My sister and I decided to stop by our local IHOP, to see why it wasn't busy on a Saturday, at 5pm. Everyone was out Christmas shopping...?? Kind of a mystery... 1. The service was excellent....the ambience was super festive, the food was waaay above average...the prices were very competitive! Some meaks were below the FAST FOOD prices! , I can only come to my personal conclusion, that it is all about LOCATION! I will definitely be recommending this establishment. Service was decent. I think our server may have been new because my order was not what I asked for but it was still good and he seemed a little stressed. I placed an order for pick up at 10:33am. The order said it'd be ready by 10:49. We walked in at 10:51 and the waitress stated it'd only be a couple more minutes. I did use my rewards so I was trying to be understanding. However, as we are waiting a guy walks into the door and gets seated. She knows the guy. I waited until 11:15 and I see that the guy that got seated, RECEIVED HIS FOOD AT HIS TABLE BEFORE US. I say "excuse me" out loud and she completely ignores me. From the outside this place looks closed. The parking lot empty and when we entered we were seated immediately. We were the only customers which made me wonder why. Once seated we were greeted by our waitress Ashleigh who was very friendly and had a welcoming smile. We asked for the holiday menu and she quickly got it for us. However they can host large large groups they have a private banquet room that can accommodate about 30-50 people easily and it has a door that closes and blinds that can be closed for maximum group privac If you don't employee great people. I think this place has really improved in so many ways. From the service to the food to the environment. Every time I come in here Eli always has the place decorated and it brings everyone so much joy. She does an amazing job. No matter the holiday it always looks nice. My kids love coming here. Service has definitely improved since it reopened. And I like bringing the family in all the time. The only reason I don't give it a 5 star is because that bathroom stink escapes the restroom every now and then. That will definitely make people leave. My husband and I walked in today around 9:00 AM and were seated immediately by this nice young lady. The booth across us were 2 ladies and their orders were being taken by a Latina staff wearing brown checkered button up top. After several minutes, we were ready with our orders but no one was taking our order. I tried to wave my hand to the same female staff who took the order next to us. She ignored me. I tried again and making sure she sees me and establish eye contact. She ignored me again! Went there last Sunday for brunch. The service was great as was the food. The new management has made great strides in improving this restaurant. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because one of the staff members who was putting away just cleaned silverware was sniffling and wiping her nose with the back of her hand while handling the silverware. We had breakfast here today. Don't remember our server's name but she was a young lady. She greeted us soon as she had the chance and from our order to the end was a great experience. She made sure we were doing alright during our meal. We paid and had left the tip on the table. A worker wearing red asked if she could take the plates away that were empty. We were still eating but were fine for the empties to go. Then she asked if we wanted her to give the cash tip to our server. We felt uncomfortable with that. We personally wanted to give it to our server. We never has anyone do that while we were dining. I hope that our for her tip that she deserved. I really wanted to like this re-opened IHOP. The decor is new and they made the space seem roomier. We were seated promptly for 2 people which was great. However it stopped there. I set my timer (a little late) to see how long it would take. Nobody even came for our drink orders for 10 mins. I had to stop the waitress waiting on the table next to us and asked if she's our server. Surprise, she's not, but she said she would take care of us if they don't come. (A couple behind my daughter was seated after us and got executive treatment. A couple behind me complained that they haven't seen their server in 30 mins and a manager quickly took their order.))
