Angel is my stylist, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm use to being a customer of small single owner salons, those days are long gone. One day a couple years ago I needed a haircut my hairdresser could fit me in her busy schedule which was out of the norm. I decided to go to hair cuttery as it is close by. Now mind you I'd heard previous how good Angel was. I am very picky about my hair. I make all my appointments online , never had to wait longer than maybe 10 minutes, but Angel always comes through with the best cut. I can wash my hair dry it and it goes right into the style she cut. She tolerates my pickiness and questions about my hair even though they are the same questions asked over and over. I went in with hair down to my butt. I left with a pixie, bowl cut.... I asked just above my shoulders, I have NOTHING in the back... This isn't a drastic change for me, i had it cut earlier the year (by someone else) who cut it perfectly above my shoulders. (it grew out fast) I go here, I even showed pics of a WOLF CUT WITH SIDE BANGS... and Left with a bowl cut in the front, and a pixie in the back... I'm so heart broken, and I feel so ugly. read more

I've been going to this hair cuttery for years. It's always been pretty solid. Then again, all I get a regular hair cut and nothing too crazy. One of the best parts about this hat cuttery is the location. If you come in during a busy time and you have to wait for like 30 minutes or so, you can just go next door and grab some food at subway or ledos. You can even roam around giant. They also Have about 7-8 chairs if you want to sit and wait. After you sit down, like a regular haircut place, they ask what kind of cut you want and try their best to accommodate. Never really had a bad experience here. The price last time I went was $18 for a normal Cut and shampoo. Just to reiterate, this review if for the regular haircut only and nothing else!! read more

I am an African American female and I was scared of anyone cutting my natural hair but I was in for a pleasant surprise. Ashley washed, conditioned, blow dried and cut my hair and she did an awesome job!!! She listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions putting me at ease. absolutely terrible, no one in there knows how long an inch is. I ask for a simple trim, one that is still long, and only one inch off the back. next thing I know she is practically buzzing all my hair off, leaving me with an ugly Leonardo DiCaprio cut, when she had one simple job. Never going back, and they should be run out of business if they're employees can not tell the difference between one inch and a buzz. read more

I have never been to Hair Cuttery before and I wanted to have my hair TRIMMED before a job interview. I have a speech disability and so I was very careful when I made the appointment on the phone and when I arrived at the salon that I wanted a TRIM. not a cut. I also showed the stylist with my fingers that I wanted 1/2 inch taken off, no more. The stylist was very nice but she did not listen to what I had requested and she had cut the back of my hair up to the hairline before I could stop her ~ which was at least 2 inches, not the 1/2 inch I requested. I am angry that my request was disregarded and I will have to live with this very short, ugly and VERY cold hair cut for at least 6 weeks ~ to say nothing of how this has shaken my confidence for the job interview. I will never step foot in a Hair Cuttery again, nor recommend this establishment to my friends. This is the day after my horrible haircut and every time I look in the mirror, I become angry again. read more

URGENT UNSAFE PRACTICE COVID ALERT!!! -- AVOID TO BE SAFE! So ... they are SUPPOSED to be on an appointment schedule so there isn't any waiting in the store. Sure - I scheduled an appointment and when I showed up - they are overlapping appointments and scheduling them too close together such that I was told I'd have to wait in the lobby (where there's barely 6ft total, let alone 6ft between guests) for 20 minutes past my appointment time!!! So appointment after appointment kept coming in and there's no lobby space!!! THEN - the rude person at the desk started taking people who came in for appointment times after mine, simply because they were assigned to a particular stylist and I said in my appointment slot that I would take, "any available stylist." She claimed the clients that requested a particular stylist were prioritized over a client who was trying to be flexible and allow anyone to do their cut, even though their appointments were later. So there I stood watching appointment after appointment come in and go by me to their "selected" stylist. Do you want to know the saddest part about it?? I was planning on surprising the stylist who cut my hair with an extremely large, over-the-top tip ... thinking it would be a little bit of a help to make up for all the time that they missed out on working during the COVID closure. I wanted to do something nice, but was treated rotten! As a result ... I finally grew tired of waiting and left the store without a haircut. I have had very few racial attack in my life and was not expecting this one. However at this haircutters I was over charged just because I am black. She told me the change in price was due to having textured hair. My hair is permed straight! Despite the fact that I was charged regular price last time. I've been to this Hair Cuttery a couple of times and each time it has been ok. I've gone right after school has let out and there hasn't been a line or a long wait, and I'm always a fan of that. I'll continue to go back because it is convenient. My one caveat is that they openly talk about customers and make fun of them after they leave. I walked in and the 2nd thing I noticed was that all the chairs in the waiting area were taken, which wouldn't have been an issue if it weren't for the first thing I noticed which was that when I initially opened the door everyone in the waiting area including the staff at the front all stopped what they were doing and stared like I had just walked in pants less. Went in on a whim, a full hour before closing. Waited a few minutes to be greeted - while the employees yelled at each other across the salon, almost enough to make me walk back out alone. When finally asked what I would like done, I asked for a cut and blow dry, to be told that because they close in an hour, I can only get a cut. Now, I did see the sign on the door about the last perm, but nothing about the last blow dry. Seems pretty arbitrary and more than likely just laziness. The fake sweetness of the woman at the register when I was told "sorry, baby, but come back at 9 tomorrow" was more than enough to ensure I'll never return. read more

I did a walk in on Valentine's Day. They were super busy and I had a wait for an hour and a half. There is room for improvement here, two stylists got finished with their current cilents and sat around for a full five minutes if not longer and then left the store. In this time they could have called back the little child that was waiting very patiently and gotten him taken care of. But I'm not sure of the stores policy. Just a suggestion. Now my stylist was Win, she was a super sweetheart and my hair looks amazing. I got a shampoo, cut and dry and even bought one of the products she used. Suggestions for future Customers, make an appointment(especially if it's for children) and try to be simple and easy on the ladies cutting your hair. read more

I've had lots if experience here with multiple stylists. They'll all done a great job. However, I LOVE Kristen! I highly recommend her to everyone. She just highlighted my hair. It took her over three hours to achieve the look I wanted. She did an amazing job! She's so awesome when it comes to color! I did a walk in for Keratin treatment on my hair. That was a big mistake. It was not properly done and the outcome looked a mess. Within two days, my hair reverted to thick and frizzy. I went to another salon and they dd a better job with my hair. Its been three weeks since I went to the other salon and the keratin treatment is still active in my hair and no frizz. read more

Some of the workers here are really good at what they do, but others should not work there. The first time I went there my hair was uneven when I walked out. I only noticed when I got home. -___- The next time I went there I got a lady who just rushed through the haircut. My hair looks so bad.
