The following review will be facts surrounding my personal experience with HailCo. You can form your own opinions based on these facts. My rating supports my own personal opinion. On 7/5 my Honda Pilot was severely damaged by hail while I was at work. A friend mentioned HailCo. The company has been seen on the news and seemed reputable. Checking all the reviews, reading everything it seemed to all check out. I called the tech and he came out to my home. He arrived 7/9 on time. He gave a quick look at my vehicle in the covered garage and said verbatim, "Oh ya. This looks perfect. No major paint damage. We have the fastest turn around time in the Denver area. THE LONGEST IVE HAD A VEHICLE IN MY SHOP IS 19 DAYS". I mentioned I didn't have any rental car coverage and he said they would cover it. Although, in direct contradiction of their fliers and website info, he told me they WOULD NOT cover both my deductible AND my rental car. I agreed to pay the deductible. We met at the rental car company two days later. He was on time, polite and professional. During this time, while securing my business, he was always prompt at returning texts and gave great communication. My car was taken before an adjuster ever came out to look at it. I had a difficult time getting a hold of my insurance adjuster so this did set back our time frame of repairs. I revived a message via text from the field tech on 7/19 saying the adjuster had been to the shop and looked at my car. I am responsible for these 8 days as it was my insurance we were waiting on. On 7/22 I had a text conversation with the field tech where he stated," Once we have approval a safe bet for repairs would be 6-9 days". I was notified 7/23 that HailCo received $13k+ from my insurance company for repairs. Over the next few days I got hardly any info about my vehicle even after I sent several texts. I will just give overview of the next few weeks of texts. 7/31 - vehicle is in disassembly 8/5 - I contacted via text asking why my car was being driven over 20 miles because I have a monitor on it and can see. It is not until NOW that I was EVER informed that this company works with THIRD PARTY auto body shops and my car had been taken to one to get a new hood 8/9- vehicle is waiting on the body shop. Best guess of completion is 2 weeks give or take a day 8/19- vehicle STILL in the body shop. 8/29 - after calling and speaking to 3 different managers I was informed that the parts they needed came in and car would hopefully be finished that evening I was later contacted by a manager stating that our car would be able to be picked up that evening but that it WAS NOT in fact finished and I would have a tech come out after we returned from our vacation to fix the back quarter glass. At this time he told me I could come pick up my vehicle by 6:30Pm. I arrived to pick up my vehicle at 6:30. We were then told that the technician did not know how to reinstall the windshield fluid lines and they were waiting for someone else to drive over to help them. We offered to come back in an hour. We arrived back at 8pm expecting the car to be ready. We sat in the waiting room another 45 min waiting for the car to be washed. We then had to inspect the vehicle with a flashlight because by this time it was dark outside. As we were driving home that evening my spare tire under The car started shaking and we had to pull over and reinstall it in the dark because it was put on incorrectly and upside down. The exterior work done by the shop was great. Everything looks restored as new. However, they did a poor job reinstalling my headliner and broke off clips where it connects to the roof in the seatbelt moldings. They also did a poor job reinstalling the rubber around the door frames. I chose not to contact them again regarding these 2 things because it wasn't worth it to me to deal with them again. The glass technician did contact me within 2 days and was out within the week after we returned and did an excellent job. He was from Insight auto glass not from HailCo. So overall, HailCo had my car for 49 days. 41 days minus the time waiting on insurance. When I was quoted 19. The following is MY opinion. The field technicians need more training and shouldn't be rushing people into handing their cars over quickly just to secure the business. The customer service was FAR under what I expect from this kind of business. I received poor communication while these people had my brand new car. I know that hail season was rough around here and they had a lot of cars to fix but I should have been informed from the very start that they were BUSY and that they could not quote me any kind of timeframe until the car had been approved by insurance. Even AFTER it was approved and they had payment they STILL under quoted me. If this company put as much energy into customer service as they did their repair work they would be the best in the business! read more

I had my hail damage fixed in January, from a 2016 hail storm and my car looks brand new again. I was approached by Frank after he saw my roof hail damage. He was incredibly informative and responsive. He and the owner met me at my workplace and talked me through the process because it really sounded too good to be true. I paid $0.00 to get my hail damage fixed and that was with a rental car. They did an awesome job for me and I HIGHLY recommend going to them. It was such an easy process. Pros: They pay part of your insurance deductible Cons: -They took over a week longer than estimated (they had me turn it over to them before insurance could look at it and said it would be faster this way. It wasn't. My car sat there for a week that I could have been driving it instead of the crappy rental). - They said they would give updates on certain days or times and inevitably I was the one contacting them for the updates. - There are paint bubbles in my repair. I may end up having to take it back to them to fix (since they said it's warrantied), but at this point I was without my car for over a month and my rental coverage had run out so I didn't have a choice but to take it. Bottom line: Next time the hail hits, I'll be going through a different shop. read more

I HAVE TO GET MY CAR REPAINTED BECAUSE OF HAILCO. I really wanted to give these guys a good review. I love that they have a program that eliminates having to pay a deductible. I understand they are really busy right now and don't have a lot of time to chat on the phone but as another reviewer said, I was the one contacting them about updates on my car instead of the other way around. I also want to state that the hail damage on my car is completely gone. However, after my arrival to pick up my car, we did a walk around to assess if there was any damage they may have missed, I noticed A LOT of new scratches. I asked my rep about it and my concerns were dismissed as normal wear and tear. After I got home I called my insurance company to ask them if they have any pictures that would show whether the scratches were there or not and she said the photos submitted by the shop were either blurry or taken in daylight so it was hard to see. She also said that there were no notes from either adjuster (2) had made about prior damage to the vehicle (ie scratches that were not caused by hail). I have my own photos from before my car went to the shop to prove it. I went out to the car after I got home and immediately took pictures of these scratches, in the daylight, with a cell phone and they are easy to see. My car is dark gray and these scratches are white. I'm really disappointed with hailco, I only bought this car 2 months ago. read more

How many cards does HailCo think I need to find jammed in the crack of my car door before I am aware of their existence? So far, the answer is not one, not two, not even three, but four. Yes- my car got absolutely nailed by the massive hail. No I will not be using HailCo's services. It turns out my insurance company has it handled. I even called this company and asked them to stop putting these stupid cards on my car, but it was fruitless. The person I spoke to made almost no effort to even pretend to take my request seriously (he asked only my make and model). This is basically littering, and a waste of time and money. HailCo is a decent choice for hail repair in the Denver Metro area. I brought them my BMW & you would never know anything happened to it. However, I would recommend waiting until they are in their slow season. They will pay deductible and get you a rental car, which is why I am not completely upset about the slow turn around of 5 weeks. Matt facilitated and updated me throughout the process. They did leave a huge scratch my car door, but were thankfully able to buff it out. I was pressured into leaving this very honest review, which I find to be somewhat unprofessional. I was a little hesitant at first when approached in the parking lot by an employee from HailCo. He asked if I was thinking about fixing the hail damage on my Acura and while I'd been thinking about it for some time I just hadn't because I didn't want to deal with insurance and the trouble. I gave him my number and then got a little worried about doing so. However, I got a call within 24 hours and the process began and I never had to deal with my insurance company. HailCo took care of EVERYTHING making the repairs and dealing with my insurance promptly. I was notified by text every step of the way. They put me in a rental car for the week and I was good to go. Superior customer service! Jose went above and beyond to offer requests and even met me at my vehicle, on his day off, to retrieve a tripod that I needed for my wedding! The vehicle was emaculate. The hail damage was significant and they did a fantastic job! The whole team appeared to be invested in the process of getting be back on the road by working on a rental, contacting insurance, AND notifying me with enough time for me to schedule to pick up after work. 50 STARS!!! You would of thought i had $10,000 worth of repairs by the way Hailco put me on a pedestal. But i had minimal work that needed to be done. Will was my go to guy and even when he was away on a personal vaca, my text messages never went unanswered and always quickly with my questions or concerns answered and explained in ways my auto insurance struggled to do. Hailco not only gave me a free rental car but the company( including the manager) did all the leg work ...besides swapping cars when mine was done , they came to me and at my conveince. Comparible price...lets just say im not familar with the over all cost of hail repair but i do know my deductible was not an issue and they did all the handling of my insurance claim. FIVE STARS!!! There were many positive aspects of my experience. I initially got a call within two hours of my initial inquiry to get two cars repaired from a nasty hail storm. I was able to get in the next morning and start the process with Brandon, who was fantastic through the whole experience. He was able to help get my claims combined with the insurance company so I only had to cover one deductible, which led to zero out of pocket after the $500 deductible credits for each car. They facilitated rental pickup, car inspections and quick repair. All of which were pluses. My insurance adjuster sent me the completed inspection on Wednesday and two days later on Friday I got the call that the cars were done. "Wow!" I thought. Quick and efficient. Respectful of my time and business. I was so impressed. My main desires in the car repair process were quality and timeliness. One of which was met. When I drove off the lot after picking up my cars, I was completely satisfied. It wasn't until I turned on the radio on the drive home (and the next day for my second vehicle) that I realized they had sacrificed quality of work to achieve maximum speed in getting the hail repairs done. With the radio volume on less than half max volume, a ton of very noticeable rattles were coming from the headliners and some of the doors that had hail damage. It quickly became apparent that there were interior parts not secured/reinstalled correctly. Ultimate fail! I cannot listen to the radio without being bombarded by a number of loud and distracting rattles. Mind you, both vehicles are less than a year old and were in perfect condition (minus the hail dents) going into the shop. I reached out to Auto Hail Co and got no response after two attempts. Shame! Now I have had to spend two additional days taking my car to the OEM shops to get the parts correctly installed/secured. Overall, the experience and quality of hail repairs were fantastic! But the lack of care in putting the vehicle "back together" was awful and frustrating. I would have rather had them take another one, two or even seven days to complete my cars and do them right. Lesson learned: Great experience up until they get you off the lot and you'll be regretting not going through an actual certified repair facility. read more

Let's talk about Hail Co. if you seriously have hail damage. Take your car somewhere else. Preferably a body shop. the reason why you should use a body shop is because insurance and hail co will claim chips on your car, or dents around the tire area is a rock damage or previous door dings. I had my vehicle immaculate except for one little scratch on my bumper previously. After the hail storm my car suffered hail damage,dents, chips, etc. now after having my car under the care of hail co the whole process honestly was a nightmare. Let's start by the rental, they pay half your rental which seems great. Don't worry it's not much 30 on top of whatever your insurances pays. Which in Colorado it's 100 for to rent an SUV. They will pay your deductible which is nice but, let's just look at the big picture. I was approached by man named Mark Mickey he is the sales manager actually. He was in the field and caught me at my home. I brought two cars for business. A Maserati and a highlander. The highlander was the first to have the insurance adjuster come out too their shop. This is a problem I know for the future, always be present for the adjuster. Don't leave it in the hands of hail co or any company for that matter. They will skip and say this was previous damage and so on. Your not there too acknowledge what is going on. The time I was given for my car was 3-4 weeks in the shop. It took almost 5 weeks to receive my highlander back. The best part, I actually received my nephews Maserati back first. His insurance adjuster didn't come until a week after my insurance adjuster so please keep that in mind. When I called to ask how he received his car back before mine Marks respond because it was an expensive car so they bumped it up. This is where they went all wrong for me. How do you tell a customer that because one value of the car is more it was basically more important. So I ask about my car it will take another 10 days. Which it did. When I finally receive my car back it still has chips, dings, on the highlander they tell me it was previous damage. It was not from the hail. They can't do anything because insurance also didn't write it in the report. This again is why you need to be on site with the adjuster and whatever company you use. The Maserati came back with no dings but the rims were pretty scratched then when before they went in. So currently we have another insurance claim. HailCo stores the cars outside as well between working on them so they are expose to every element and if another hail storm was too come in I guess they just fix that as well? Or probably tell you it was new damage so we can't cover it. If you care about your car please take it too a real body shop where they can retouch paint, Sony's, chips etc. where they went try and get over on fixing the damage. Plus just know your car will be slowed down if they feel they get a VIP or your car that is worth more then your car value. It takes an extremely long time to get your car back. If you get approached by any sales agents from any of these hail companies know they are not body shops. They don't paint. Your car will still come out with some type of nick and they will say they can't cover it because that's not hail damage. read more

While I personally haven't received any service from this company, I was approached by a man today trying to sell me on it. First of all, my car has no hail damage, as I haven't been in any hail storm or experienced any hail since buying the car, so him telling me not once, not twice, but three times that my car has hail damage on the "back hood" (pretty sure it's normally called a trunk for anyone confused) was not only obnoxious, but a straight up lie. When I told him three times that I do not have hail damage he continuously argued with me about it. The only reason I took the damn card from him was so that I could remember the company name to leave a one star review on all the websites that allow me to leave reviews on companies. However my one star review isn't solely because this man couldn't for the life of him just walk away, it's because as a 25 year old woman who was trying to go home, having some strange man approach me while I'm sitting in my car in a target parking lot OR ANY PARKING LOT is NOT OKAY. So happy with the service and quality of work that HailCo did on my Subaru after it got bombarded with golf ball sized hail in July. When I first got hit with the hail storm I was devastated, I still had temp tags on my new bmw! I've never had hail damage on my vehicle so I wasn't sure how to go about the repairs and I didn't know anything about the process. Wow, this process really could not have been made any easier for me. Kevin approached me at the Target parking lot he noticed that my car had hail damage, something that I knew but had not wanted to deal with. From there, it was hassle free. Kevin came by my home at a scheduled time, helped me file the claim with my insurance and even took the car to the shop for me. A rental car was offered, but I did not need it. Coming from a non-hailing state, I was a little concerned about the damage to my car this summer and with so many hail companies in the area, I was overwhelmed. I finally called Hailco because I received a flyer on my car advertising no out of pocket expenses, which they lived up to. From start to finish, this company was so accommodating and professional. From coming to my house for the initial estimate, to picking me up and dropping me off at enterprise for my rental car, to letting me know what's going on every step of the way, they really went above and beyond and made an otherwise stressful experience into a pleasant one. When I finally got to pick up my car, it looked brand new again without any evidence of a hailstorm. They had detailed it as well so it was super clean. It looked exactly as it had before the hail damage, if not better. I can't say enough good things about Hailco. I could not recommend this company enough, especially Dan. I was skeptical at first because they left a note on my car at my apartment, and I usually don't like dealing with car things, but everything turned out great. They were able to cover most of my deductible, provide a rental car, and they were always convenient. They met me at work, after hours, etc. and were always totally fine with my crazy schedule and weekend/late night texts and calls. They dealt with my insurance which is something I would not want to do, and they always kept me up to date on the progress of my car. As like lost of the reviews, I had hail damage on my car for almost a year and just didn't do anything about it, my car I leased so I knew I was in my best interred to get it fixed! Luckily for me Hail Co found me and before I knew it I dropped my car off, they expedited my repairs because I didn't have rental car insurance, a few days later I picked up my car, good as new, no out of pocket cost for me. It was amazing, sounded to good to be true, but I would recommend anyone of my family or friends to Hail Co. They even took extra time to buff out a scratch I had on my hood that had been there for a while, not related to the hail damage, right before I left. I got caught in two big hail storms in Denver this summer and had major damage. The first body shop I went to told me they couldn't get me in until January. I debated waiting until fall/winter to avoid another storm when I got a flier from Hailco. They got my car in quickly and did a great job repairing all the damage on my Acura. Plus, I didn't have to pay my deductible and got a nice detailed car in return. I got Rich's number off of a card he left on my wife's car that had pretty bad hail damage. It was a lease and we didn't want to get it fixed right away just in case another hail storm happened before the end of the lease resulting in two separate claims. Two years later right before the lease ended we gave him a call. Honestly, I was expecting the insurance not to pay because we are currently with a different company and there was no way to prove when it happened. Rich handled absolutely everything, the only thing we had to do was meet him at the rental car place and pick up the car when it was done. They dealt with the insurance company and everything else. Beware of Halico, If I could I would give this company double 00 for STARS!! I had the worst experience with this company from the salesman to the manager. I dropped my truck off June 6 the work was supposed to be complete in 7-10 business days. I picked my car up today August 10, 2019, I received a text 7/1 stating my vehicle was looking good everything was done and that they were waiting on a couple more parts to put on and my vehicle would be ready for pick at the beginning of the week after the holiday. A week went by, I didn't hear anything from them so my husband and myself went to Halico to check on my truck. Went around the back, my truck is backed up to the fence and nothing had been done to my truck!! Not only that. This company also let my vehicle get hit by 2 other hailstorms on their lot, but my insurance paid for it. My insurance company sent me the check for the original estimate with my name as well as the finance compies name on it. The salesman called my insurance without my permission and canceled my check and had the check made out to Hailco. Then had my insurance company screen shoot them a copy of the new check made out to Hailco and stated that was good enough to release my truck. When I went to pick up my vehicle is wasn't on their lot no one knew where my car was. They wouldn't tell me where it was I called the police the police wouldn't make them tell me where it was they said I would have to take them to court. They have been hiding my car for over 2 weeks and the car was TOTALLY PAID FOR! Went to get my car today work not complete, underneath the hood not painted all the way. Someone's personal GAS CAN behind my passenger seat with GAS in it. They backed my car up into something chipped paint of the bumper, big shoe prints in my passenger seat where they were stepping on my seat. Passenger seat layed all the way back, white paint all over my engine. White paint in between doors, passenger door squeaking. White paint on interior roof of car. Also used touch up paint on driver door it is so thick it looks like primer. Oh and they stole my Ray Ban Sunglasses when I dropped of my car off 6/6 my sunglasses were in my console. On 7/6 when I went to check on my car the sunglasses were on my dash they are in all the pictures that I took of my truck that day because no work had been done. Now they are gone!! I could go on and on about a whole lot this company did. Oh they also lied to my insurance company that my windshield was cracked to get a rental car and my windshield looks brand new, doesn't have a single crack or chip in it. I had used HailCo for damage to my car after a hailstorm. I live in the Springs, but heard very good reviews for this company & they travel to wherever you are! Also, working in insurance I am Very particular. I met with Josh at my home who did the initial inspection. Michael had met me at Enterprise to pick up my car as I got my rental. Update: Hailco's reply is inaccurate and fly's in the face of Colorado laws against deceptive auto-repair practices. They should be investigated. I was never billed for the amounts that I was originally told I would owe (for storage and inspection), but I cannot be sure if that is because of my review- if I hadn't complained, I can't be sure they wouldn't have billed me. These guys took care of everything! They met me at my work to take a look at the car, scheduled a rental for me & worked hard to change locations for pick up last minute. Everything was done timely. They were always available by phone or text. It took about a week to fix my Subaru crosstrek that had damage on just about every panel. Just got my car back, and it looks great! Matt and Josh were so helpful, knowledgeable and professional in helping me understand the process, working with my insurance, and making sure the work done was quality and timely.
