Don't come here for a blow out, maybe for other services but not a blow out . I knew I was in the wrong place when she didn't section off my hair and leave the brushes inside. And she never asked me what kind of blow out I wanted. My blow outs take around 90 minutes and I was in there within less than an hour. There's a place that specializes in blow outs in the same plaza, I'm beating myself up for not going there instead. It just looks like I got my hair straightened !!!! Like why would I pay $70 just to get my hair straightened. She asked to use the flat iron and I said yes because I could tell the way she rounded my hair with the brush wasn't going to hold . In the end, when I seen it looked like all I did was get my hair straightened, I asked her to flip my ends, she didn't even know what I meant by that, I thought that's what she was doing when she was going over my hair with the flat iron. I was so over it at that point. There's a section of my hair that's still damped. This is supposed to be for my birthday . I am so pissed. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. I'm honestly a lil offended like do I look like I don't know how to wash my hair and straighten it myself ? Why would I make an appointment for that? read more

Danielle is now my go to for my hair! I love my experience with her from taking good care of my cut and balayage to giving me such a relaxing and comfortable experience. She gives quality outcome/service without overcharging. I took a chance on a Groupon purchase and I love that she was uprfont with additional costs but only charged what is reasonable/provided. Her personality and professionalism are amazing. I finally found my hairstylist here in San Diego - no need for groupons to keep trying/finding stylists. Can't wait for my next hair care with her. I got my haircut by Danielle through Groupon. When I got home, I was really able to see my cut. My bangs were ridiculously short and the front layers on my left side does not flow. Bought a Groupon with Daniella and she tries to up charge you on every little thing on top of the Groupon price. Charges extra for longer hair (mine is 3in past shoulder) and even charges extra to blow dry. I wasn't going out that day so I opted out of the blow dry and she had me leave with WET HAIR! I guess I can understand if you want to charge extra for styling my hair after a cut but I have NEVER left a salon with wet hair and little hair clippings all over my face and clothes. She wasn't very detailed and probably spent only about 15 minutes cutting my hair and it came out uneven when I did blow dry it. read more

Experience during COVID. I don't throw 5's out very often but I truly can't think of anything wrong with my experience!! I recently had a baby and pregnancy makes your hair amazing and thick and it grows super fast. Unfortunately postpartum makes soooo much hair fall out. My hair was a bit too long and needed a level of care and commitment I couldn't give it and I knew it was going to start falling out soon so once salons opened up, I needed to go. I only get my hair cut once a year and in the 4 years I've lived in San Diego, I've never had my hair cut here, I always waited for a visit back east. I reached out to my local mom group on FB and this was one of the places suggested. I did my research from the other places suggested and I knew that I would fit in best here. I was able to make my appointment online through their website and the entire process was so easy. There was a good amount of availability so I was easily able to get a spot that worked out with nap schedules. The day before my cut I got a reminder text that allowed me to cancel if need be but I was set to proceed. The salon is in a small shopping plaza near windmill farms so there is plenty of parking... a huge perk to me! I got in the salon and checked in. There are a few chair you can sit in while waiting but since only 1 other person was there and no one else was waiting I opted to stand where I was out of the way and wouldn't touch anything. The stylist who took care of me was Angelica. She was able to get me in my chair nearly right away and we discussed what I wanted. I told her long layers with facial framing. She asked me some hair questions but I was very open and honest and said I knew nothing. I didn't get my first real haircut until I was 18 and from there I get it cut maybe once a year so I really only have about 12 haircuts of experience. She was very accepting of the fact that I knew nothing and instead of asking me questions I couldn't answer and getting frustrated she started telling me things about my hair, what she was going to do, and why. We went to the washing station and got started. After washing I was brought to the salon station and the hair washing station was sprayed and thoroughly sanitized. Then Angelica got right to work on my hair. She took her time with the cut and the blow drying and I know I got a really good service. After my cut I paid and left. That's one of my favorite parts. The part where I was listened to when I said I don't get my hair cut and I don't do anything with it and then wasn't pushed to make another appointment or to buy expensive product I don't want and won't use and made to feel like crap because I'm not buying it or scheduling another appointment. I understand why salons ask these things and I'm okay with asking, it's just frustrating when places get pushy. I was so happy they didn't get pushy with me. It made me feel even better when I walked out of the salon. I feel certain I finally found my San Diego salon and now I don't need to wait until I visit the east coast to get my hair cut. I'll be back next year for my yearly cut. read more

I did not enjoy my experience with Danielle at all. She didn't introduce herself, she went down immediately to get color. Everything just felt super rushed. Never felt so rushed to get me out of the door. My haircut took a whole 2 minutes, big chunks at a time, no face framing, just super rushed. She did not try to interact with me at all, she was only talking to her coworker. She then charged me $25 more for having long hair, she did not mention this and the website did not say that either. I asked for pretty beachy curls all throughout my hair. I had one curl in front on each side and nothing in the back. I had to curl my hair when I got home. Very disappointed and will not be going back here . I never go to the salon so having this experience was a real bummer, I was not feeling good about it at all, I will not be going back here. read more

This past visit was my first and last to this salon. I booked my appointment same day, and didn't do much research on the stylists. I really just needed a hair cut that wasn't going to cost $100. Danielle was the only stylist available so I felt lucky and booked her. I did see a few other reviews (all recent) saying how great she was and how fast she gets you in and out. I know a lot of people enjoy their salon time, but I am not one of them. The salon itself was nice and in a good area. And Danielle was so great. Super sweet, good conversation etc. When it came to the cut, I was happy when I left with it curled. When I got home and washed it, it was clearly very uneven. One side was about an inch longer than the other. She only looked at the reference photo for a brief moment. My hair is way shorter than what I asked for. I went in with long enough hair to make that cut happen. And the "layers" are pretty non existent and choppy. I had to cut my own hair to fix the length but will definitely have to pay to have the rest of the cut fixed. I was in and out in 30 minutes. That included a wash and blow dry/curl. No exaggeration. It just didn't feel like there was much care put into my haircut. Looks like I'll be paying $100+ to get my hair cut after all. read more
