Habit used to be on our regular rotation until their prices increased. We go there every now and then. We happened to go the other night. I always order the double char and sub the bun goes lettuce wrap. I don't really like how they just cut some I every lettuce and put a thick slice of it as the bun. I usually don't end up eating it because it is a big part of the core. The burgers are always great. Last night the fries were lackluster. Service is okay. OMG what is happening to our food!?!? Every good place is selling out to giant conglomerates who make every restaurant just like every other so we are stuck with mediocrity across every brand. Habit sold out to YUM brands in 2020. The goal for the company that also owns KFC, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut was to make money in CHINA. So instead of a cool, beachy, California burger place, Habit is now just another logo. We all get the same crap food everywhere with a different logo. We cannot emphasize strongly enough how tiny they've made their burgers. They look bigger in our picture than they actually were. They don't taste anything like they used to. We walked into this location after a long drive with two hours still ahead of us. There were two occupied tables that already had their food. We stood there for TEN minutes without anyone saying one word or acknowledging our presence. They looked at us but said nothing. As we stood at the counter, a woman came out of what we think was the bathroom. She had to walk right next to us to go behind the counter. We're thinking "oh good, the front counter person is here". Nope. She walked right by us, made a U-turn around the counter, and headed into a back office. Remember, we had been in our car for several hours. We didn't mind standing. We walked into the store and up to the counter. After 15 minutes of standing there, one of us looked behind us and to the left (closer to the seating area) and said "oh I guess we're supposed to order over there?". Still no contact from the crew. Blank millennial stares. We ordered at the kiosks in the seating area and started looking for a table. They were all covered in either grease, crumbs, pieces of food, or stickiness. We went to the counter to grab a handful of napkins to wipe off a table and a guy behind the counter walked near us. We asked if they had a bus towel or something we could use to clean a table. The only reason for two stars is this guy finally smiled and was pleasant, in at least a retail way. He grabbed a towel walked with us to a table, wiped it and we had a nice wet table top which we then dried with our handful of napkins. As he turned away he said "sorry about that" and we started to say "that's ok thanks for your help", but as soon as we started to say that it was clear he was talking on his headset to a drive through customer. So we're all just cogs in the Yum brands corporate machine One of the last "good" burger places in California is now dead forever. A rotting corpse of a once promising brand to be used and wrung out for every penny Yum brands can get until they spin it off or shut it down or move it to "Asia". Zombie workers kill time for money at their dead end positions, pleasing a manager who is doing the same. All of them biding time until Yum brands figures out how to crank out corporate "food" without any workers at all. Good bye Habit. You used to be good. I have visited this location at least three times and recent years because of local road trips from the Bay Area to Sacramento it's a Midway stop to grab some food or gas or whatever cuz a lot of stores in the area. At any rate each time I visit, including the most recent time-which was two Saturdays ago I have got good food fresh food and no complaints about the food or the customer service. They're not getting five stars because this location tends to be expensive for what you really get however you know I appreciate the salads which are often get bur the wait time is horrible. The most recent time I was there is like two people running the whole restaurant one guy right in the front register and one guy running the drive-thru and they were cooking at the same time it was crazy Madness if you had a couple more employees (because there was quite a bit of walking traffic) it probably would run a little smoother, it wouldn't look so rushed,9and it wouldn't be like a 15 minute wait for your food. Besides that I enjoyed my garden ranch salad with that ahi tuna as well as avocado. Also get the house for balsamic dressing added to that meal and a side of tempura string beans- which is my go-to. On this road trip particularly I ate your tempura string beans right away they were fresh. I also added the little Chili's to eat with them as well as little extra Ranch excellent. I ended up putting my salad in the refrigerator at the hotel once we got there and then the next day and it was super crunchy and fresh-Awesome. So my wife and I decided to give Habit a try again. It's been a few years since it came to Dixon and we used to go there all the time until they started getting our order wrong. They also had us waiting at the drive through up to 30 minutes at a time. Today my wife ordered a burger for her and I had the Ahi tuna. She asked to have the dressing on the side since it makes the tuna soggy. When she gets home the tuna was covered in dressing and the veggies were left out. Literally bun,meat, and dressing. The tuna was super dry and super thin. One edge of the tuna was literally 1/8th of an inch thick. This will be the last time we go to Habit. Never again. read more

It was what I expected, and much better than my last two experiences. The place was clean. The food was fresh. We ate and got back on the road. Fast food takes a beating in Yelp reviews. First time at this Dixon location. At least the onion rings were good but you forgot the ranch! Why ask? Fries were terrible!!! Also, I have had many Santa Barbra's and this was the worst. Quality of their food has gone down a lot. Last burgers were over cooked, dry and lacking flavor. The prices are also very high. For a double cheeseburger, onion rings and milkshake is almost $19! read more

We came over tonight for a take out order, I sat and watched them work their magic behind the counter. The team worked well and I just sat there stunned at how well they got the job done. Fry's and sweet potatoes fry's were undercooked and soggy. 2 Hamburgers were the same cold and soggy. The salad was actually ok but that was it. Even the stary soda was flat. Updating my review because they either stopped enforcing or got rid of the sauce rule they implemented. I'm glad since it's so silly to limit sauces but not allow us to pay for them if we want additional containers. As always, food is delicious here. Service is usually pretty great! I'm here today specifically to try out this new Patty Melt offered by my fave fast food burger place, The Habit Burger Grill! All the other burgers here are fantastic and better than In N Out, so let's see what they can do with the Patty Melt, cause folks, Patty Melts are one of most fave sandwiches! Ordering was easy, just the Patty Melt with extra grilled onions. It comes with grilled onions anyways, but more of a good thing! What surprised me is the cost of this patty melt, $7.46 inc tax or about $6.85 without tax ... that's just for the sandwich itself, nothing else, no fries or drink. I thought that was kinda high for what you were getting, well unless they really surprise me with a fantastic patty melt! Unwrapping it at my table, it was a little disappointed in what I saw, (posted pic). It was sort of a squished down patty melt, with 2 thin patties with cheese and not a whole lot of grilled onions. OK, let's eat! Hmmm ... well, not the most fantastic thing, but decent and editable. But given the choice of other stuff on the menu, I'll definitely pass on the new "Patty Melt". Get the double charburger with cheese, it's way fabulous, more than this thing. (see pic). For the money, with fries, this patty melt would set me back about $10 bucks ... I can get a way better patty melt at a sit down sports bar pub place for about the same price! see pic. (big med rare meat). So, I'll keep 5 stars for the Habit, cause the other food here is really good and the best fast food burger you can get around here, but yeah, forget that new Patty Melt! read more

I've traditionally really loved Habit Burger. I was in town recently and tried this Dixon location since it was relatively new to me. The interior of the restaurant was very nice. This was once an Arby's (OH HOW I MISS THAT PLACE) with kind of an ugly interior, but they did a great job in remodeling. It's very modern with nice lights and seating areas now. The Habit Burger offers a few nice selections of burger choices on the menu. Their standard char burger is a good regular tasting burger. The teriyaki burger is really nice in that it's pretty different than what most places have. Tonight I went for the BBQ bacon burger as it was a cold night and I wanted something with a little more heft. I ordered the burger and received a table pager. Though the restaurant was pretty slow tonight, the wait for the burger and onion rings that I ordered was slightly longer than I expected it to be. I thought it would be fine as I felt that meant the food was being prepared well. Well, when the food was ready it did turn out to be well... maybe 'too' well. The onion rings were a bit over done and. They were pretty dark and very crunchy. I like onion rings, but I think these sat for a little too long in the fryer. As for the burger, I felt the same way about it. The patty was a bit dry and the bacon was a bit hard. I just thought the textures were a bit off from what I wanted it to be. The flavors coming from the food were good enough, but I thought that the preparation could have used a little more work. I did, however, like the large selection of drinks that were available. They had some uniquely flavored fruit drinks and teas. Overall I'd be ok with coming to this Habit Burger location and I'm glad Dixon is getting places like this in town! read more

Hey, this one's closer than Goleta! Sweet. Thank you for not opening up another darn In-N-Out! This place is across the street from a new spiffy looking McDonald's and should blow them out of the water based upon taste. Then again, you don't go to Mickey D's for a gourmet burger. We dined in just to get a feel for this new restaurant and it wasn't a horrible experience. I almost expected a sterile plastic feel and was pleasantly surprised. Because of this, I have nothing to say about the drive-thru except that they have a drive-thru. There is no outdoor awning like there is on Hollister though. :-( Shakes/soft serves looked good- didn't order one. Wife ordered a double char with cheese. I'd say it was better than most of the fast food burgers out there. Remember the first In-N-Out burger you had? Kinda like that. Now my Santa Barbara Char- THAT was something. It is served in a different container because it's two patties between grilled sourdough. With avocado. Yeah, yum. I'm a bit wary that these guys will keep up the business after the grand opening commotion (where's William L?!?!?) settles down. Apparently, there is a section to add a tip at the drive through. Be careful you don't miss that,because we did and our food was all but thrown at us, we paid for cheesy garlic fries and were given plain fries that were cold and stale, as were the fried green beans, which are usually amazing. I will not patronize a business that abuses consumers, especially for an honest mistake, nor will I be abused into tipping someone for handing me a bag! Unfortunately, my order of their "new" garlic Parmesan fries looked NOTHING like their picture. See my pic with the single strand of Parmesan cheese and zero garlic.
