    Grilled chicken pesto

For those who are at the SoCal Sports Complex, this is a great location to grab a sandwich as it's directly across the street from the complex. For $15.29 after tax, my wife and I split an 8 inch Grilled Chicken Pesto. The star of the sandwich is definitely the sourdough bread. Fresh, light, flavorful and toasted perfectly. The house sauce and dijon pairing on the sandwich wasn't heavy but wish it had a little more punch on the flavor. Chicken was very thinly sliced. Generous amount of lettuce and tomato. Would have liked if there was more protein as part of the regular serving because the portion does get lost in the rest of the toppings. Would order extra meat - didn't catch the price of it. I don't like my food being extra heavy either and usually a normal portion of protein is fine. It's good. Would give 3.5 stars if I could. edit: my wife said all the chicken was on her half of the sandwich and she felt too much on her side

Food was good, bread was nicely toasted for our bread bowl. Very good sourdough bread. Service was quick and friendly. It's a quick service place, clean and plenty of space.

We've been driving by for ages and finally pulled the plug to try this location of West Coast Sourdough. We luckily went inbetween lunch and dinner so they didn't seem busy at all. My husband and I easily placed our orders, we paid, and then we waited for almost 20 minutes for 2 sandwiches. While normally this would be a decent wait time, there was only 2 other customers together in the store (besides us) and 4-5 staff members working at once. It seemed a little silly that a 4" and 6" sandwich could take so long with so few customers and a large team working. It's possible they were waiting on fresh loaves to make the sandwiches but that is unknown to us. Was it worth the wait? Yes and no. We absolutely loved our sandwiches. My husband loved his Ruben and I devoured my grilled chicken pesto. The sourdough loaf was perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The pesto and chicken combo was just a dream. So while we were over enjoyed with our sandwiches, overall it was not worth the wait time and price of each sandwich. It did seem a bit expensive compared to Boudin, Panera, Corner Bakery, Subway, etc. While these options may not compare exactly, they feel similar. If we order ahead next time and are nearby, it could be worth it to go again. We really did love the taste of each sandwich! Although I have some negatives reviewed above, it has nothing to do with the staff as is, more the process the company puts the staff through to serve guests. All team members were incredibly kind, caring, and extremely welcoming to us throughout our entire experience.

I am under impressed. The sourdough is less than 3 inches in diameter. The beef has no pink, just grey and I'm guessing there's no more than 2 ounces of meat in a 4 inch sandwich and perhaps 3 ounces in the 6 inch. This was $24. Both sandwiches were stuck to the wrapper and it was very salty. In addition, I ordered and the sandwiches were not ready on time. There were three people working behind the counter and only one customer in the place ahead of me. With The foregoing in mind, I would recommend any other place but here. There's a place 2 miles away that gives you 4-6 times the meat on a foot long roll for $4 more. The end

I usually get small chicken and ranch sandwich and my husband the French dip. Service is always good and we love to enjoy our sandwiches outside. Cookies are pretty good

Incredible bread and all of the staff members were very helpful and kind. The gluten free bread was incredibly tasty and it stayed together ! (Iykyk) pictured in the review is the gf bread w garlic pesto turkey. Super cute inside the store and a couple tables outside too that are cute to hang at with umbrellas

First visit. We went on a Thursday about 5:45 and was not busy and there seemed to be plenty of people working and they closed at 7pm. May seem a bit odd to most but we weren't ever acknowledged or greeted until we spoke to the cashier. Placed our order easily and waited about 10 minutes for our order number to be announced and delivered to our table. Sandwiches were great but as I sat there and watched a fair amount of customers walk in I noticed they were never greeted as well. Just seemed odd to me as the place is new and how important service is especially when there were So many people working that day. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and plenty of tables to sit at was very nice. We'll be back again because the food was good. Spent $37 for the 8" #11 and 15 combo meals (sandwich, chips and soda).

A solid choice for lunch, but nothing spectacular. Lunch rush can be a bit busy so we had to wait a bit to order. Good sandwiches with decent service and subpar atmosphere,m.

5 for the food always. 4 for the way the line to order is set up. It's at the entrance and no one behind the counter makes people move ugh. So people think they can just walk up but they are always told by others in line get to the back lol just kidding. We are all nice humans here. The kitchen is open and clean. It takes a little while for the sandwich it worth it. If it's busy you'll easily have a 20-25 minute wait from order to getting your food. Across the street from the new arena, next door to habit, a taco shop and Greek place, train and bus and 2 Marriott hotels. They have fresh baked cookies, chips, brownies, bread bowls, salads, Mac and cheese and soup. Clam chowder is the best!

Ask the Community - West Coast Sourdough

Do they offer an unwich type of sandwich with a lettuce wrap rather than the bread for people doing keto or low carb?

They have salads! So I'm sure they could make you a Sandwhich without the bread!

Clarification on the Salad sizes? Is the small like a side salad or like a lunch portion salad entree

They offer small and large. Small is more an individual portion and large is more of a bowl and would probably have leftovers from.

Lately, I've been searching for a new go-to pho spot, and this place is definitely climbing back up my list. The staff was professional and attentive, and the restaurant itself was very clean. The dining room, bathrooms, tables, and sauce stations were all well maintained. I also appreciated the hand sanitizer available at every table small detail, but a nice touch. I ordered the regular pho for about $15 and really enjoyed the broth. The meats were tender and flavorful, especially the brisket and tripe. Portion sizes definitely seem smaller compared to the oversized bowls many spots used to serve years ago, but honestly it works well if you're trying to avoid overdoing it. My son ordered the grilled pork chops with rice. The flavor was good, especially paired with the fish sauce, though the pork chops could have been a little hotter and had more of that grilled flavor. Parking can sometimes be tricky depending on the time of day, but today it wasn't an issue at all. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and especially the broth. Pho House is definitely becoming one of my preferred pho spots in Oceanside again.

For some of the best ramen that Oceanside has to offer, I recommend The Wu Lan Ramen located in the Plaza Del Oro Shopping Center, just south of the 76 Hwy. It's hidden behind the 24 Hour Fitness and CVS. The plaza has limited parking, but it isn't typically too crowded and you should be able to find parking in front of this family-owned ramen restaurant. They have a quaint and trendy ambiance and they placed a lot of care into their anime murals, which lends to a "whimsical" vibe. It's a nice blend of traditional elements & colors and modern (kawaii) accents. The interior is also spacious and has great seating for groups and is also good for couples too. Enjoy table seating or better-yet at their bar seating and you can chat with the friendly staff! They have a "staple menu" that is written in chalk on a board and then there's their menu that is very diverse. They also have a great Happy Hour menu with items priced below $8, including sake! I enjoy their pan-fried gyoza, salted edamame, miso soup, firecracker shrimp, fried calamari, chicken karaage and most other delicious dishes. Their sushi menu is also high quality grade and I feel is often overlooked and underrated. But their ramen is what shines the most! There are so many styles & varieties! There's a lot to customize and their broth is amazing! There are many tasty bowls, desserts and don't forget to grab a sake or a craft beer! I recommend checking Wu Lan Ramen the next time you're looking for some authentic ramen or sushi in the north side of Oceanside.

We settled on Oceanside in hopes of finding good food, as our weekend (end of Feb) had been full of a poor results. This place came up as very well rated on Yelp, as my friend and I searched for places to eat. It was a Saturday night with great weather. The red flag I should have read into was that the lone guy working that night was a one man show. He was doing it all in the front of the house. I tried to get us a table to sit outdoors but he just couldn't get to the table to clean it. After about 20 minutes he finally came and just moved all the bowls to the empty table next to it and wiped it down. When my friends finally arrived we all sat down to sticky menus that had NO descriptions. What you see on the website is exactly what they have on the menu. We had to wait to ask the server/host what each menu item meant. It took a while to get our food from when we ordered. Thank goodness for good company, I didn't clock it. The food options were limited and keep in mind for those who have children, most of the options come with a spicy kick, you'll have to explicitly tell them "no spicy"! There was a party who had been sitting for a while before we got there and a kiddo took a bite of pizza and was crying, screaming from it being so spicy. With my ramen the portions are tiny for what you pay, with 1 piece of meat, not enough noodles. Flavor wise it was spicy and bland. We ordered a couple appetizers which were not very good. The edamame was overly salty and soaked in soy sauce and the karaage was probably the only good thing and that was a little overfried. No one in our party finished our food or took any of the leftovers home. Save yourself the trip, not worth trying the "unique foods".
