Every time I have ordered online there's always a problem. They either can't ring me up cus their system or they don't have my order ready till 20 min after their suggested pick up time. Today my girl and I decided to dine in for my BDay. We ordered our drinks as we picked out our rolls and appetizers and patiently waited. 2 parties came in after us... they had food and drinks soon after... my girl and I.? Still nothing but our empty glasses and table. We gave this place a sit down shot... there's plenty of other places out here for sushi. This is just not IT. FOR ME. It honestly makes me sad to write this because this used to be my go-to sushi spot. Unfortunately, today was a really disappointing experience. We were seated, placed our order, and received our drinks--but that's where the service stopped. We ended up waiting about an hour while watching other tables, including people who arrived after us, get served multiple rounds of sushi. Meanwhile, no one checked in on us, offered refills, or provided any updates on our order. It started to feel frustrating and honestly a bit embarrassing just sitting there being overlooked. After finishing our drinks and still not receiving any food or communication, we decided to ask for our check and cancel the order altogether. Went yesterday for dinner. Got the all you can eat and it was delicious! My favorites are the salmon carpaccio, sashimi salad orange blossom, baked lobster roll, and the dragon roll! Everything was delicious and beautiful. Service is friendly and prompt. I like the service call buttons they have. Very helpful. They did forget some of our orders, but when you get 3 rounds, it's not a big deal. Especially since we've never made it past 2 rounds. read more

What do you expect from all-you-can-eat sushi? Just think about it for a sec. Yeah, it's mid. As a big back, AYCE spots are very appealing, however, just because I am a big back does not mean I'll ingest anything and everything. While Koya wasn't the worst place I've been to, it's for sure not a spot I'd recommend or come back to. Prices are ok, service was average, but the food is just super mediocre. Nothing tasted fresh and we tried several rolls. I'm the person that usually over orders at an AYCE and immediately regrets it. The food was so blah that I ended up having to eat everyone's leftovers so we wouldn't get billed for it and boy it was not fun. I gave this place a try 3 times. All 3 times I left...unsatisfied. I wont likely return for the food. The food is mediocre at best. The green tea however was delightful, and the only reason I gave a second star. Last time I was here we got the lunch specials and all the rolls looked/tasted day old. Certainly not fresh. I figured thats probably where the "special" comes in. Fine. My recent visit I didnt even see a "special" menu. Maybe I just didnt look for it. It still didnt taste as fresh as I would like. My father is older and a creature of habit so we like to take him to Koya but will no longer be going there. If you're a table of 3 it's no issue, but if you're a big party expect to be there for at least 2 hours for 2 rounds of AYCE. They usually only have one server, and they rely heavily on to go orders which I believe utilizes all of their resources. It took at least 30 min just to get a couple of appetizers, and. when I say a couple it was 6 gyozas and 2 egg rolls, and at that time the place was essentially empty, Food is ok but service is lacking. read more

DISGUSTING! I don't recommend this place to anyone. The Fuji sushi rolls & crunch rolls that we ordered had a flavor as if something went bad. Tried this spot out for the AYCE and wanted to try a new sushi spot.. man was I disappointed. It was not busy at all for a Sunday, service was still slow to help. Let's just say we were also very happy to pay the left over food fee because the food was definitely not up to par. The taste of the food was unpleasant, rubbery, and some just inedible. The fried food was okay like the dumplings but definitely feels like that is prepackaged. Just overall unsatisfied with the experience and food. Prices are good but the food lacks flavour. Go to Aikan for ayce, we struggled to finish the food. We love sushi, eat it multiple times a month but this place was a struggle to eat. Not a bad place for all you can eat sushi. They have a lot of options and special rolls that are included. It was $35/person and you can order 3 rounds. The miso soup was great and I enjoyed the sushi I tried. The service was a little slow but everything else was great. A low key place with good food. read more

I've never gotten AYCE at this place because I'm not a fan of stuffing myself, but the food looks good. I've ordered the salmon teriyaki bento, and salmon sashimi and other sushi a la carte. It was very good. I drop by this place when I'm passing through the area on the 605 Freeway, and needing to charge my electric car on the EvGO chargers in the parking lot. It was not a great experience- To start they wiped down the table with a really nasty smelling rag- we were all gagging and grabbed a hand sanitizer and napkins to try and cut the smell- the germ freak in me, was really grossed out about them using a very nasty smelling towel to clean the table, then how clean is the kitchen? After that we seemed to have to wait forever just to order- this restaurant was not incredibly busy, but they did have a constast stream of online to-go orders. When we ordered- two in our party got the AYCE meals and the other two ordered bento boxes. The AYCE group got the first round of orders pretty quick- but our other people didn't get their meals until we were on round 2 of the AYCE sushi- This made my family incredibly hangry and ended up making this restaurant a no - go for the future. THE AYCE was alright, I just wish it had shrimp tempura and the fried tofu on it... The best roll was the ALASKA ROLL- that one was fabulous. read more

I decided to order a 2 "TooGoodTooGo" surprise bags. I wasn't expecting it but they gave me boba and it was surprisingly the higher quality the most sushi places. Their boba was actually really soft and the tea had good flavor. Their california roll also was very good, the rice is what I mostly decide if it's good or not, it left a good impression on me that their rice was really soft and tasty which made their california roll really enjoyable. I'm going to try this place again but I'll provide pictures of my mostly eatten food because I didn't think I was going to be this impressed. read more

They went above and beyond and did everything they could to help me, even after I realized that it was my mess up and let them know. This place was so disappointing and disgusting. First off sushi should NEVER be this color. It tasted frozen and not fresh. Not even crabmeat. It tasted old as if it was stored in fridge for a long time. Secondly, we ordered ramen and I can't make this up but it tasted like spaghetti noodles. I'm Italian and know my pasta by heart. The "noodles" were all stuck together and the broth tasted like bland water with salt. Please, please, please save yourself from coming here the food quality is disgusting. We had a good experience here! -White Tuna (escolar) was good the first round. Nice thick fish, buttery soft texture. Second round didn't taste as fresh, and was thin. I've never seen so much rice in a sushi burrito. -Koya SKIP. The sauces tend to be overpowering. Skip. -oyster/quail egg shooter- don't one shot it! Waaayy too salty. Tastes better if you scoop out the main parts. -seaweed salad- i dont understand why this comes over a bed of lettuce. It's already called seaweed salad without lettuce. -musi soup- a okay.
