It was a rainy day in Navarre, FL, so my husband I decided to go out for lunch. We found out about New Ginger on Yelp, and I'm so glad we did. When we arrived, we were seated immediately despite a huge party in the back. Our waitress was funny and personable and could really give suggestions because she knew the menu backwards and forwards. I decided on the Thai Ginger. Chicken was an option, but I decided to go with only veggies. The ginger sauce was amazing and I had enough food left over for lunch the next day. I also tried the hot and sour soup. The recipe was very different than what I was used to. It was interesting but I probably not order it again.

I didn't realize I was traveling so far for my pickup (thought it was in Gulf Breeze), but I went anyway. Great service, but food needs some serious work. I got the sesame chicken, egg drop with wonton soup and pork eggroll. Everything was bland. They serve the fried wonton strips with their soup. Love that! Fairly inexpensive from what I am used to. All of the staff were American, and being from Houston, that's new for me with Chinese restaurants. I've never had Chinese food like this. No, no, no.

We have enjoyed this establishment before but never on Christmas Day. The food is generous and delicious with sauces that complement the food. Our server, Emma, was very impressive and was attentive to our needs, always with enthusiasm and genuine hospitality. We will most definitely continue to support this local company.

What a gem! I wasn't sure what to expect from the range of reviews on Yelp but I can say that I'm happy that I gave it a chance. I didn't eat in but will say the customer service I got was still ideal. The meal I ordered was the Bento Box chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempura & shumai, with the American Dream sushi roll, and an order of steamed dumplings. The Bento box came with more then I expected, plenty enough to split between two people. Included with the box is a choice of miso soup or ginger salad. I opted for the salad. In the box was a large helping of white rice, two long tempura shrimp, tempura broccoli, tempura sweet potatoe, tempura squash, and the chicken breast covered in teriyaki sauce. And I think some tempura tofu, which isn't my cup of tea, so i wasn't trying to find out. All and all, everything tasted good. The included sauce with the tempura vegetables and shrimp was a nice adage. The American Dream sushi roll was a little bit of crunchy with salty and sweet taste pair together. Definitely a treat by itself. The steamed dumplings were perfectly cook. It came with a sweet dipping sauce. No complaints with it. For the price and amount of food you get, this will be one that I keep on the list of places to come when in the mood for Asian cuisine.

Clean restaurant. Greeted at door and immediately seated. Waitress got me a menu and gave me time to make my first selection. They have all you can eat, but you must order each item from the menu. Lunch was $15.99 They do offer chopsticks. I had the sushi rolls. Sushi was warm. Not chilled like I usually am served. It was somewhat bland. I tried three different sushi rolls. It reminded me of the old Horizon sushi. I need to try other items on their menu.

I don't understand how you can fuse those two dishes. It didn't have the signature flavor of either independent dish. It was more like yakisoba that you buy premade at an Asian market. Extremely disappointing. Also please explain to me how slamming rice, chicken, cucumber, and peanut sauce into a bowl constitutes a Cambodian dish. I have a disdain for any asian fusion restaurants because they lack true creativity and cohesion. This is coming from someone who grew up in Japan and the Philippines with all kinds of East and Southeast Asian Foods. To add insult to injury, our server forgot about some of our drinks and nearly charged me for the wrong meal. I just can't recommend this anyone who truly knows the flavors of each region they supposedly offer on the menu. You can make a meal with a something similar to a bowl of ramen, or get tapas. We opted for tapas, 2 per person is about enough for a normal meal portion. In order of my preference, we ordered the following: 1. Ribs. The ribs were out of this world, and I don't even like ribs. They had a ginger, soy/teriyaki flavor, lots of tender meat, so good I used the sauce with the fries. 2. Tuna tacos. They were present as large chunks of seared tuna with excellent toppings, and hard shells. I would have preferred soft tacos, but still excellent. 3. Bao chicken bao cow. Very good, 2 steamed buns with meat and veggies, similar to a mini banh mi. 4. Ceviche. Good, but a very small portion, enough for 5-6 bites, not with the price per portion. 5. Duck fries. Good flavor, but no longer offered with poutine, which is what made it stand out in the first place. Not very original compared to other dishes. My wife also bought the kiss of the prom queen drink, which was extremely tart, which she loved and I hated ha. Mandy was our server, very friendly and genuine with perfect recommendations. We brought our baby too, no high chairs available, but we brought our own portable one.

Gross. I genuinely don't understand the hype around this place. The pork ramen broth was so bland it was borderline inedible... I've had more flavor out of a 99¢ pack from Walmart. The duck fat fries? Also bland. The ribeye in the bao buns was crispy and chewy and burnt. The flavor of the buns themselves were okay. Also, the kimchi was wack. I've had better from Walmart as well. The only thing that actually had any flavor were the lobster rangoons, and that's not enough to save the experience. For the prices they're charging, this was a huge letdown. Easily one of the most disappointing meals I've had. Our server Bianca was pretty good, and it was kind of a vibe there, but the food was so horrible that it ruined the whole experience.

Since my first visit, the smiles throughout all the staff made me feel so welcome, even at- home like. Very kind, very attentive, and again, very smiley! When I arrive, I can always expect something new for the month. Their monthly specials include ranges of sushi, entrees, and appetizers. The creative excellence always makes trying something new an easy 'Yes!' The hot green tea is very calming for the cold days and the sakes always warm you up in the right places. Today, I had hot green tea, miso soup, a sake flight, and a January special: The Dynasty Surf Roll. The miso soup and hot tea are consistent with tradition but the special was a culinary rockstar. It had steak, cream cheese, avocado, mixed ceviche, masago, with these crunch chips topped with spicy mayo and eel sauce. Can you say "Happy New Year!" . It was so flavorful. The mix of textures was complex but worked great with the ceviche and steak. I was pretty impressed. Not only does it look artistic, it taste like a masterpiece. If we can have this January special all year, I'd definitely add it to my go-to list. At Motto's, I believe the sushi is the star of their show. They do have bento boxes and kitchen entrees, but the sushi is unmatched. If you visit, I recommend exploring the sushi menu and trying their specialty drinks like the milk and fruit teas. The sake options also give range to their menu, with not only flights but dozens of sake and wine options. If you ask me, sushi, sake, and smiles keeps this restaurant dear to my heart. I'll definitely be back next month for the February specials, but truly, the sushi keeps me coming back much sooner. See you next flight!

I love their roast duck. It is as close to authentic Chinese food where it is not Americanized. There are known for their specialty meats (like their roast duck or chicken) and their noodles. In fact, I came here because I found out they started serving Beef Chow Fun. Chow Fun is a hand made noodle that is steamed then cut into thick strips. The noodles are thick, translucent, and chewy. The noodles are very delicate to handle and need a real wok with high heat to handle it without breaking. Same with the HarGow (shrimp dumpling) uses a tapioca based dough so it is translucent and chewy. This type of wrapper needs to be handmade on the spot. You cannot buy the wrapper because it does not hold/store. Once the dumpling is made, it can be stored in the freezer. Shumai, on the other hand, is not homemade. These are store bought. I have tasted the same shumai bought at Bien Dong or any Asian grocery store. The filling is mostly some kind of filler flavored with shrimp. A real shumai has real shrimp and real ground pork. If they continue to serve this over processed crap, do not order it. I do recommend the duck, the beef chow fun, and the hargow (shrimp dumpling). home.
