This salon is truly amazing at hair extension and everything I've seen them do while having my own hair done. They color matched my hair to perfection and my hair is so short and thin I honestly thought I couldn't be helped. I've gone back now for the removal and another round of extensions. I was treated poorly here and I feel discriminated against. I arrived a few minutes early for my hair apt along with my daughters hair appt. the owner made us wait outside after giving us these awkward weird looks. Wasn't welcoming or inviting. Then while we are sitting outside in the heat, her son who I had an appt with is late. Meanwhile I arrive early with kids with my work laptop. Then when he arrives he has no idea he's late and I asked if he can do our hair all he is doing is throwing prices at us. I know how much it costs and wasn't asking for prices. Then he told us all three of us customers can not go in at the same time. I'm assuming they expected me to leave my children unattended outside in the heat? I just couldn't take it anymore. Why would I give my money to a business who just treated me as such? Then when I'm leaving the business owner calls me and explains that the kids can sit in a back room but by then I'm already gone. She did apologize for the misunderstanding but there was NO misunderstanding!!! She knew she made us leave her business and sit outside while we wait for her late son. I have been visiting Jazba Salon for over the past year now, maybe even two! I love to get my hair pampered by Rachel! I seriously always leave this salon feeling Hollywood glamour and am able to style it similarly at home also. I appreciate that the styling you get here is something also realistic to achieve at home. I love the environment of this salon, it's so chic and it's very much somewhere I enjoy being at! The other stylists are always friendly too when I've had the chance to interact with them. Jazba Salon is conveniently located with easy parking spots just behind Dandy's off 3rd Street. Right now their COVID-19 policies make me feel confident that I can be able to enter and receive my service without any extra worry, everyone seems to be doing their part when it comes to the safety precautions. I had a wonderful experience at Jazba Salon. It's so cozy and cute and you feel right at home right when you walk in. Rachel did such an amazing job on my hair. I went in for a balayage but had the most stubborn red tone in my hair from a recent Manic Panic dye (don't recommend it ladies). She worked with me over two appointments to fade out the red and I walked out with a subtle and beautiful blended balayage that was exactly what a wanted. Definitely recommend this salon. This was my first visit to this salon and I really enjoyed it. Great ambience, lighting, and location. I've had Melanie cut and style my hair at another location before she moved to Jazba, and she's wonderful! My hair always grows nicely so I can go a long time between cuts. I had about 5 inches cut off this time and I am very happy with how it looks. Plus, I always enjoy catching up with Melanie. Don't ever go here! Not if you value your time, or want to say anything about how you want your hair cut, nor if you don't want to be snooty-vibed, nor if you don't like being insulted, nor if you like businesses to keep their promises and honor the schedules they make. I called for the first time to get an appointment for a haircut and highlights, and when I got there, saw a sign to text when you arrive. I texted and waited TWENTY FIVE MINUTES before I was able to signal someone that I was there waiting outside. THe hair stylist who I had the appointment with was running late and I was told he had a migraine. Everyone acted totally nonchalant about the fact they'd kept someone waiting outside in the heat for so long without even acknowledging their presence. Then the owner, Christine, sent down a message that she would come in and do my hair instead. I waited at least another half hour before she came downstairs. When I began to tell her what kind of a cut I wanted, she spoke coolly and borderline insultingly about not wanting to do a cut and be "micromanaged", basically telling me to shut up about the result I was looking for or give up having my hair cut by her that day at all. A couple of the stylists then mentioned an excuse that they were having "a really bad day." I politely acquiesced and said okay, I'll trust you, let's go ahead and do the cut. I spoke to her at times during the cut, cheerfully and politely, and I was even complimenting her sincerely, and the cut did turn out very well. I also did her the favor of letting her know she could skip the highlights that day, so she could go ahead with her family plans for the evening. She promised me I could be fit in during the coming week for the highlights. After I left, I realized that she had left my shampoo and conditioner I'd brought with me, and my hairband just laying about in her station, instead of making sure I got them back. I was charged $65 for the cut and the mistreatment, but I went ahead and tipped $10 anyway. Come the next business day when I called to see if they could find my things and to schedule the highlight appointment, I was told I had to wait for the owner to come back in order to schedule it. When I reached the salon later, when the owner was present, I was told, oh so sorry, we can't possibly fit you in this week and we're booked through July or August... I said the owner had said I could be fit in, since I gave up the highlights at the first appointment, out of politenes. But when the person checked with the owner, I was told she said there was no way she could do my highlights! So this salon basically promises things they will never do, and then act like it doesn't matter if they've broken their promise or kept you hanging. They have no manners or politeness at all. They are apparently so popular that they think they don't have to care about how rude or unclear or late or inefficient they are with customers. But that's not even the end of the story. I knew I needed to book in advance if I wanted to get my next cut from the same person, which I thought I could stand even though they'd been so rude, (because who likes to have to find a new haircutter after finding someone who does your hair right) so I asked to set up an appointment with Christine for my next haircut 6 or 8 weeks later. They said book it online. Then, they actually called me back to say Christine said SHE didn't think it would be a "good fit" for her to cut my hair again. OMG!!! Who IS this person??? Who died and made her the Queen of anything??? I was a new customer, waited an unreasonable time to be served, ignored being insulted, stayed polite, didn't complain about all the problems that were their responsibility, not mine, and yet I was treated like I had somehow broken their snotty little secret club rules, and so wasn't allowed in their cute little clubhouse anymore. They belong in LA or NY where people are comfy with snotty attitude in cute little salons. So, don't go to this salon if: 1 - you value your time, 2 - if you want to be able to say anything about how you want your hair, 3 - if you have any self-respect and don't like being insulted, 4 - if you don't want to hear promises that won't be kept. Beautifully designed salon took my dried hair and made is silky again. My husband was thrilled! I splurged for the conditioning treatment. Well worth the $25. This salon is tucked away and is a beautiful oasis. I'm a recent transplant from San Francisco. Jazba salon is beautifully designed with inlaid wood, brass and luxe grey chairs. I saw that they carried Davines Product line just like my previous salon. My stylist, Christine talked to me about my skull shape and why my hair puffs into a mushroom head! she had so much information to share. Finally the answer I was looking for!! The stylist next to me produced the most gorgeous shade of blonde on his client. I'm so excited to find this place, but afraid it's going to get swamped the more people know about it. I've been to hairdressers who've had trouble understanding what I'm looking to accomplish; not Alicia. You want it left long, it's left long. You want it cut off for a new look, off it goes. I should have posted this much sooner but better late than never. I am new to the Bend area and have been in desperate need of locking down a new stylist. I was with my previous person for almost 20 years so this was a hard move. If you add in Covid and the fact that I decided to grow out my signature super short hair I was already in unfamiliar waters. I had one cut and color at another salon (no need to bash) and it was awful. Worst haircut of my life. I rode it out thinking maybe I was averse to change but nope, it really was that bad. I was then referred to Dustin at Jazba. I sent a message, really pushing my luck by asking him to fit me in before I travelled and he had a cancellation and was able to get me in two days after I contacted him. I was so happy when I walked in to the salon. It is beautiful, filled with light and not at all pretentious. Dustin ran his hands through my hair and without me telling him I thought the cut terrible he politely let me know he thought the same. He did so in such a nice manner that I never felt foolish. He then proceeded to give me the best haircut I have ever had, even better than my stylist of 20 years! Can't say enough good things about both him and the salon.
