The girl who did my nails was very gentle and sweet and for the most part my gel did ok except for 3 nails that started peeling one week in. I ended up having to redo just those 3 at another location because I couldn't stand looking at them in this condition and am hoping to get 3 weeks out of the set. Fair prices and nice people but it just didn't hold up like other places do. read more

I haven't been back since it was still Green Papaya but I think it's a great improvement. The place looks brighter and more welcoming. The new owner and his wife are very nice and friendly. While doing my gel nails, he told me of all of his remodeling plans and it was nice to hear how ambitious but realistic he was. My gel mani was neat and even. He finished them quickly without cutting corners. What was even more amazing was when he was cutting the skin around my nail, he cut them off in one, thin, long piece! It was like that cool trick you can do when peeling an apple in one piece. I was very impressed! The woman who did my pedi was quiet and did not talk much but she was just as quick, neat and efficient. The prices are reasonable but their menu is confusing to decipher. Bonus: they have little bags of chips to snack on for free. Overall service is definitely 5 stars. 4 stars for decor but I'm sure that will soon change. I would give them 4.5 if I could. read more

By far the BEST nail salon I have ever been to!!!!! I have been going here for about 2 years now (thanks to my sister-in-law) and have never turned back. The entirety of the staff is very friendly and always make you feel comfortable. Liena, Leon and Susy are absolutely amazing and really take the time to make sure their clients are happy with their job. I have gone to Liena and Leon and they always do such a great job from gel to acrylic you will always get an amazing set of nails. They are so nice and personable and just wonderful people. I've been coming here for a few months and I'm hooked. I usually have my nails done by Lena and I'd rather come here and wait a few minutes than take a chance at any new places in the area. They do a great job and everyone is very friendly. They're pretty fast and I've rarely had to wait more than 10 minutes without an appointment. Prices are very reasonable, so if you're not in love with the quality that you're getting elsewhere, stop by and give this place a try. read more

I was able to pop in for a regular manicure before noon on a weekday with no wait. My nail tech was nice and helped me choose a color (OPI's Midnight in Moscow). The whole experience was good, but I docked one star because I didn't like the top coat that she used. It didn't dry very well and even the smallest bumps caused my nails to dent. However, I was able to prevent further damage by applying a coat of Sally Hansen Diamond Flash top coat when I got home. So far so good! Parking: I parked on the street but I saw signs in the store that said you could park next door (behind the donut shop) as long as it is against the wall by the dumpster. read more

This place rocks! I'm so glad I found this nail salon. I love having my nails manicured at all times, I'm constantly changing colors and I can be picky about how my nails look, so finding this nail place was a hit! They have a huge selection of Gel nail colors...its all about options!! Comfy spa chairs, sugar scrub, warm lotion and a warm towel, (makes you wanna just take a little nap), sweet employees and owners who actually remember your name and who you are...it's nice to be remembered, right!? Prices are great for the services they provide. My gel manicure turns out immaculate all because of Leon's attention to detail....what more could I ask for! Lena is the only one who can shape my nails properly! She always takes her time and makes sure they look perfect! I never feel rushed and if I have to wait a few minutes, they are very polite about it. They also have A LOT of colors to choose from. I usually get a Gel Manicure and love the gel color selection. I've been coming here for about 2 years and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Lenas gel manicures are the best I have ever seen, from the way she cleans the cuticles to the way she files the nails. For my pedicures Anna always leaves my feet looking so clean and feeling fresh and I love the way she shapes my toe nails. They are always so nice and always trying to fit you in to work around your schedule. Definitely the best nail salon in town! read more

When it comes to my nails getting done, I get tend to get picky. I work in Monrovia and around the area quite often. I've been to other nail places in the area, but now I've found my spot, besides the one I would go to when I'm in my neighborhood. Found this place on yelp with all the good reviews, and they are all true! The location might be a little hard to find parking, but the service I got was just exceptional. I came in for a fill and to get two nails replaced. The wait was not long, only because there were only 4 people working at the time and they were already with other clients at the time, their polish selection is great (they carry opi, Chiba glaze, essi), and their overall service when they did my nails was excellent read more

Ok, so I hadn't been in here a few months because I moved but today after work, I decided to stop in to get my eyebrows waxed. When I walked in, they were about to close and so I figured "Ok better luck next time" I mentioned I only needed my eyebrows done and then walked out. Right after I walked out, the woman that was there came after me and offered to do my eyebrows since thats all I needed done. I thought that was fantastic considering they mentioned they had somewhere to be. Every time I come in here, I have had a great experience and have always felt very welcome. read more

Liena and Leon are so great at what they do and i'm always satisfied at how my nails turn out. they'll never try to up-sell you with something that might not work out for you. they're upfront and honest with customers. nails last forever, prices are great, place is super clean. they really stick to public health guidelines (masking, sanitizing, clean tools). read more

After trying quite a few nail salons in the nearby cities this is my favorite spot. Fair prices, quality work and professional atmosphere. I get my nails done at least twice a month so a great nail place is very important to me. When I get my nails done here they never crack or break off and the color selection they have available is pretty good. Highly reccomend read more

Walked into this nail salon earlier today. It was a slow day and Leon accommodated me right away without an appt. I had a very bad experience prior to coming here so I was very hesitant about getting my nails done anywhere else. After viewing their Yelp reviews I figured I would give them a try. zero stars!!!!…read more absolutely furious. absolutely outraged. absolutely disgusted. my sweet, respectful, polite, shy young daughter went into this salon expecting a peaceful, relaxing nail appointment. instead, she was completely ignored, bulldozed, pressured, overcharged, and treated with a shocking level of disrespect. we called ahead and specifically made an appointment for dip nails with tips. we knew exactly what we wanted. we requested dip nails with tips multiple times. there was no confusion. after putting on the tips, the technician proceeded to apply gel x instead. we immediately spoke up and corrected her. not once. multiple times. we said dip nails. we called for dip nails. my daughter asked for dip nails. instead of listening to the paying customer, this woman looked us in the eyes with her beyond evil bad energy and argued with us and tried to tell us what we should want. she acted as if our opinion didn't matter and as if she had the right to override the service we specifically booked and were paying for. how dare you look us into the eyes with your beyond evil eyes,bad energy eyes and soul and ignore a customer's request over and over again? how dare you decide you know better than the person paying for the service? as if that wasn't enough, the technician also made my daughter's nails much longer than she asked for. my daughter specifically requested a shorter length, but her request was completely ignored. when we asked for them to be shortened, the technician refused. what makes this even more infuriating is that this happened to a sweet, shy, respectful young girl. her kindness was taken for weakness. her politeness was taken as permission to steamroll right over her. she was completely disregarded while an adult continued doing whatever she wanted. we should have walked out the second she ignored our requests. the only reason we stayed was because she had already glued the tips on my daughter's nails and we felt put in a position where we had no choice but to continue. looking back, i regret not getting up and leaving right then and there, even if the job wasn't finished. no customer should ever be made to feel trapped into a service they did not want simply because the technician decided to proceed against their wishes. we clearly stated what we wanted multiple times, yet our requests were completely dismissed. once the tips were already applied, it felt like the decision had been taken out of our hands. that is not how paying customers should be treated. then to add insult to injury, we were charged even more, $60 instead of the $50 we were told over the phone when we made the appointment for dip with tips! we were charged extra for a service we did not want, did not request, and tried to stop multiple times. and the part that makes me even angrier? we actually left a tip. we should not have. after being completely disrespected, overridden, violated, robbed, and ripped off, we still left a tip out of decency, a decency that was never shown to us in return. a nail appointment is supposed to be relaxing. it is supposed to be a treat. instead, this experience left us feeling violated, robbed, manipulated, and completely disrespected as paying customers. please do not spend your hard earned money here unless you want your requests ignored, your voice dismissed, violated, robbed, and your wallet emptied for services you never asked for. i have never been so angry after a nail appointment in my life. watching my sweet, respectful, polite, shy daughter be treated this way filled me with a level of rage that words can barely express. this was completely unprofessional, completely unacceptable, and absolutely disgraceful. shame on this salon.

Since I wasn't getting color, I expected her to at least pay attention to the shape of my nails, but I felt there was very little attention to detail. I politely asked twice if she could shape them more evenly, and both times she responded with noticeable attitude. By the second time, she seemed visibly annoyed, so I decided to let it go rather than make the interaction more uncomfortable. I left unhappy with my manicure. She also left my hands oily from the cuticle product, which made the service feel unfinished. The pedicure technician was lovely, but the manicurist's attitude and behavior made the experience uncomfortable enough that I won't be returning.
