First time at this place based on the Yelp reviews! What a nightmare!! Ordered the grape leaves and shish kabab plate. I've seen better and fresher grape leaves at Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods. They were tasteless and appeared to be from a can and just warmed up!! The shish kabab plate was something that I wouldn't serve my dog let alone a family member. The kabab were merely warmed up and covered with sumac! The salad tasted like it was from last week! I don't know how this establishment is over 4 Stars! Go and learn from places like Zankou Chicken, Sahara Falafel, and Panini Kabob Grill! Unfortunately I am throwing the entire meal away. That's the shameful part! Had a group of ten meet for pre-theater dinner. The owner was willing to arrange a table and reserve it for us. We agreed on pre- ordering our meals before our arrival. We finally made it here and we ordered the half and half shawarma with hummus and tabbouleh. It was fresh and very flavorful and a good portion amount for the price. The service was excellent! Carlos our server made a few recommendation since it was our first time here. Among those was the knafeh plate, a delicious dessert with sweet and salty flavors. Delicious food, good value, clean, and friendly. It can be hard to find good vegan options so my girlfriend and I were excited to try Habibi Grill. Upon arrival the owner greeted us, offered to answer any questions and gave us some time to look over the menu. We ordered the Habibi grill plate, with hummus and house salad, and the falafel wrap. The grill plate was absolutely massive, I could only eat about a third of it. The plate includes some pita bread and two sides. Every single item on the plate was absolutely delicious and I can't wait to go eat my leftovers. The house salad was simple and refreshing featuring a lemon dressing. I would highly recommend trying the hummus no matter what you decide to get here. Overall one of the best dining experiences I've had in months. I will be back. read more

Went yesterday. First time ordering frim here. Ordered 2 plates and was asked which sides, so we ordered from the side orders section. I'm legally blind so I didn't notice the sides are listed above the plates section. My kid didn't notice either, and they can see fine, lol. We ordered the from the side order section on the right. There was an additional charge. +1.50 for each side. There was one large group already there. I'm assuming they were friends or family since they kept bringing them dishes that looked delicious. One person even said we are already full. Our food took quite a while to get. I didn't look at the time cause we weren't in a rush. Two employees apologized for the long wait. Three out of 4 of us enjoyed the food. I enjoyed the falafel plate. Not blown away but good. On our hour drive home, my stomach turned, and I had to find a restroom quick. My wife and I are fairly new to La Mirada/Whittier community and have been trying several food spots in the area. We typically come to this shopping center Tuesdays and Thursdays to bring our daughter to Kumon. So we use this hour to grab a bite. Today we decided to try Habibi Grill. My wife loves Mediterranean food, but as for myself I was a little hesitant because I rarely eat Mediterranean food and it's not my go to food. Restaurant was really clean, organized and had a nice setting to dine in. The older gentleman was very attentive, excited to share and recommend what his favorite dishes were. My wife and I both love when the person taking your order is helpful, specially when you are new to a restaurant. My wife had the Shawerma Fries with beef, and I had the half and half Shawerma plate. Both dishes were very tasty and filling. Portion was a good, and the house salad and humus added that extra kick pf taste to the dish. Food was freshly cooked, both the chicken and meat were cooked perfectly! Overall a great a experience, definitely recommend this place! To owners: thank your for your enthusiasm to make sure our experience was nothing but great! We also appreciate the desert!! The staff here are very friendly and quick. My family wanted something healthy and quick for Christmas Eve and we found this place. It's always a plus when they have a website where you can order online for pick up. No only that, they also have curbside pick-up which was very convenient and fast. I called when I arrived and someone brought my order instantly. He was friendly too. The food was delicious. Simple but fresh and had so much flavor in everything. We ordered chicken and beef shawarma and an assortment of kebabs. Everything was fresh and cooked well, nothing over-cooked or dry which happens often with kebabs unfortunately. The beef was seasoned very well, my favorite was the beef kofta. The rice was simple and flavorful too which was a nice pair to the protein. All the sides were amazing too. We ordered hummus, baba ganoush, and tabouleh on the side. They all were tasty but the standout was the tabouleh. It was so fresh and had a very nice citrus finish. We also got the fries. Pretty standard fries, seasoning on the fries were good. I'd like to try the falafel next time! I would recommend this place because of their flavors and fast service. Came in with my husband to grab a quick bite to eat before a movie. We were instantly greeted warmly by the owner and his family. While others have indicated that there's a bit of a wait, it's all worth it. They cook the food right after ordering, resulting in delicious, fresh, and warm food. Some other places have the items at the ready but cold, and quite frankly tasteless or too salty. At Habibi, they cook it like you are guests at their home. We're happy to have found this place for our middle eastern cuisine. While we only had the chicken shawarmas and falafel, we will be coming back soon for the plates (and Habibi burger!) read more

We stayed away for way too long. This place is truly a diamond in the rough. We first visited here last July by chance...and we were not disappointed. A small family owned business. We went as a group of 6 before a show at the La Mirada theater, walking distance. We had reservations and there was only another party of 2 present, but the Grill seemed overwhelmed. They turned away another couple who wanted to order food before the show as well (about an hour plus out.) I found this surprising as they based on the decor and location (strip mall), they come across as fast-casual type place. The food. I found the food quite salty. Prices were sit-down restaurant prices for average food served in a fast food ambience. The family was very nice, said they made things "to order", but I think they need to do more pre-prepping as to not turn away business. Also, for the wait, it was just average food. Heavy on the olives, garbanzos, fries , etc, but lacking the light counter-point of veggies and salad or garnish. Heavy. Update 8/7/24: Thank you to the manager reaching out. The day of our visit was 6/28/24. I did call to tell them we were a party of 6 coming in for the play. The other party that was turned away was because the help said they had a lot of to-go orders and "made things to order" and didn't feel they could accommodate them in time (45 minute wait).
