If you're a fan of all-you-can-eat sushi, this wouldn't be my first recommendation. I'd only come back here if I was in a pinch. The sushi itself was slightly above average, but they went heavy on the rice, which took away from the overall flavor. The ambiance was fine--nothing particularly memorable but the staff was a little mixed in seeming wanting us to stay or leave since i ordered so much. The dumplings were a pleasant surprise, though the ginger had an odd taste that threw me off a bit.

It was a rainy day in Navarre, FL, so my husband I decided to go out for lunch. We found out about New Ginger on Yelp, and I'm so glad we did. When we arrived, we were seated immediately despite a huge party in the back. Our waitress was funny and personable and could really give suggestions because she knew the menu backwards and forwards. I decided on the Thai Ginger. Chicken was an option, but I decided to go with only veggies. The ginger sauce was amazing and I had enough food left over for lunch the next day. I also tried the hot and sour soup. The recipe was very different than what I was used to. It was interesting but I probably not order it again.

I didn't realize I was traveling so far for my pickup (thought it was in Gulf Breeze), but I went anyway. Great service, but food needs some serious work. I got the sesame chicken, egg drop with wonton soup and pork eggroll. Everything was bland. They serve the fried wonton strips with their soup. Love that! Fairly inexpensive from what I am used to. All of the staff were American, and being from Houston, that's new for me with Chinese restaurants. I've never had Chinese food like this. No, no, no.

What a gem! I wasn't sure what to expect from the range of reviews on Yelp but I can say that I'm happy that I gave it a chance. I didn't eat in but will say the customer service I got was still ideal. The meal I ordered was the Bento Box chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempura & shumai, with the American Dream sushi roll, and an order of steamed dumplings. The Bento box came with more then I expected, plenty enough to split between two people. Included with the box is a choice of miso soup or ginger salad. I opted for the salad. In the box was a large helping of white rice, two long tempura shrimp, tempura broccoli, tempura sweet potatoe, tempura squash, and the chicken breast covered in teriyaki sauce. And I think some tempura tofu, which isn't my cup of tea, so i wasn't trying to find out. All and all, everything tasted good. The included sauce with the tempura vegetables and shrimp was a nice adage. The American Dream sushi roll was a little bit of crunchy with salty and sweet taste pair together. Definitely a treat by itself. The steamed dumplings were perfectly cook. It came with a sweet dipping sauce. No complaints with it. For the price and amount of food you get, this will be one that I keep on the list of places to come when in the mood for Asian cuisine.

Clean restaurant. Greeted at door and immediately seated. Waitress got me a menu and gave me time to make my first selection. They have all you can eat, but you must order each item from the menu. Lunch was $15.99 They do offer chopsticks. I had the sushi rolls. Sushi was warm. Not chilled like I usually am served. It was somewhat bland. I tried three different sushi rolls. It reminded me of the old Horizon sushi. I need to try other items on their menu.

Food was average at best. Service was great as well as speed. Food just was blah. Wonton soup was chewy. Fried rice was mushy.

Absolutely terrible food and service! Run from this place!…read more I went for the first time on July 8, 2026, to try it out for lunch. I had visited their website an hour before I went, to check their prices. They have Kung Pao Chicken listed for $7.95 on their website. The Shrimp Fried Rice lists for $6.50. Mongolian Beef lists for $7.95. Sweet & Sour Chicken lists for $4.95. These are NOT lunch specials. Egg rolls list for $2.50 per order. Beef Lo Mein lists for $4.95 on their website. But when I got to the actual restaurant, everything was $11 to $12. They deceive their customers, luring you in with false prices, and then gouge you when you get there! That is very unethical and shady. I purchased the following items: 2 orders egg rolls 1 Mongolian Beef 1 Kung Paul Chicken 1 Beef Lo Mein 1 Sweet & Sour Chicken 1 Shrimp Fried Rice I had told the woman at the cash register that I wanted "small" for the Mongolian beef, but she gave me large anyway. Then again I said "small" for the Kung Pao Chicken, but she said it only comes in large. I did order a large Shrimp Friend Rice, but that was the only item I wanted to be large size. She maxed everything out to charge me the maximum price. That insult, on top of the shameful fact that they lied big time about their prices on their website--it couldn't be more obvious that they are greedy and took advantage of me financially as a new customer. I waited for about 20 minutes in the waiting area by the front door for my order to go. I was born in 1967 in Chicago and lived there for 37 years, so I know great food. Here is my honest rating for the following items (0 being the worst and 10 the best) at House of Chong: 2 orders egg rolls = 0 (they use a flour breading, not egg roll wraps) 1 Mongolian Beef = 7 (average, not spectacular) 1 Kung Paul Chicken = 7 (average, not spectacular) 1 Beef Lo Mein = 4 (flavorless, not good) 1 Sweet & Sour Chicken = 0 (just terrible, awful) 1 Shrimp Fried Rice = 9 (the only thing I really enjoyed) For those 6 items they charged me $68. Going by their website menu pricing, my total bill should have been about $41 including the tax. The cashier asked if I wanted the credit card receipt and I declined, but she never gave me the actual receipt, which is separate. Now I see why, she ripped me off! I don't like being taken advantage of. Their food is lousy overall. I will never go back to this dump!

I took the beef phǒ to go and had it this evening; hands down the best cafe style phǒ in Pensacola. The broth is rich and the beef tender and lean. Plenty of veggies to add in, and really well packaged for travel. Great value in my book. Stay and shop for a huge selection and great prices on products. Okay, my initial review was Friday, and I wasn't a fan overall of the roast pork bahn mi due to the salt. Here is the completed review with your additional details incorporated:…read more I recently visited **Kalbi Ichiban** in Pensacola, Florida, located in the area of town where I grew up. It was good to return to familiar surroundings and find a restaurant offering a different dining experience. The interior is attractive, clean, and inviting. The restaurant also offers Korean barbecue, with tabletop grills built into several booths. It is a nice option for families, groups, or anyone interested in a more interactive meal. I went specifically looking for authentic Korean food. Having experienced Bulgogi while serving in Korea, it quickly became one of my favorite dishes. Most chain restaurants do not do the dish particularly well, so I decided to give Kalbi Ichiban's version a try. My waiter, **Carson**, was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service throughout the meal. He checked on me regularly without being intrusive and made the overall experience even better. Carson receives five stars from me. The meal came with Bulgogi, rice, and a choice of soup or salad. I selected fried rice and started with the hot and sour soup. I also ordered a side of kimchi because, in my opinion, a Korean meal is not complete without it. The hot and sour soup was excellent. It had great flavor, was well prepared, and was easily one of the highlights of the meal. The fried rice was good, although nothing about it particularly stood out. The Bulgogi was tender and very flavorful, but it was wetter than traditional Bulgogi. Authentic Bulgogi is normally much drier, with the marinade cooked into the meat rather than leaving it with a gravy-like consistency. Even with that difference, the flavor was enjoyable. The kimchi was also very good and added the right touch to the meal. Interestingly, the hot and sour soup was spicier than the kimchi. However, different regions of Korea prepare kimchi in different ways, so the level of heat and flavor can vary considerably. Overall, I was pleased with the meal and would rate the food **8.5 out of 10**. After adding a couple of cocktails, I was also pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the final bill was. I would rate the restaurant **two dollar signs out of five for price**, making it a good value for the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. Kalbi Ichiban may not serve Bulgogi exactly as I remember it from Korea, but it delivered a flavorful and satisfying meal. Combined with Carson's excellent service, the inviting atmosphere, and reasonable prices, it was an enjoyable dining experience and a restaurant I would visit again.

After reading some of these poor reviews posted for 86 Forks, it comes to my attention. Why would anyone finish their meal, pay for it, and then take the time to go online to post a bad review? Why not take the time before hand to ask what a certain dish or meal is - its flavor profile, spice(s), heat, etc.? We did ask the chef and she was more than happy to take the time to explain the dish's concept and let us taste prior to ordering. Read all the good and the bad reviews and ask yourself: 1. If unhappy with the dish, why clear your plate? 2. If not completely satisfied, why pay the bill? Why? Because it's simply not true. People like this are never going to be satisfied or happy. Never. Try 86 Forks for yourselves. Don't be afraid to ask the servers or better yet, ask the chef to explain the concept or allow you to taste something if you're unsure.
