I recently tried the Everything Protein Bowl at California Fish Grill, and if you're looking to load up on protein, this bowl definitely delivers! With 56 grams of protein, it comes packed with Cajun shrimp, salmon, swai, and grilled chicken over white rice, beans, diced tomatoes, chili mix, and parsley, plus a side of roasted tomatillo salsa. What I liked: The variety of proteins was impressive, and everything was cooked well. The Cajun shrimp added a nice kick, and the salmon was flavorful. Great option if you're trying to hit your protein goals. What could be better: The roasted tomatillo salsa was pretty bland and didn't add much flavor to the bowl. The rice was the biggest disappointment. It tasted like reheated bagged rice and lacked the fresh, fluffy texture I was hoping for. Overall: The proteins were the star of the dish and made it worth trying, but the bland salsa and underwhelming rice kept it from being a standout meal. If you're focused on protein, it's a solid choice, but I wish the sides had more flavor.

I had the Barramundi plate this time. The fish was cooked perfectly with a garlic butter sauce on top. Rice and zucchini sides were also very tasty. Ordering at the kiosk is fast and efficient. The dining areas are kept very clean by the friendly staff. I will definitely return to try some of their other menu items. Price point remains very value added.

    Self ordering kiosk

First off, every time we come here - EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Today one of the self order kiosks wasn't working, so one of the employees directed me to a gentleman to help take my order personally. I was so flustered by the self ordering kiosks that I ended up ordering the wrong things when we got our food. I ended up ordering two orders of - 2 pieces of fish taco combos. Instead, I meant to order 1 order of a 2 pieces of beer battered fish combo and 1 order of a 2 piece fish taco combo. Also, the side orders were wrong. So when I went to the front to explain what had happened, the gentleman that took my order was the manager and he was so helpful in making my order right. He compensated us and gave not only 2 but 3 pieces of beer battered fish, and another side order of zucchini. My favorite thing about getting their beer battered fish here, whether it's just the fish or getting a fish taco is that the quality of the fish and make of the fish is so delicious. You definitely get that crunch factor and the batter is so light. Another one of my favorite things here is their sweet potato fries. This is a great place to get a healthy meal if you are craving fish. The ambience is very open. There are lots of seating as well as outdoor seating.

Clean establishment, Beautiful & Tasty portions ! - the servers don't really come up to you and ask if you need anything. But if you go to the front and ask, they are always attentive to your needs - There is parking

This place is so beyond amazing ! The vibes were very welcoming everyone is so nice busy but they definitely don't forget to greet their guest . OVERALL THE FOOD wasn't a mess on the first place. It is called a shrimp trio coconut shrimp with shrimp skewers with roasted corn the sauce is half Cajun half garlic. The second plate are Cajun shrimp tacos with sweet potato fries and corn as well. The food is very delicious and I enjoyed it with a strawberry mark Margarita with this weather. This food was amazing but most informal the service was 10 out of 10 and never want to come here and try it. !

We usually order thru uber eats and the food has always come well packaged and so tasty. Bit this weekend we decided to go in and enjoy our food. I really loved the presentation of the food on these awesome plates. Just getting it so fresh, I think we'll be dining in more often.

Grilled plate: Atlantic Salmon with Cajun sauce on top of white rice with sautéed zucchini

My first time here and won't be my last. I ordered the Atlantic salmon because they didn't have any sockeye salmon available. The fish was cooked well and so was the zucchini but the rice had a few hard pieces in it and I wish there was some more seasoning on the fish. I love the fact that the food is healthy! It took about 20 minutes for me to get my food and the employees were helpful while I was ordering. The restaurant and bathrooms were really clean! This was my first time there but it won't be my last.

The mahi mahi with zucchini and brussels sprouts were absolutely fresh and delicious. This was my first time eating here. It will one of our regular places to eat.

Order was for pick up the Presentation was sloppy & careless i ordered beer battered fish tacos with brown rice & zucchini ... sides were good fish was crispy but the tortillas were terrible & falling apart & the dressing or sauce they put on the fish was too much & sloppy with smushed tomatoes & no parsley garnish pickled onions saved the flavor... haven't been here in awhile man what happened?

The mulita was a little pricey when you think it's just a little cheese and an extra corn tortilla included. The tacos were ok. I enjoyed the flavor of the meat and it wasn't overly salted however it didn't taste the freshest. It tastes like it's been in a steamer to keep it warm. I also wish the tortilla were heated a little more. They were soft and couldn't hold the meat. By the time I added my salsa and toppings they were ripping apart when I went to bite them. Te mulita was not good at all. I took one bite and threw it away. The tortillas were cooked enough, the cheese wasn't melted completely. I would not get those again. On a positive note, I love the free beans they give. They were tender and had flavor. A nice thing about this place is they have a full salsa bar with lemon, grilled onions, cilantro and onion, salsas. Nice not to have to ask. My cashier was helpful. She answered my questions about the mulita and took my order correctly. The ambiance is casual. I enjoyed the music playing while I dined it. There's also a lot of seating, including a table for a larger party. Give this place a try. I will go back and try something else.

This place is located in strip mall out in Rialto. As soon as I walked in, I can tell this place was a chill place to eat with very friendly people serving you. I was really excited to sit down and order. I ended up getting the #9 (or #5? It's been a while and they're similar). Either way, this order gives you a good sample of a lot what they have to offer. If the #9, it comes with a panucho, a salbute, a polcan, an empanada de carne, a taco de cochinita de pibil, and a taco relleno. The amazing flavors and textures. I was like a kid in a candy store with this meal. Everything was delicious all washed down with the Modelo. It's a little far for me, but definitely would love to stop by again if I'm in the area or driving through.

Long review but I think it's important to say what needs to be said:…read more THE SHORT VERSION; First time visiting this place since reviews were generally good and it's truly something special to see a restaurant specializing in Yucatecan food only. The food was different than your standard Mexican offering and overall very good, good seasoning and portions. Pricing was not out of what would be expected for quality Mexican food. The service, unfortunately, was half baked, which is really sad for me to see as a staunch supporter of local, immigrant owned businesses and being a child of immigrants myself and knowing how much hard work is involved in maintaining a business alive. THE LONGER VERSION; It was apparent that the waitress that served us during our visit could not only benefit from more training in offering (and caring to offer) a better customer service experience / better table side communication but also needs to make the connection about how her actions affect the livelihood of a business that others have undoubtedly worked very hard for. But, I guess this assumes she wants to genuinely work there. To begin with, my party was greeted by a poorly delivered and off putting joke about making sure she served us lots of alcohol; delivered in a way that in Spanish is known as "ser llevado" or overly familiar. Odd to make jokes like that when you just met someone visiting your business for the first time, but we passed it off as just a poor attempt to connect. Fine, we moved on. The music was extremely loud. When we asked if it could be lowered somewhat, she lowered the volume from an 11 to a 2, which then made the ask not only awkward but almost passive aggressive. (I only say this because once we left, we heard the volume quickly go back to 11, as if they were just waiting for us to leave to crank the volume back up again). The waitress did explain the dishes well, letting us know what the unique ones were. However, in the middle of our conversation a guy walked through the door and it was obvious that there's a connection between them because she then got more impatient explaining things to us as said guy moved to sit at a table towards the back of the restaurant. We completed our order, she served us and then kind of disappeared to wait on the other table, we thought. When she did happen to pass by our table again, I politely asked for additional plates and silverware, when she had a chance, to which she replied that I could pick them up myself from near the register area. Her response seemed out place since we were dining in and we were under the impression that she was our waitress, so I asked her again for silverware, not plastic utensils. Again, she told me that I could pick up plastic utensils myself from the register, pointing, "see they're right there" and walked away to the kitchen. We were still processing the exchange, a bit in disbelief, when she then appeared with requested silverware and additional plates but visibly annoyed and in some kind of hurry. It was really hard to focus on enjoying our meal after that. The waitress then made her way to the back table to sit next to, one could now only presume was her boyfriend, and we never saw her again. She never checked on us, asked if we needed anything, etc. Her priority was staying seated and chatting it up with that guy. Who did come to check on us was the owner, who seems to have cooked the meals and walked out of the kitchen to speak with us. He asked if we had enjoyed the food, if it was our first time there, talked about how he sourced his ingredients, shared some of the restaurant's history. Then he walked away to continue working. Unfortunately, we were forced to engage again with the waitress (who remained seated at the back table) and had to ask her across the restaurant where we should pay. Before she answered from her chair (didn't even get up to speak with us and was getting ready to yell back at us from her seat) the owner appeared at the register and told us we could pay with him. Unfortunately, the whole service experience did negatively color our desire to return to this place again. Giving more like 3.5 stars because the food was good but not enough to overlook the unpleasant service.
