The food was really good. We had the lamb Mandy, although you have to order the Mandy rice as a side if you want that. We also had the falafel, lamb and beef tikka and with the bechamel pasta. We had a great dinner at Habibi Grill. It was confusing when we entered, I figured you would order at the counter and find a seat instead we had a server. I ordered the shish tawook with lentil soup, yellow rice and a side of hummus while husband got the mix grilled platter (2 skewers- lamb tikka and beef tikka) with lamb soup, mandy rice and a side of falafel. All platters are served with rice, soup of the day and one side. I wasn't thrilled about paying $2.99 for a side of tzatziki sauce, I wish I could have subbed it for my soup. We didn't have to wait too long for our food; however, a few dishes take longer since they are cooked on a charcoal grill. The food was great but we ordered way too much. We ordered the shish tawook which is basically a chicken pieces and rice (the most amazing rice and chicken I have ever had). It comes with the soup of the day and a side. We chose the lentil soup and chicken. The chicken soup was sooo good! My favorite out of the two. As sides we had the sambosa and hummus. Everything was amazing and the owner offered dessert for us to try and we had the fresh kunafa which blew my mind!!! What an amazing dessert. If you love cheese and don't like strong sweets, then this is the one for you. I highly recommend this place. The only bad thing is that is is very cold in there and it is a new place so the server was training and a little lost. Be patient and you will have the best food ever. read more

Well hello there Habibi Grill, where you been all my life? ;) I only wish this place was in the area when I was attending NC State. My friends and I were in the mood for some spicy Middle Eastern fare and were about to head to Kabobi when one of them mentioned this spot. So we called an audible and scored a touchdown. Don't you just love when that happens? With about 8 of us there I think we pretty much tried the whole menu. Everything was tasty and delectable too, which is rare. The favorites were the Chicken Mendy, Shish Tawook, and Lamb Kebabs. We did ask for everything to be made spicy, but that is the the one area they fell short on. Next time I'm going to see if they can seriously take it up a couple notches. Our extremely nice waitress did hook us up with some Texas Pete to save the day. The restaurant was clean and the staff is awesome. Parking is a bit challenging though as the lot is oddly positioned. The waitress was handling our table of 8 plus like four other tables concurrently. And she made countless attempts to check-in if the patrons needed anything at every turn. Now that is how you do it! Overall, Habibi Grill is a winner like Kevin Keatts. So go on...eat there and be a winner too! read more

This place has the BEST KNAFEH in the Triangle!!! Took them 15-20 minutes to make it FRESH! SO excited about this find! What a lovely family-owned business. The owners are Palestinian, and they really pour the flavors of the Middle East into and all their dishes. The kababs were juicy and mouth-watering. I had both the chicken and beef kababs. I am not big on beef kababs, but I decided to give their's a shot, and was VERY impressed! They also give delicious sauce (forgot what it's called) to go with it. For the kabab platters, you get a soup and a side. The lamb soup is phenomenal here! I got the lentil soup, and that could have been a bit more flavorful. The seasoned fries were delicious as well. Their hummus is definitely home made and you can taste that! Their Baba Ghanouj was very good, too. The whole meal with the soup and side was $12-13! I had enough left for a full second meal. They have great inside and covered outside seating! Also bonus: they have a handicap friendly ramp in the front! Loved this place and will definitely be bringing family back for kababs and knafeh! read more

Not too far from the NCSU veterinary hospital, I went there, because I really wanted Kebab. Glad I ended up there (thanks to Yelp!) Walked in, was greeted by the owner and ended up taking a seat on the patio. Owner cane out, chatted with me about the food, made a couple of suggestions that I gladly took and then went on to cook my food. Does it really get any better? A truly magical grill, one of very few places in the Triangle where you can get high-quality meat dishes without spending a lot of money. The service is warm and hospitable despite the heroically long hours they put in. The ambience is family cafeteria style and can be noisy on the weekends, which I find cute and charming, though it might not be for everyone. We chose this restaurant based on great reviews but unfortunately were disappointed. The restaurant has nice ambiance but food wasn't that good. I had chicken kofta and it was the driest kofta I have ever eaten. Besides being extremely dry it lacked flavor and was accompanied only with few older looking pieces of tomato and wilted lettuce. The garlic sauce was very thick and lacked garlic flavor. Hummus was average but hadn't been blended completely because I had several chickpea pieces. Visiting family in town and seen they had recently opened and wanted to give them a try. First thing you notice is the customer service as you enter the restaurant. The owner greeted you with a big smile and you could tell he was happy to see you. Very welcoming. The food is fresh and made to order. It takes a little longer to get to the table but fresh always does. Most of the meets are smoked and sides were tasty. All meals come with rice, side and soup. Restaurant is bright and clean. Sadly, this establishment is uneducated in the art of running a restaurant. As the negative reviews reflect, the stress you encounter not only ordering (they will tell you it takes too long to make or the grill "isn't working") but the countless time it takes to get your food. I felt like I was in an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm - watching everyone who came in later than us get their food and you are like "what?". I'm a huge Mediterranean food fan and go out of my way to find restaurants that get everything right. Until today I've not found a Mediterranean restaurant in or around Raleigh that checked all the boxes. There's another Mediterranean restaurant literally around the corner on the other side of the street that's a train wreck. Average food orders in correct dirty facility won't go back. There's another one nearby with a grocery store that has great food and the service is usually pretty good but often they leave something out of the order. Nothing more disappointing than getting home and realizing you don't have grape leaves. But Habibi Grill did not disappoint! I ordered lamb kebabs because they're generally a very good test of the restaurants overall capabilities. These were fantastic. I also ordered hummus and grape leaves for the same reason. Both were excellent. I prefer my grape leaves to be a little fatter but I'm not going to complain. My meal with tax without a drink was over $15 but it was worth it and I'll be back. A really good place for people who eat bland food!!! We ordered lamb mendi($16.99) . They charged extra for rice ! [ Mandi is a rice based dish with lamb/ mutton/ chicken. Without rice there is no mandi ! So you cannot charge separate for rice.] Mandi is served with a spicy sauce called Shattah but here they don't. On asking they got some store bought sauce which was not spicy n hot. We were served almost cold bland oats soup with shredded lamb pieces here n there. Lamb has a strong flavor and smell, so if its not cooked well with good spices then the lamb after taste in your mouth will make you throw up later. Hummus was not fresh ( sure it was from a can). Our curiously about the new Habibi Grill began to clear as soon as we walked in the door. The owner/chef greeted us, explained the menu, and told us how he cooked using wood and charcoal. Table for two please! We ordered the mix grill that came with two kabobs, soup, rice, pita, and a side. Everything was delicious and at $13.99 a bargain! The chicken Shish Tawook was smoky and juicy.
