Do not go to this place! The hairdresser, Kim, absolutely ignored my requests. I showed her the picture what haircut I want. She did the haircut, but 3 inches shorter than on picture, so instead of medium length hair I got short hair. I am very very dissapointed, crying for an hour in the car. Today I came here for my first time. The original plan was to just have my fiancé get his hair cut (he had come here before and he liked what they did), but it is a $25 minimum purchase for Visa/MasterCard charge. Basic men's haircut is $13 and basic woman's is $18. Not bad! The woman that did my hair, I believe it was Yvonne, did a great job at only doing what I wanted. I told her I just wanted a trim of about an inch and a trim on my bangs too. It came out exactly the way I wanted, no bells and whistles that end up costing a whole bunch extra at other places. The woman that did my fiancé's hair was also very attentive. He has recently had problems with a small area towards the back of his head where it could be short and styled to look spiky or it could grow out and be combed over with the rest of his hair. His stylist told him exactly that and he decided to have her leave it alone so it could grow out. Other stylists in the past have just cut it without asking. I'm very happy with the quality for the price, but even if it cost more, I would definitely come back! read more

It's been exactly 2 weeks and 2 days since I got an eyelash fill here by Cathy. Based on her great reviews, I expected a much better experience. I scheduled an appointment with Cathy on a Friday at 1230. I showed up a couple minutes early that day and was asked to sit and wait for Cathy to be ready. After 30 minutes of waiting for her I left. No one in the salon said anything to try to stop me. Cathy texted me asking to me to come back. When I told her I was on my way back, she sent a message saying I couldn't come back anymore, that she didn't have enough time. I was very upset, but like I said, based on her reviews I really wanted to get my lashes done by her. Anywho, we set a time for that upcoming Sunday. In person Cathy was semi-nice, she seemed a bit cold, and the entire appointment she spoke of how wonderful her other clients are. Which is nice, until she started to blab on about how well they tip. I ended up hating my lashes, and as mentioned above, it has been exactly 2 weeks and 2 days and every single lash she applied has fallen off. Sets from the other places I've been too typically last longer. Case in point: I hated my experience here. Also: yelp reviews can be very deceiving. I followed my stylist, My Tran, to this salon. She used to work in HK Salon, then at Salon De Paris but moved to Hair Plus few months ago. She's awesome--totally knowledgable and competent. I came here yesterday to get my hair permanently straighten and the results came out nicer than I imagined (thank you, My). Last year, i cheated on My and went to a random salon I found on Yelp to try the digital perm...it came out looking like a disaster and it damaged my hair texture. I guess it depends on the person, but he has wavy/curly hair and not a lot of the hair dressers know how to cut it. Came here to get my eyelash extensions. Cathy was very nice and did a good job on my eyelashes. She has you lay on a bed and then she plays some relaxing music and I eventually fell asleep. The entire process took like an hour but everything went pretty smoothly. I'm pretty happy with the results and she told me about how I can come in for a fill for 40 bucks. Place is clean and service was good. The pricing was also reasonable. My eyelids were really sore after and some of my eyelashes fell out so I went back in and she told me that she used sensitive glue cause it was my first time and filled in my eyelashes for me with no extra charge. read more

I love Hair Plus! I've been getting my hair cut by Kim for over 10 years now and have been a patron since before they moved locations. Kim has tried to convince me to go short for years but I have always asked for "just a trim". In fact, it's an ongoing joke between the two of us and how we greet each other when I walk into the salon. "Hi, Stephanie! Going short today?" "Hi Kim! Not today, just a trim." Well, last week I decided to take the plunge and I knew that Kim was the one to see. I originally wanted to keep my decade old, layered, style but chop off at least 8 inches. She convinced me to go with a long layered bob which would keep my hair looking longer in the front. I was nervous while she was cutting but I am so happy with the end result! I have thick, wavy/curly hair and was afraid that if I went too short my hair would be unmanageable. The cut that Kim suggested makes it possible for me to wear my natural waves, straighten or curl it. Being able to wear it naturally gives me the ability to wash and go in the mornings. She even texted me a few days later to check in! How's that for customer service? I recommend calling a few days ahead to make your appointment and always ask for a shampoo- I would pay for just a shampoo and head massage from Kim. I'm always so relaxed after! The prices are also very reasonable. I usually get a shampoo, hair cut, blow dry and style for under $50, including tip. I highly recommend Hair Plus and while Kim is my go-to stylist, I know that the rest of the stylists are great at what they do too. You can't go wrong here! read more

She recently did keratin complex treatment on my hair and I was very impressed with the way she painstakingly ensured that each strand of hair was flat ironed for a long lasting result. I have been to hair plus a few times before and always liked my haircut. This time, however, was really bad. The haircut was quite bad not because it looked horrible, but because it was nowhere near what I asked for. The hairdresser (sorry I forget her name but a young woman) cut my hair about twice as short as I asked her to. I tried to stop her but she had already taken a giant chunk out so she needed to cut it down evenly. Other than that it was a below average but fine cut. When I told her she cut it was shorter than I wanted, she told me "well it's summer so short hair is better." I didn't think that was funny or very good customer service. When I told her that she argued with me about what length I asked her for. This got me pretty unhappy. Usually I will pay for a bad hair cut but not when the customer service is equal bad so I told her I would not pay. She agreed to her credit but I honestly wish I had never let her cut it. This review is for the Keratin Treatment. I had the treatment done by Kim and it was amazing. My hair felt really soft and smooth, and styling time is way shorter now. It's easier for me to do others things besides putting so much time trying to get my wavy/curly hair done. I can dry my hair naturally after showering, which is a big plus. My hair is naturally wavy/curly. It's not too curly, but it's not pin straight either. It's somewhere in between. I highly recommend getting this treatment done because it's worth it. Just don't go swimming or use any products with sodium chloride because it will shorten the lifespan of the treatment. But other than that, I recommend for sure. And Kim is definitely amazing at what she does. For me, personally, I go to Kim to have my hair done, whether it's getting my hair colored or cut, because she puts 100% time and effort into it.
