It was pretty difficult to find Asian food throughout the city of Clemson but luckily I came across this place. I opted for the chicken hibachi which came with chicken, mushrooms, rice, and carrots. I have never had a combination like this meal but I actually came to enjoy it. I enjoyed the taste of the chicken and mushrooms but felt like it may have been a little too much if you put shrimp sauce on it. I also really enjoyed the steamed carrots as they were pretty sweet and provided for a delicious mix to the meal. My only strife was that the meals were all raised by a dollar for some reason, but the meats were still a little scarce on the plate. All in all, this place made for a nice outing and was also very convenient due to them being open until 9pm and them serving the food pretty quick. read more

Ok so we've been here a few times and it was great but we ate here today (march 17th 2022) and i was appalled by the service. As soon as we walked in, there was no greeting so we sat ourselves, our waitresses never came to give refills, barely spoke to us, made us get our own silverware and was on their phones most of the time. The one star I'm taking from here is due to making it nearly impossible to read the drive thru menu (thankfully the person who took my order gratefully offered me one) but other than that I really enjoyed the food. I got the teriyaki scallops with broccoli and it was delicious. Scallops were juicy with flavor and the fried rice was cooked very well also. No need to ask for extra sauce, they give you a large amount that you are able to put on however you may please. The food was done within 6 minutes. Which was faster than I thought. Food is absolutely delicious with generous portions!!! I had the shrimp teriyaki and it tasted very fresh and flavorful. The shrimp and broccoli has a delicious flamed broiled flavor while the carrots were pleasantly sweet! Overall great place for Hibachi! read more

We ordered three meals and needless to say the amount of chicken they gave you for each dish was better suited for a young child certainly not an adult. Very skimpy on the chicken but tons of rice. Sad because this place was our go to place for Hibachi but with these portions not worth the price. read more

even with an entire container of white sauce, the "teriyaki" chicken has no flavor!!! i don't know if they accidentally gave me hibachi chicken instead, but even then the broccoli has more flavor than the chicken and rice combined. not worth $11. read more

This place is brand new in Central and it was recently reviewed in the Tiger! As far as hibachi goes, this place is really delicious! As most Clemsonians know, Osaka express is usually the go-to place for hibachi, but I think Hachi could definitely give them a run for their money! The portions are huge and for the usual hibachi price of $6/7ish dollars. I would say the portions are slightly bigger than Osaka. The menus are pretty much the same at both place (there might be a few more things at Hachi though). The meat was great, sauteed vegetables were delicious and tasted very fresh (especially the tender mushrooms)! The yumyum sauce (a must have at hibachi) was also really great! No complaints (: The best part about this place is they have a DRIVE-THRU! read more

The new blonde-headed white cashier has a very nasty attitude. We visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. We placed our orders and waited for our food. After getting to the car, we realized we didn't get our shrimp sauce. When we went back inside to ask for the sauce, the blonde-headed cashier accused us of taking the sauce out of the bag. We went as far as opening the bag AND the plates. She had a very haughty and accusatory attitude. WHO STEALS SHRIMP SAUCE?! After going back and forth, she finally went and got us the sauce. She has a terrible attitude and from the other reviews, we are not the only ones who have experienced it. DON'T GO TO SENECA LOCATION! We have been twice, BOTH times there was one person working in the dining area with a take-out line of two or three people at a time. Also, the drive thru was swamped! Subsequently, we received NO attention. After our order was taken, we had to get up and get drink refills AND get a to-go box. I love eating authentic hibachi Japanese food at Hachi Express! My go-to is teriyaki chicken or shrimp (or both!), and there's no need to order extra shrimp sauce-- they give you plenty! Definitely worth the price for the great quality food. The restaurant area is simple but accommodating, and ordering to-go is just as easy. My food usually comes out within 5-6 minutes after ordering. Would highly recommend! read more

I use to love going here when I was a teenager and didn't know any better. Now that I've traveled and experienced exceptional customer service I will never be back. The front cashier is rude and not personal at all. They are over dramatic about their shrimp sauce. When they forget it they blame the customer. They have also messed up my order and gave me steak instead of chicken. When I went out of my way to try to get them to fix it because I don't eat red meat they completely blew me off and did absolutely nothing to fix it. They tried charging me for an entire new meal when I wasn't able to eat the first meal in the first place. The food quality has also gone down hill since I was in high school. Chewy and rubbery chicken. The only way to make their food more tolerable is to drown it in shrimp sauce which they often forget ! Save your time and effort and go down the street to Osaka. They have amazing workers and have never once gotten my order wrong. read more

This is the best hibachi anywhere near or around Clemson. It's in Central, but it's worth the extra couple miles for sure! The food is always hot and fresh (even the rice, I'm pretty picky about fried rice) and the prices are more reasonable than Osaka. They even offer a student discount! The most terrible customer service I ever experienced. Got a to-go order and they forgot our shrimp sauce. When we went back in to ask for it, the waitress said she had put in the bag. When we showed her the bag, she accused us of taking the shrimp sauce out of the bag. They eventually gave us the shrimp sauce, but why go so far to accuse a customer of dishonesty over such a miniscule item? We will never step in this establishment ever again. read more

Best Hibachi around Clemson! It's a bit more pricey than Osaka's and Akami, but the portion size is humongous so you definitely get what you pay for. The menu is overall cheap and it is larger than most Hibachi restaurant menus, offering salmon, grilled veggies, and seafood, along with the normal chicken, steak, or shrimp options. The best things about Hachi are the local family ownership, the super portions, and the great big tub of shrimp sauce that they put on every table. read more

Not every restaurant has to have five star award winning cuisine to be great. Hachi offers a great product at a great price in my opinion. The food comes with great flavor so you don't have to add sauce if you don't want to, and man can he cook scallops perfectly. This place should definitely be in your rotation ;) read more
