H2O Plumbing was quick to schedule a consultation and had Jose at our house in a few hours. It was great! I explained that the main line was clogged and that it needed to be cleared as waste was backing up into our toilet and bathtub. Jose removed our toilet and snaked our bathtub and toilet, leaving everything running and fixed. If this had been the end of our story, H2O plumbing would have a glowing 5 star review from me. When Jose left, we asked if we would be sent an invoice since our landlord needs it for tax purposes. Jose confirmed that we would be receiving one and informed us to give our contact information to the contact on Yelp. Jose had payment made to him directly, not to the business H2O plumbing. Fine. Whatever. But after asking several times by phone, text, and Yelp message, we still have not received an invoice for the work done on our house. Even this lack of follow up wouldn't prompt a 1 star review. Jose gave us clear instructions on how to prevent new clogs. We bought a hair trap for the shower drain, cut down on toilet paper usage. And barely used the bathroom after Jose visited because we went out of town 4 days after work was completed. We came home a week later (now 10 days after or main line had been supposedly cleared, the shower had been used maybe once and the toilet had been used a handful of times - there are two bathrooms on our property) and after we return, the toilet backs up immediately. Even better, the kitchen sink is now in on the action, indicating to me that the clog was not cleared, but instead pushed further down the waste line. I called and left a voice message asking if Jose could come back on Saturday. Nothing. I called again on Monday, the voicemail is full and cannot accept any new messages. Great. I text the business number, nothing. I message on Yelp. Nothing. My husband and my landlord call in the off-chance that they are just screening my number at this point. Nothing. We have been reaching out every day for 6 days now hoping that we could have some follow up on a job that was not done correctly, and it has been radio silence. No invoice. No follow up. And now I'm writing this while an entirely different plumber is clearing our line confirming that Jose did not use the correct equipment. I genuinely hate giving bad reviews. If you look at my profile, you will see that I strive to be as far from a Karen as possible. I have a leak from one of my bathrooms on the top floor. I called and left a message, mid morning / early afternoon and I didn't receive a call back until late afternoon / early evening. They said they could come between 12:30 & 1:30 p.m. I then received a text at 12:42 saying he had truck issues. Okay stuff happens. Then I get a call at 3:17 p.m. from the plumber saying he's running late, still having truck issues and can make it by 4:20 p.m. He arrives at 4:24 p.m. I can understand things happen. What takes the cake is after he checks the bathrooms and says they look okay. He says he'll have to cut into the ceiling and I'm like yes I figured as much. He then proceeds to tell me they'll call back tomorrow with an estimate. Well, how are you going to make an estimate if you don't cut into the ceiling and see where the leak is and what needs to be fixed or replaced? It was pretty obvious he didn't want to do anything today. So, to sum it up they showed up late and didn't do anything to fix my problem. To make matters worse I had canceled another plumber who was to come out between 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. because H20 Plumbing said they could come out earlier. So, they wasted my time and nothing got fixed. I DEFINITELY do not recommend them. read more

Might not sound like much, but I had 4 other companies that claim to snake drains for less, but none of them would give that to me in writing and claimed that it would need to be evaluated. I asked Jose to evaluate a larger problem with our kitchen drain and he suggested up grading our pipe to a 2" drain gave us an acceptable quote and then came with his team 2 days later and did the job. Fast, clean and affordable. H20 was the only company that gave me a direct quote through Yelp for the snaking our kitchen drain and it was a fair price. I saw lower prices advertised, but two other companies would not commit to the stated prices on their websites. Jose arrived the next morning and cleared the clog. We then asked Jose to evaluate the drain line because we have had multiple clogs over the past few years. He determined that the previous PVC pipe was only 1&1/4" and should be at least 1&1/2" or 2". He also showed us where the pipe sagged causing the previous clogs. Jose gave me a very good price to replace the entire drain line. He came with two helpers and finished the job in one day. This included closing and sealing the walls and ceiling where he had to open things up to replace the PVC. We are happy to recommend Jose and H20 Plumbing. read more

I do not recommend. We hired them to reseal a toilet as water was leaking causing an odor, mold around the base ring of the toilet, and for the hardwood floors to warp. Once they completed the work, we provided a good review on thumbtack. After several months, we noticed an odor, the black residue on the toilet ring, and the hardwoods warping again. We contacted them to come back out (which they agreed to). However, they cancelled twice on us. We then hired another plumber who verified that their work was not done properly and we were having the same issue. He took photos, wrote a summary, then fixed the issue properly. After my partner reached out to them to share this (with photos), they sent an incredibly inappropriate message back and encouraged us to "write reviews" and stated that "we were reaching out because we needed money". They didn't charge a diagnostic fee like many other companies do, and had everything on the truck to be able to do the repair once they gave me a quote. I was quoted a PRICE by this company to clear a drain - and that quote was based on the assumption that a very labor-intensive job had to be performed. As it turned out, they determined that level of effort was NOT NECESSARY after all. So a less difficult and faster drain-clearing job was performed to solve the same problem. But this company CHARGED ME the same price as was quoted for the bigger job, and I felt NO CHOICE - so I PAID. In any case, when THEY LEFT the drain seemed to work adequately, so although I felt I PAID TOO MUCH (but I always do), at least the problem seemed to be solved. UNFORTUNATELY... About eight weeks later the same DRAINAGE PROBLEM RECURRED. My opinion is that the first clog took more than two years to build up, so it's not possible that the same problem happened just two months later. So I think maybe the work was INCOMPLETE and the original clog was not fully cleared. But who's to say? I'm not a plumbing expert! They are the experts and they DISAGREE - and INSIST we must have clogged the drain again. They may be right, of course. They also said they REFUSE TO RETURN unless I PAY THEM AGAIN. So I will reluctantly HIRE ANOTHER COMPANY to clear the drain again and hopefully eliminate the clog completely. So... to be clear... this review is NOT intended to say they did a BAD JOB. They REALLY did not do a TERRIBLE JOB at all. They were professional. And I did not think the CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS AWFUL. On the contrary, they were fast and friendly. I'm simply recounting my overall experience to the best of my recollection. Although the work was perfectly adequate and probably done to the highest standard, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM, but that's only because I don't make recommendations at all, ever. If I did, I would.
