I've eaten at the Santa Maria CA location and I remember not really thrilled about it. This time I was looking forward to having a great burger. Only ordered the burger, wow, I was 3rd car in line, they were served quick. I got to the booth and associate was happy to greet and get my card and processed quick. I swear, it seemed like 10 minutes to get my order of one burger, but I was happy, when I opened the wrapper it looked beautiful, I then took my first bite. Customer service has really gone down hill over the years. What awful staff the Habit in Buellton has now. I asked for a root beer float thru drive thru and the employee let me know that they didn't have root beer, thinking that they must have run out but the worker said that they don't sell any at that location, which I was confused cuz it has only been a year since I've gotten a root beer float at that Habit so I know they use to sell it but she made it sound like they never did which is wrong bcuz I was there was that Habit first opened. Then I hear the worker say, "omg this lady" loud and clear in the intercom. Once I got my food & payed, I let her know that I didn't appreciate her attitude over the intercom which she's telling me where she used to work, which I didn't ask and what does where you use to work have anything to do with how you talked to me. And she kept saying that she's didnt want to argue with me WHILE she's arguing with me in an aggressive tone. DISGUSTING. Last night we went through the drive through for a late dinner. It was $42 for two meals. Hamburger onion rings and a soda. We tried the avocado wedges and they were so bad we through them out. The avocado was too ripe. Then as we were leaving the drive through my husband said "wait they gave us the wrong order" so I had to go back and bang on the door since it was locked. I don't make a Habit out of eating at the Habit. But when on the road, craving a fast burger--I will step in. Sweet Potato Fries here are excellent. I ask for them with no salt or sugar added--these fries are so good they don't need that crap on them. Compared to other Habit's I have been to--the Double Char Burger here was less than Par. I don't know why?--I have tasted better at other Habits in So Cal. They may be using a different beef vendor? It just was not there for me yesterday--not awful--just not what you want it to be, especially one that is cooked on a flame which is the best burger prep method. I get my burger on a wheat bun here. Best place in Buellton for drive thru - hands down!!! I'm a creature of habit and I swing by this location every Thursday for lunch. I always order the Santa Barbara Cobb Salad with a side of ranch and It's always so delicious and satisfying. The workers here always greet me and are very nice and fast to get my food paid for and in my hands despite the busy lunch hour time. Insider tip: get there 15 min before 12 or after 12:45 to beat the rush! Highly recommend for a quick and healthier lunch since the SB Cobb salad is topped with boiled egg, bacon, chopped tomato and of course yummy avocado!
