As a guy I usually wouldn't go to a hair salon to get a hair cut but my mom has been going to see Sherene her whole life. I would go with her to the salon because at the time I was too young to stay home by myself. The atmosphere there is very welcoming and relaxing. The hair stylists and other staff is always very talkative and never make me feel awkward or uncomfortable while I am getting my hair washed or cut. Its always a very professional setting and kept really clean. Ive been to a couple barber shops in the Crofton area and it seems like they can't do exactly what I want and it doesn't have the same "homey" feel like the Hair Experience does. Sherene is also always very accommodating to my appointment requests and if she is unavailable, I will usually go to Devyn, who is also very good at cutting and styling my hair. Since I am a guy I don't think I am getting anything crazy done to my hair, It usually is just scissor cut short and clipper buzzed on my neck line. From what I have seen while being in the shop, the Hair Experience has a very diverse clientele. Ive seen both male, female, young or old. It looks like they have a very well rounded staff who always is looking to take on new clients and form...hopefully, life long bonds with them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is not only looking to get their hair cut or styled but wants to make a friend or just have a pleasant conversation. I also have a six year old who I usually bring to my appointments who is treated like a princess when she gets there. She loves going with me just so she can get the delicious Ring Pop that Sherene will always greet her when she walks in. read more

This salon is unlike the rest! Trust me I have searched a long time for a salon that could offer me a friendly, professional, and fun environment. I am very particular with what I want my hair to look like. I could not find a stylist who could create the exact color and cut I wanted until I walked into Hair Experience. Devyn worked with me in creating the perfect style ( and answered all my annoying questions with sincere interest and care). It is really nice being in a salon where u aren't pushed to buy things and the stylist isn't rushing to cut your hair so they can get to the next person. At Hair Experience they really take the time to understand what you want, and give excellent advice on how to improve your look. This is a place for both genders and all generations. Sherene at Hair Experience is the best. She was recommended by a friend and I haven't gone anywhere else since. You can take any picture of a hairstyle in and boom, she will cut it just like the picture. I have had cuts, color, foils and keratintherapy treatments, all with excellent results. In addition, the place has a nice, welcoming, family feel (many people there are family!). I recently went in for a haircut and semi-begged to see if she could also color my hair. She rearranged her schedule so that she could do so (the place was packed on this Saturday, as always). This is not the first time she's accommodated me in this way. I have been going to this salon for over a year and am very happy to report that I receive CONSISTENTLY great hair-styling, and CONSISTENTLY excellent hair color - not always easy to find and be consistently pleased with! In addition, any comment or question I have is listened to, and the follow through is very good. I have recommended this salon to several friends - all continue to go there now. Shareen, the owner, runs a shop which is very clean, well managed and the stylists are all friendly and super good at what they do. This is the best salon ever!!! I have been going to this salon for years and always walk out extremely happy with the results! Everyone in the salon is very nice and always make me feel like i am welcomed. It is a smaller salon with staff that take their time on each client and talk to you like they actually care, not just trying to make small talk. I have had color in my hair, cut, blowdry, updo, ect and I have never been dissapointed. I had my hair cut this past Thursday and had 12 inches taken off! I love my new look! Wow! Hair Experience is truly one of the jewels in Crofton, MD! What a nice atmosphere. I started coming about a year ago, and immediately felt like I was among friends. The stylists are extremely talented -- they can do anything, and they do all kinds of hair. Truly remarkable. Sherene (the owner) is the stylist for my hair, and she does an outstanding job. I had a color and cut with. The experience was great. When I arrived, everyone greeted me and made me feel comfortable. I was offered something to drink and within minutes was sitting in the stylist's chair. She was very attentive and knowledgeable. After getting a really good thorough shampoo, I was back for styling and drying. The color matched perfectly and the cut was exactly what I wanted. I have been going to the Hair Experience for a year and a half now. I have never loved my hair more than I do now!! The atmosphere is fun - there are always people to talk to. I really like how accommodating they are. I needed to come in early to have my hair done for my wedding, and they worked around my schedule. I have been a regular at Hair Experience for 8 years now and I have always had a very pleasant experience. The staff is warm and friendly and a couple of the stylists have quite the sense of humor which I really enjoy!!!! This place is a joke, went there to get my hair done and the employees here are really unprofessional, they talk about their customers,i couldnt believe the things i heard coming from their mouths, they act like they are so much better then everyone else.They are real fake! I wouldnt recommend going here if its the last place on earth and definitely wouldnt want to be an employee here either, they seem to treat them bad.I refuse to ever go back there. read more

Devyn is my stylist and she is amazing! She is a fantastic colorist - I am constantly getting stopped to find out where I get my hair done. I always feel so good when I leave the salon.
