I've tried Habibi's Birria once before when I was on keto. I ordered the keto taco to go, and when I got home it was sitting in a clear plastic container that had collected a lot of grease. It still tasted good and was huge compared to a regular taco, which explains the higher price, but I just wish it wasn't so greasy. I've had other keto tacos made with cheese and they were never this oily. This time I decided to give them another try now that I'm off keto and went in for Taco Tuesday. I ordered four tacos... chicken, beef, beef pastor, and shrimp. The tacos are on the smaller side, but the tortillas have a nice orange color and great flavor. My favorites were the shrimp and the beef pastor. The chicken and regular beef could use a little more seasoning. Their orange salsa is amazing, while the green salsa tastes like a typical salsa verde. For Taco Tuesday, the tacos are $2.50 each, which is a solid deal. They also have other proteins I want to try next time, like gyro, that aren't part of the Tuesday special. The service here is always friendly and quick, and the best part is it's just around the corner from my house. I'll definitely be back for more tacos.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Located off the Main Street, parking in the neighborhood. Was not busy at all. Ordered through the automated kiosk. There are about 8 tables inside cafeteria style. One employee working. she was friendly and service was quick. Quesobirria Tacos 4/5: generous on the meat, crispy on the outside with a good amount of cheese. I added more white onions to mine then dunked it into the consome. Very good. Birria Tacos 4/5: generous on the meat, crispy on the outside, very flavorful, even more so when dunking it into the consome. Overall, great spot for Birria. I saw they also have some Mediterranean dishes, but have not tried those options yet. Recommended spot.

I really wanted to like this place since it's in our neighborhood, but the experience was pretty frustrating. We came in around 2:30 on a Saturday and the restaurant wasn't busy, just a few tables with customers. The first thing I noticed was the ordering setup: two kiosks and a completely empty counter. Since it was my first time there, I had a couple of questions about the menu, but there was literally nobody around to ask. I waited about five minutes hoping someone would show up, but no luck. Eventually, I just used the kiosk, which took another five minutes because the substitutions I wanted weren't even listed. About ten minutes later the food came out and this was actually the very first time I saw an employee. She dropped off the plates without saying a word and then disappeared. The food itself was solid though. I had the tacos and my friend got a burrito, both really tasty. But after we finished eating, it was the same story: no staff anywhere. I actually had to go behind the counter myself just to grab a to-go box. What stung a little was that I had already tipped at the kiosk, not realizing there would be zero service. On the positive side, the restaurant was clean and the food was genuinely good. But with service this nonexistent, it's hard to want to come back. If they had even a little customer interaction, this place could be great.

Tried Habibis Birria for some Halal Mexican food. It definitely did not disappoint! My group really enjoyed the birria. The birria and consome were very flavorful. I specifically ordered the birria mulita. Although it doesn't come with consume, it tasted good with or without it (I took some from other members of my party LOL). The beef al pastor really blew me away. I honestly enjoyed it more than any pork Al pastor I've tried. The hummus and pita was also good and was a nice little snack to have with our tacos and mulita. Their horchata also satisfied my craving! Compared to my fave Birria spot, the price is definitely higher and the tacos are not as stuffed, but considering it's all halal, I think it's a great choice! Service is good and food is great!

We love this place! We pass by it all the time. A friend said it's her favorite place so we tried it during taco Tuesday! Birria is so good but our favorite was the asada! Full of flavor, thick chunks. Burrito are delicious! Beans and rice were packed with flavor. We ordered and by the time we drove in, order was ready- fresh and hot. Quick service & great customer service! Restaurants was clean and welcoming. Street parking. We will be back! And will recommend to others!

Love the fusion food. Service was awesome and the food was delicious. Plenty of tables and space for groups, family, etc. very happy to have found this place. Cant wait to try more menu options. Highly recommend.

I used to love Habibis Birria when they were located inside a gas station on Jackson-it was sooo convenient! But I honestly havent been to any other since they closed down and the other one in Hayward closes so early :( Sooo with that said, it's been years since I've had Habibis Birria but decided we were craving quesabirrias this weekend and convinced my husband we gotta do Habibis. One bite in and I am so mad at myself for having gone this long! The birria is sooo flavorful and perfect textured with perfect amount of filling and cheese. I actually don't need salsa with these, but their salsas are really good anyways. The consomme here is perfect as well-sooo flavorful and the perfect color/texture!

This review is long overdue! We live in San Pablo and would travel here every time we are craving quesabirrias! We first heard about Habibi's when it was located in a gas station during COVID. We never got the chance to try them back then, but I'm glad they were doing well enough to open two brick and mortors! During our first visit, we dined in. The place is spacious and clean. The employee who was present, I assume is the owner or manager (we've seen him there every time we come by), was very friendly! They offer complimentary chips and salsa when dining in, which we appreciated. The main reason why we like coming here is because they offer quesatacos, which can be made with different protein, besides birria. My boyfriend cannot eat beef due to religious reasons and it's hard finding a place that offers quesatacos on the menu. The quesabirrias are also very filling and come as a 3pc combo, which includes consome! They're both delicious!

Not many places serve chicken queso tacos, but Habibi's does--and they're delicious. I've been coming here for about a year, and the food is always consistently good. I especially enjoy their homemade salsa, and the service has always been friendly.

3.5 stars Mexi-Terranean is an unexpected fusion of Mexican and Mediterranean cuisines, and you'll find both types of dishes at Habibi's Birria! I started with a birria taco, made of shredded braised beef served on two grilled corn tortillas, topped with onions and cilantro, and served with sliced radish, lime, and two salsas. On the Mediterranean side of the menu, the Veggie Plate came with four different mezzes including three crispy falafels, creamy baba ghanoush, a salty yogurt cucumber salad, and a very sour tabbouleh (chopped parsley, tomatoes, onions). Interestingly, the mezzes had a stronger flavor profile than more traditional versions, but everything went nicely with the familiar warm, thin, chewy pita bread on the side. Overall, the quality, freshness, and flavors of the food here were just average, but the prices were reasonable and the service was quick and friendly.

I've seen this pop up on social media quite often so have been wanting to try it and finally made it in. I'll start by saying this is probably not the most fair review of a place that has birria in it's name, since im a vegetarian, hah! But I did come with someone who tried the birria tacos...so take that for what its worth. Falafel wrap - the wrap was underwhelming. I didnt take the best picture but the filing in the wrap wasn't very satisfying. Have definitely had better. Wouldn't order this again. Fries- again, underwhelming. Granted I ordered the meat on the side, so maybe it would have been better with the meat mixed in, but again vegetarian. Would skip this too. I'm just used to have more toppings on these kind of fries. And the cheese wasn't melted. Quesabirrias - the person who did eat the birria tacos enjoyed them. Gave them a 4/5. So order the birria! The salsas were super tasty. I loove salsa, so thats definitely a win for me. The green one is super flavorful and the orange one, a little spicier. But I could eat them at ever meal. Service You order at the front, as soon as you walk in. You can order at the register or at the kiosk. Was empty when we came in, so service was super quick. And staff was friendly. I would come back, and probably try the burrito though.

Delicious queso birria taco with consome. I enjoyed the crunch of the tortilla, the cheese, and the tender beef. Very drippy (as expected) but not greasy at all.

Our first visit was a 5 star experience with goat birria plate, birria plate, and the chicken and shrimp taco Tuesday special. Everything was on point that we came back for takeout just a few weeks later. The goat birria was still delicious and the birria tacos were great but the shrimp in the Taco Tuesday taco was so tiny (1/5 of the size of the orignial) that it reminded me more of shrimp salad sized shrimps. Our third visit, we were told after we ordered that they were out of the goat birria so we tried the Mediterranean side with the mix plate. Nice that their mediterranean side is as good as their Mexican side. Our most recent visit was more of a 3 star as we noticed that the offerings for Taco Tuesday no longer has the shrimp which given the size of them last time, probably for the best. Was disappointed that their goat birria is no longer offered daily, so we tried the birria ramen. Didn't realize the ramen was Tapacio ramen similar to Cup O Noodle so was thirsty all night. Over four visits, it's a bit of a hit or miss at this point so more of a 3 1/2 star overall now especially if the goat birria is not available daily now but bumping up to 4 since their employees are friendly.and their birria tacos are still worth coming in for.

My doubts were completely unfounded. There was plenty of street parking and once you entered the restaurant, the atmosphere was extremely welcoming. The staff was the most attentive I have experienced with our group being checked on several times, but not enough to feel intrusive. The salsas provided were clearly home made and each had a unique and flavorful taste. The carne asada super burrito I ordered was near perfection. The tortilla was soft and fluffy, and the beef was cooked in such a way that the exterior had a satisfying crunch while still being tender and juicy on the inside. I loved the fact they used real avocado in their burritos, and the proportion of rice, cheese, and sour cream was spot on. I am excited to go back and try some of the other items on their menu. The food was incredible and I would highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves authentic Mexican food!
