I am experiencing hair loss, the cause is not definite. But it is ongoing, and according to doctors probably will not improve (just the opposite). So I went in and asked if I could make a consultation for a custom wig. The next week I met "N", who showed me a "hair topper" , think hairpiece with clips that blends into your hair. It was a piece that was available right then, It was beautiful, right color, quality real natural hair. But it was not quite enough hair and if she cut it for me- it was mine, I'd have to pay for it. I was willing to wait and pay for custom. The prices she quoted were reasonable, and I was glad to have something exactly right for me and my low hairline ( no bangs). I was so happy when I left I tried to tip her ( she's one of the owners?) , or buy her a coffee/pastry next door. This is where it all crashed. "N" gave me her cell number: "call me next week, I have something coming in I think will be right for you ". 3 calls over a month, she was never available. Finally, last phone call, she told me to come in later today. Like just later, no appointment. When I arrived, of course she was busy with someone else. I was happy to wait, not offered chair or water etc. She brought out a hair topper that was smaller than the original one! I reminded her, no bangs. The color was dark! "N" said she can dye and cut it. It was a completely different experience than the first time. She seemed very cold , and aggravated with me. This salon was not a warm inviting environment the first time either, no one shows you where to sit or offers you anything. But this time I felt humiliated. Im in a very vulnerable state. And it was so uncomfortable to look in the mirror, at this horrible thing on my head. She was very dismissive of the idea of another topper or wig. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.I'm so disappointed. I have photos of myself from the first consultation and I naively thought "N" would help me. I feel worse now, I wish I never walked in. I am so interested to hear other's experiences. I'm so confused about mine.

I am super overprotective about my hair and I. D.o.n.t let anyone touch it. My last hair lady who did my highlights (I went to her the first time I ever dyed my hair and I continued going to her) she was good but the problem was the she was damaging my beautiful curls. My natural hair color is black and when I went back to her to touch up my highlights she would dye my hair all back to black again and then out the cap to create my highlights. Your face probably looks crazy as you read this but yes! Can you believe it ! Now I have long hair and I am TERRIFIED, PETRIFIED AND ABSOLUTELY SCARED OF SCISSORS! to the point that I hadn't trimmed my ends since last June! But a little curly hair angel heard my prayer and sent this Beautique my way! Jen is the absolute best! And Jen if you're reading this I absolutely trust you with my hair blindfolded (just no scissors) haha! Anywhos... I went for a consult and although my hair had gone through Hell Jen said that my hair was healthy and she wanted to do a color correction and length correction as well. The pics that are posted are a great before and after picture ! Crazy part is that my hair color didn't look so crazy because of the shrinkage. But anyways Jen really helped me ease my anxiety of being a first time customer. The color came out amazing and her attention to detail is simply amazing! If you want something done correctly and professionally then you have to also be ready to pay. As I said at the beginning of this post I'm very overprotective about my hair. My bank statements are all about my food and hair, so now you have a better idea! But anyways ... my old lady would charge me $80-90 to destroy my curls and this double process, treatment, blow out and VIP experience was $300. Let me tell you, well worth it and I'm so happy to know that my curls are safe and bounces at Blush Beautique!
