Dr Danzer is one of the most amazing people and doctors you can be lucky enough to work with. He's honest, explains everything thoroughly, and always makes time for his patients. I think he must have a cot in the back of scrc! In the entire 5+ years we have worked with him I think he's been on vacation or out of the office only once or twice! Words cannot express the gratitude I have for Dr Danzer and the entire team at SCRC. I got pregnant so quickly with my first daughter, that I never would have imagined that I would need to additional fertility help with our second. Poor, almost non-existent patient communication. A condescending, patronizing doctor. Referral to an unprofessional, downright mean therapist - Carole Lieber Wilkins. Her judgmental personality and comments to us were extremely offensive and bordered on inflammatory. And worst of all, milking people who are anxious, stressed, and let's face it, usually desperate, for as much money as possible while conveniently omitting important facts which would otherwise save them valuable time and dollars. We were on the receiving end of all this, and more, from Dr. Danzer and his staff and colleagues. Check my profile; this is only the 3rd time I've left a 1 star review, as I take the fact that I might negatively affect somebody's livelihood very seriously. But after the way we were treated by this unethical office and its "ethics committee", 1 star is one too many. Dr. Danzer is a really nice guy. But.... I never got pregnant and he could never figure out WHY. My numbers were "perfect". My second IVF, I was put on an experimental trial of Gonal-H (or whatever it's called). I got free medication and free PGD. I was told it failed.... Bad enough, right? Well, I came back in the office with severe pain a couple days after my supposed negative. They did a second U/S and saw nothing. They told me I "just had a cyst" and ignored my complaints of severe pain. But, turns out I had a tubal pregnancy and a ruptured tube! I bled internally for 24 hours and could have died. They didn't realize/believe me, until they looked at the blood work and saw my HCG count was sky high. I was taken into surgery and lost my left tube. It gets worse if you can believe it. We decided to move onto adoption after that nightmare (she is the best thing ever) and kept 3 embryos on ice at ART. We moved out of state.... and we never got a bill, and totally forgot about it. Years later.... we get a call from a collection agency saying we owed another $1400 to ART!!!! We had no idea! So, we paid immediately, AND THE COLLECTION AGENCY SOLD OUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND OUR CARD WAS USED AT A MACY'S IN BROOKLYN!!!! Talk about salt in the wound! Unbelievable! Yes, Dr. Danzer is kind. Is he a good doctor? I honestly think we could have sued for malpractice given what happened with them "missing" my ruptured tube... but we didn't, because he was..... nice. And we just wanted to move on with our lives and put it all past us. There are a LOT of good RE's in LA. Don't get snowed by the "nice" ones. Look at the stats only..... not personality. read more

Dr. Danzer is my hero! We would not have our two healthy children if it weren't for him. He is the 3rd Reproductive Endocrinologist I have seen and the only one that was able to successfully get me pregnant after struggling with infertility for nearly 4 years. I trust and respect Dr. Danzer 110%. Four other women I know (3 from an infertility support group) had recommended Dr. Danzer to me after he had gotten them pregnant. I initially came to him with a medical history folder 2-3 inches thick and he patiently went through the details of every failed IVF, FET and IUI. What sold me though is that he did not take a cookie cutter approach with my protocol. As one of the pioneers in this field, he has the knowledge and experience to be able to customize the approach. On top of all this, he is incredibly kind, thoughtful and genuinely caring. Dr. Danzer and his staff have shared in my ups and downs and demonstrated compassion beyond the ordinary. Of the 3 procedures I had with Dr. Danzer, I got pregnant with each, but one ended in miscarriage very early on and both he and Marybeth (head nurse) were visibly saddened and disappointed for us. I knew when I met Dr. Danzer that he was going to get me pregnant. I just didn't realize how soon it'd be. My husband and I were trying to conceive for 2 years before we decided we needed some help. We went to Dr Danzer in 2016 because they were #2 in the country for success rates and had the lowest implant ratio (meaning they implant the least embryos and have the highest birth success). Since then we now have 2 beautiful daughters and their success rates have improved. The success rates speak for themselves, I see people complaining about bedside manner or lack of calls, we didn't have that experience and honestly if we had, I would say that isn't close to my top concerns when trying to get pregnant. I got pregnant on the very first cycle and was on the meds for only 9 days before retrieval. He monitors you very closely and ensures that all your questions are answered and you always leave happy and positive. All his three nurses are super nice, sweet and professional and follow up promptly. He has the busiest centers in the West Coast (SCRC) and it is for a very good reason. This review is long overdue. I went to Dr. Danzer after trying three times with Dr. DeUgarte (who did get me pregnant when I went back to her), I personally really liked Dr. Danzer. He is calm, almost sedate. He was NOT an easy person to contact, I couldn't even return his calls without a nurse or the receptions having to put me on hold for several minutes. Usually I'd have to wait for his call back to my call back. I do like the office. It is clean and rather sterile but in a nice way. Everyone is very nice and professional. The problem is NOT that my one and only IVF with Dr. Danzer did not result in a pregnancy but that HE NICKED me during the egg retrieval. That's bad enough but he merely mentioned that I might be in discomfort. After my previous three IVF egg retrievals, I was feeling great and even went back to work. So I know what it is suppose to feel like. A little discomfort or even a little pain is fine. Anyone who has gone through IVF knows the pain and gets use to it over time. BUT, when the anesthesia wore off at home, I thought I was going to die! It is THE MOST PAINFUL TWO DAYS of my life. It felt as if someone had punched me over and over all over my body. According to my friend, a ENT surgeon, internal cuts/bleeding is excruciating. He did NOT mention this to me. I thought I had an infection and was dying. We went in the following day because I couldn't stand the pain. He then told me that sometimes it can be very painful! Really?! (By the way, they BILLED me for that follow up visit because he nicked me!) When he transfers the embryos three days after the retrieval, I was still in pain. We asked him if this trauma would negatively effect my chances of getting pregnant. He said no and that my embryos were excellent and did the three day transfer. Not sure why my husband and I trusted him. We even considered going back to him?! We were desperate and scared. We were told he was the best. I don't know if that is why it didn't work. But seems like they or Dr. Danzer should have refunded some fees or something?! He may be a highly regarded doctor in his field but he cause me excruciating pain and suffering. Yes, worse than my C section! IVF is so full of disappointments and it is such an emotional time. I am so lucky to be a mommy now. Choose your doctor wisely! And if they damage you or hurt you, take action! Don't be an idiot like I was and just believe everything the doctor tells you. Do the research and ask your friends and your friends friends!! And GOOD LUCK!!! I would take all the shots and go through all the disappointments and even the excruciating pain of being nicked during the retrieval to be a mom! read more

They are one of the best IVF labs around but need to manage the logistics as they very busy. Things can fall through cracks - coordinating office visits and communication around IVF schedule, etc. Jana Sprogis, their Office Manager, is AMAZing! I truly recommend that every current, prospect patient work through her. She has assisted with every question, miscommunication and managing the logistics of being monitored away (2 different locations). Dr. Danzer is our hero! I am almost done with my first trimester of pregnancy, graduated from Dr. Danzer's, and with his help found a wonderful OBGYN. Our journey in infertility started over one year ago: after four rounds of IVF (cycle number four turned out to be our lucky cycle), two of which resulted in chemical pregnancies, we finally got our lil miracle whose currently brewing in my belly. Initially, my husband was the one with infertility issues and the reason we arrived at Dr. Danzer's office. However, after multiple rounds of IVF it turned out that my body, due to no specific reason, happened to be one of those outliers who wouldn't like following the norms.
