Katie did my hair in Portland and I miss her everyday. I have really fine dark brown hair and knew I would have to find a magician to take me to blonde. Katie took me from dark, dark brown to blonde and kept my hair healthy!!! She's a genius with hair and she's also a delight to chat with. She taught me how to style my hair and gave me the best advice on maintaining my hair's integrity while styling it after bleaching. After a while I decided to go back to brown and Katie was able to dye my hair so it would grow out and still look good. I recently moved to Oregon and was searching for an artist who is an expert with color. I'm a brunette and I like blonde with pink, purple or sometimes turquoise, highlights. Well, I found that expert when I found Katie! She listens to what you want, she's great at communicating and she definitely knows her stuff. Katie is great! She takes the time at the beginning of your session to ask what you're looking for and your desired outcome for that session. Most importantly, she asked me, after telling her I didn't love what my old stylish did, what exactly it was like I didn't like about the outcome. She gave me a "game plan" of what we'd be working on that day and what we could works towards in the future. She took her time through the process, which we filled with wonderful conversation about our pets, home remodels, and travel. She is also very COVID-responsible (mask required, wash hands, sanitized equipment, etc.) and makes sure you're comfortable throughout your time at the studio.
