Never ever will I or my daughter return. Teen daughter needed a haircut prior to leaving on important trip and regular stylist could not get it. I was assured that she would be in great hands with Shelly. The appointment was changed to another stylist, one with a second client with color/bleach on her hair, so she was rushed too. This Katie was a complete loss First one would ask why in the world would a stylist choose to blow dry and straighten hair that came in naturally curly, the way the client ALWAYS wears it, after snipping a little off the ends. Second, as a business owner I question when someone doesn't choose to take cards, "because they charge you a fee if I use them". One would think that it is a cost of doing business. Very unprofessional and not a positive experience. Would like my money back as it was a disasterous experience and at this point will need to be repaired next week by a PROFFESSIONAL stylist. I have to give major props to Chloe @ The Hair Gallery! I was sooo desperate to get my hair cut & have high & low lights added that I just picked her because she answered the phone & worked me in the very next week. I know, risky right? It is the best gamble I've ever taken! Chloe is amazing!! Their Salon was completely COVID compliant, from using stations that were spaced a long distance from each other to wearing face masks to only allowing clients who were ushered back to their stations & not allowing anyone else to just stand around. Chloe did a fantastic job of getting my hair back in shape, literally, & doing an amazing job of getting exactly what I asked for with my coloring. And she was fast! Truly the best two hours of my life since this whole thing started. I will definitely call her when I need my next trim & color! She is absolutely fantastic!! After moving to Bend I had to shop around for a new hair salon, tried several downtown with results that were not great. Angie at Hair Gallery is an artist, both with color and cut, I highly recommend her! Its the kind of experience where you walk out feeling great, and you can recreate that great look yourself the next day. The salon is bright and cheerful, staff are friendly. With so much to do in Bend, the last thing I want to do is spend hours upon hours at a salon getting my extremely thick hair into manageable shape. Fortunately, Kristi De Young understands the importance of a quality hair cut and color retouch and has the timing down to a science. She's always ready as soon as I enter the Hair Gallery and gets right down to business whipping my hair back into shape. I've been going to Kristi for about two years now. While I tried other salons prior to meeting Kristi, I found them to be a bit more expensive and not as focused on minimizing the amount of time sitting in the chair. Thanks, Kristi! Unreliable. Made an appointment two weeks in advance with a stylist named Jade who came highly recommended. Two days before the appt. I get a call from a different receptionist asking specifically what I want (a cut+ color consult - no color) although I indicated specifically what I wanted at the time I made the appointment 12 days before. Receptionist said ok. THIRTY MINUTES PRIOR to my scheduled appointment, I get a call from the receptionist asking if I can come in later WITH ANOTHER STYLIST. She said Jade was "sick this morning" (it was noon), so she needed to reschedule the time. I understand health issues and usually I'm pretty flexible, however canceling/rescheduling thirty minutes before an appointment is not professional in my opinion. The whole thing seems odd - wedding to attend, no hair cut after two weeks of waiting. Seriously bummed. read more

I had my hair done by Kristi DeYoung at the Hair Gallery in Bend a few weeks ago. I was quoted $225 and had saved a long time for it. The girl completely ruined my hair and I had to leave in a hurry to feed Izzy so left her a check and bailed. Just went to the bank and found out she filled in the check for $600 instead of $225!!!!! I went to the salon and they said that each hair dresser is their own business and there was nothing they could do. I have never been so horrified with a business in my life. Kristi DeYoung is a thief and a terrible hair dresser and she stole hundred from my lil family. Please pass the word - would hate for anyone else to have this happen to them frown emoticon read more

I've been going to the Hair Gallery since I was little and have seen it chang quite a bit. Since the new owner has come in the atmosphere has improved beyond belief! All the new decorative touches and the staffing. It's all around a MAJOR and very positive improvement! Not to mention Kristi Deyoung!
