This was an unexpected but very welcome find on our recent trip down to Galveston for the New Year!…read moreThis is a bit further south from the main strip of Galveston but close to the Galveston Island State Park. When we got here, it was hard to figure out parking but we essentially parked on the grassy area by the food truck itself. Ambiance is great if you like al fresco dining with nice beach breezes and ocean views! Definitely a weather dependent spot since there's no indoor dining, though there are some picnic tables with umbrellas. The owner (I assume Arney?) was super friendly and gave recommendations. I ended up woth the shrimp poboy and fries. I loved the fries, shoestring, well seasoned, crisp, perfect french fries for me and I'd honestly come back for them. The shrimp poboy was also great, nice big shrimp with a great crust that stuck to the shrimp. Really good remoulade and just all around great sandwich. I also tried some of my partner's tots and fish sandwich and both were also really good. We got a sweet tea to share as well and it was a proper Southern sweet tea aka diabetes in a cup but oh so good. In sum, we lucked out and found a great local food truck slinging out great food in a super unassuming spot. When most things were closed, this was our New Year holy grail!

My partner and I wanted fresh seafood of course and were very pleased with the quality, portion, and service we received on a gorgeous day to start 2026. The fish sandwich was substantial with a nicely buttered and slightly toasted bun, crisp fish fillets with whole fish, lettuce, tomato, and I believe a tartar sauce. I added tots for $1 more than standard fries and received a massive amount. They were perfectly crisp without being too oily or overcooked like I've encountered frequently at other restaurants. This is a food truck you walk up to (located within an RV park) but there are a few picnic tables and swings you can enjoy your food at. They have an extensive menu of other seafood and sandwich options plus fair favorites like funnel cake.

It's attached to the Chevron gas station so don't let that deter you from finding a spot either next to the gas station or the easy, cash, pawn, jewelry, and gun store The ceviche was delicious freshly made. You'll definitely wanna buy more than one bag of chips or get some crackers or tostadas to be able to make sure you can eat all that you want. We thought we'd grab it to go, but once he took out of the bag, end up eating a lobster roll and ceviche right there at the colored picnic tables The employees are friendly and kind appreciated them explaining the menu and recommending some different dishes Not cheap with the lobster rolls, but definitely worth it and would highly recommend and look forward to coming back It is a clean area. Parking is limited, but worth any sort of inconvenience. The Latin music playing in the color, brick tables and the bright colors of the food truck and to a fun ambience. I did come here in March over spring break so it was nice weather. I can imagine that this is the summertime. This could be difficult to be waiting for in the hot heat of Texas.

The dining area is pretty spacious and on New Year's eve there were just a few other guests also dining there. A few others came in grabbed to go orders and left. The women's bathroom was spotless. I forgot to get our servers name but she was great and it didn't take too long for us to get our food besides the patties being made fresh to order. The beef, chicken and spinach patties were all fresh, flaky, crispy, and well seasoned with the perfect amount of spice. I had brown stew chicken with rice/peas, cabbage/carrots and plantains and my niece had jerk chicken with white rice, plantains and greens. All the food was good except I felt they skimped on my chicken portion a little and my chicken could've used a little more spice. It was cooked perfectly though, very tender and even though the portion was smaller than I'm used to it was just the right amount for me to eat during lunch, just not enough to take home for later like I'm used to doing at other Caribbean spots. We ended up getting patties, plantains and jerk chicken to go. Also, the patties were fresh and piping hot but the rest of our food was warm, almost room temperature.
