Habibi Grill - Habibi mixed grill lots of food for two. - Halal Near Me - La Mirada, California

Freshest Mediterranean food I've had in a minute. Never had eggplant taste the way it does here. Habibi knows how to do it right!

After seeing all the great reviews, I was really excited to try this place out but I was EXTREMELY disappointed. I ordered the beef shawarma plate, beef shawarma fries, falafel halloumi cheeseburger, and got a free side of fries with their check in. The order took about 25 minutes but while waiting for my food, I saw that the cook had his mask on his chin and was talking to the other workers, over the food. That's the same thing as not wearing a mask at all. For the food, they forgot the tahini sauce for the beef shawarma plate. I thought that was the reason why the beef and rice were both super dry. But when I tried the beef shawarma fries (drenched with the sauce), I found out that the beef is just dry in general. Maybe a bad batch idk but I wouldn't eat here again. The best thing from this entire meal was the free fries lol yikes read more

TLDR; -Super delicious food and friendly service! -Call in your order if you don't want to wait; you'll get a text when your order is ready! -Their chicken shawerma plate, garlic sauce, hummus = BOMB I was in the La Mirada area and saw that Habibi Grill had just opened up recently (thanks Yelp!). After a quick look at their menu, I called in my order for take out. The woman on the phone was super friendly! I was told the wait would be about 20 minutes, but I arrived a little earlier to pay just because I was already in the area. The woman at the front (likely the one who took my order) was super nice and helpful! I sat inside the restaurant to wait for my order. I actually received a text letting me know my order was ready, which would've been convenient if I wasn't already inside. The restaurant itself is super clean and quite spacious! With COVID, they had two big bottles of hand sanitizer by the cash register and social distance signs everywhere. I ordered the Chicken Shawerma Plate. Plates come with two sides and a pita bread. I picked hummus and a house salad for my two sides. The chicken came smothered with the signature delicious garlic sauce. (I asked for more on the side as well). The hummus was SO GOOD. The serving was quite filling for one person as well, and I was HUNGRY. All in all - I'll definitely come back! I saved my check-in deal (free fries) for when I bring all my friends here to try out the food ;) HIGHLY RECOMMEND YALL! read more

Wow I was amazed at the quality and prices of the food here. We ordered the shawarma fries and the chicken plate with salad - both of them were extremely flavorful, cooked perfectly and well seasoned! This place is definitely a hidden gem in a very unassuming strip mall. Also, the owner incredibly courteous and accommodating - his demeanor and enthusiasm for food definitely made that rainy day a little brighter. Will definitely come back to try some of their other options!! read more

Omg I don't even know where to start. They been open less than a month, and I'm so glad I found them. First I had a pleasant conversation with the Cashier Daniah, she was very friendly and helpful, and showed me the menu. She helped to choice my chicken kofta pita sandwich. First time I've tried chicken kofta ... love it. They have kibbeh, I could not believe it, so I had order, so delicious. If you check in you get free fries . I also talked to the two cooks... very friendly guys too. I'll be definitely going back soon Thank you so much all you guys I hope your business do well and you guys able to open more places read more

Terrific food and a friendly environment thanks to Julie. The food was very fresh and tasty. Five stars well deserved.

I stopped by in person and placed a take-out order for my family for dinner that ended up totaling $90+. I ordered three entrées and three side items (falafel, fries and grape leaves). I appreciated the free fountain drink for checking in on Yelp as I waited. We were taken care of by the owner, who had excellent customer service skills; very patient with me as I made my choices and helpful as I asked questions about some of the items on the menu. He also happen to be the only person working at the time so he served as the cook as well. I do have a distinct piece of feedback that is quite unique, but really stood out to me. I am wondering what type of oil they use for their food, being that much of the food is oil based in so much as visible oil floating on top of the hummus, etc. The oil had a very distinct, overpowering, smell and taste to the point where it actually seemed stale, and if not, it seemed to be very cheap seed oil like canola, or some thing. As strange as this sounds, it really shaped my overall opinion on the food because the yucky oil taste dominated the flavor of almost all of the food items. I have had the pleasure of enjoying very high-quality oil from Italy, Greece and other places around the world so I also recognize the difference and emphasize the importance of using good oil to cook with. To make matters more difficult, I saved some of my leftovers in the fridge and the next day when I took it out, the oil coagulated in a way that I have never seen happen with leftovers before. As much as I appreciated the great customer service and the food quality, I just really couldn't get past the oil situation . read more

Edit update to a 5 due to owners response... The food was pretty tasty and the customer service was pretty good. My usual Mediterranean food spot that I go to is called Georgies which I rate 5 stars... maybe Georgies set the bar very high. Compared to Georgies this place gave very little chicken, like literally a 3rd of what georgies gives. Second for the same plate it was an extra 5 dollars. Last the salad was trash, it's what I expect from a small pizza shop. Look at Georgies salad and you can easily see the difference. This place has a lot of potential to go head to head with Georgies if it made some improvements. Georgies is in Covina FYI. read more

This place has amazing food and such a great customer service. The owner was so friendly! He even told us the back story for the famous "humus and shawarma" that was created by his wife. The food was delicious and highly recommend! We will definitely be coming again. read more

Highly recommend this restaurant! I went here tonight with my boyfriend. With so many great menu options, we were having trouble deciding what to order. Carlos was working behind the register & was happy to offer us some recommendations. Per his suggestion, I got the Chicken Tawook Plate with hummus & tabbouleh. My boyfriend got the Beef Shawarma Plate & some falafel & everything was delicious! The food was very fresh and well seasoned. Between the high quality of the food & the exceptional service provided by Carlos, we will definitely be back in the future. read more

Came to Habibi Grill on a Monday afternoon, place was quiet and perfect to catch up with some friends. I ordered the Chicken Tawook plate, and my friends ordered the Falafel Burger, lentil soup, and Habibi fries. The chicken tawook plate came with rice, chicken kabob bites/roasted veggies in a creamy sauce, hummus, and a house salad. Everything was so delicious and you could tell that the food was made fresh once ordered. The owner was SO sweet and hospitable, will definitely be coming back to dine in and also takeout! read more

Saw the reviews and I had to try this place out. I was happy to find out, they are not fake reviews! Super good food here! Owner is super nice, I have came two times already. Definitely my new local spot to go to! Try the combo shawarma plate! read more

This is insane for this place to have 4.7 star rating. Food was blend and very small amount of meat. For 19 dollar plate I'm expecting a good amount of food. Place was empty and it did take quite a while to get my food. The worker wasn't the friendliest. Inside there was a workout bench by the register. Was confused if I'm at a restaurant or a gym. Definitely won't come back... read more

Omg!!! I have been sleeping on this place. I work in the same plaza and never thought to eat here but one day I was craving something healthy so I ordered the Sheesh Tawook plate after looking at yelp reviews and it is soooo yummy . The salad is super vinegar-y and sour the hummus is so fresh and tangy, the chicken is nice and smoky 10/10 recommend. The plate is big enough to share for two people I only ate half of my rice and veggies and chicken. I ate half of the pita bread. And now I have leftover hummus as a snack for the week. read more
