I visited here last week after seeing this place featured in a Tik Tok video. The guy in the video had several menu items that made my mouth water. I got the Queso Birria combo. It was delicious. This was my first time having it. Very generous portion size. The lady serving me helped me picked this. I made sure that I was getting this instead of tacos. The food was well seasoned, made to order and served hot. I took my for home and it was still hot when I got home. I will definitely be coming here again. I can't wait to try their tacos and nachos. The truck is located conveniently located off Lewelling blvd. across from San Lorenzo High School. Been here before and recall it being decent but this was unfortunately not the case yesterday when both my husband and I ordered the shrimp tacos. See pic-- the tortillas were just meh, the shrimp were limp, not grilled sad looking flavorless things with the accompaniment ie. diced onions and peppers served separately wrapped in plastic. Was pretty impressed with this place. Loved the variety they offered and the fact that they had lengua which a lot of places often don't. They mixed the contents of the burritos pretty well, but for mine (grilled steak burrito), the meat was suuuuper salty... Don't know if I just got unlucky, but I did not like it. One other thing I don't really like is how expensive this place is. They don't take credit cards btw -- it's only cash, Venmo, or I think Zelle. We had a group of firefighters order after us and they were dumbfounded by how much the order was. They had ordered just a plate of meat that came out to be over $42. You would think that because this place is not an actual building for a restaurant (it's a food truck) and the fact that they don't take card, the prices would be more reasonably affordable, but not this place. The quality is good though, so that may make it up for some people. I found them on Instagram and decided to stop by on a Friday night. I arrived at about 9:15 p.m. and waited approximately 10 minutes for my burrito. They have a huge truck and outdoor seating available, making it a cool spot for a nice night out or a lunch date. I got the super burrito with shrimp and steak. It was $29, but worth it. They accept cash, Venmo, and Zelle only. When I got home, I cut the burrito in half--no way was I eating the whole thing in one sitting. The steak was flavorful. They used refried beans, which aren't my favorite in a burrito, but it was still good. Next time, I'll ask for whole or black beans. The shrimp was seasoned well, too. The next day, I threw the other half in the oven for about 20 minutes, and it was just as good as the day I bought it. Tacos La Calle is a solid taco spot. I love that it's super close to my house, so it super convenient for takeout. Obvs can't let my tacos get cold and soggy before I get home! My fave item here is the quesabirria. It is super flavorful and cheesy, and I love the corn tortilla. Next would be the lengua tacos. Lengua tacos are my faveee. But I also love al pastor tacos, and I couldn't remember which ones tasted good here. Well it's def the lengua tacos! The meat is super tender and the flavors end up working out well. The salsas here aren't my fave since they taste a bit too tart, but the red one has a nice smoky flavor. The flavor of the al pastor here is not as good as the ones at tacos el gordo, so I'd stick with the lengua. I also got the carne asada fries this time, which were not bad. Food 3/5 I suddenly wanted to try quesabirria tacos for at least a week now. I found this place in DoorDash. I was out and about and decided to place a pickup order. For me the quesabirria tacos were just ok. The meat was tender and juicy but the flavor wasn't present. The combo came with chips. They were store bought and my particular bag wasn't fresh. Service 5/5 Service was superb!! The man working the window was exceptionally pleasant and provided high quality service. When my order was ready he called my name. He then asked if I wanted the jalapeños and carrots, if I wanted chips. He asked about salsa and which kind. And finished with is there anything else I can get you. No listed prices but regular tacos seem to be around 4 bucks and burritos around 12. They were out of a lot of things so that was disappointing. Parking lot can get pretty cramped but people are always leaving. The little lot is actually pretty cute though with lots of picnic tables and umbrellas, cornhole, and a strapped security guard posted up. Tacos: Get. Steak, Lengua, and Shrimp were all good. Tripas was very dry and leathery so not a fan of that. I wish I could have tried the al pastor or fish but they ran out... It comes with a chip and some potatoes on the side so that's... fun I guess. I would say three is enough to fill up a normal person but four if you're really hungry. My friend got the super burrito and holy... this thing is huge like I swear 15 inches huge. Another negative is its right by a school and a bunch of kids just go and ruin the line for ordering and pick up, not worth the hassle at lunch. read more

I have tried many a taco food truck in my time and have a big opinion on what I like and dislike, so let me share MY experience for the first time trying this place. We showed up after 9 on a weekday, close to their closing time. Could be hit or miss if you know what I mean. The menu has a lot of variety, lots of your very common items, but what to my attention was they have pastor on the trompo, heck yes!! IYKYK. AND, BIG points for having piña as well. Ok, so what did I order.... A super taco with asada. Asada has a very nice flavor. It was tender and not grisly. Add some more points. I ordered a regular pastor taco with pineapple. Delicious flavor and not dried out. Real important to me. Last item ordered ( we read and we don't judge) was a cheese quesadilla. Homemade corn tortilla and a nice thick layer of salty fresh cheese. Add another point. And size wise, it was enough to share, which I did. But let's also talk about how we took out food to go and it wasn't soggy and the tortillas didn't fall apart as I was shoving the taco into my mouth. More bonus points, their salsas were fire and add more points for it being packaged and sealed. I appreciate a detail. Oh and, let's also mention their seating. Complete with several benches and covered for shade. Prices were good, I believe average by comparison. Portions are great and great for sharing. Quick Service, friendly staff, tasty food and nice outdoor space! We had a big group of almost 30 ppl. The staff took our order quickly and the food came out steadily. I was worried that we would have to wait a long time but it was quick. The lengua taco was perfect super juicy and seasoned well. I was also glad I chose the homemade tortilla option. You get one tortilla for homemade and two for premade. It also came with a crunchy tortilla and roasted potato. Added a nice touch. The steak fries come with a can of soda for $15. You can pick shredded cheese or nacho. We went with nacho. It was a good choice. The steak wasn't dry and also seasoned well. Everything came with packages green and red salsa, pickled jalepenos and carrots. Will be back to try the 15" burrito and Birria Ramen. My friend had the ramen and said it was really good and worth trying. I'm excited for our group to have another place to add to the rotation! The space is well thought out and clean. Thinking about it makes me want to buy from them again. It was just very inviting. The horchata was a little underwhelming because it was a tad bit watery.
