Friendly waitress greeted us and sat us immediately. Menu's came out and they recommended a pizza and burger. We agreed and ordered. Place started to pick up and get busy immediately after we ordered. Food came out pretty quickly. We each had a burger. Not a lot of options on the menu but we all tried the emily burger. It was worth it. Think, juicy and with an amazingly unique taste. The ingredients were high quality, the burger cooked to perfection. The table also split the modern pizza (I think). Not sure what to expect from this one but turns out it was perfect, unique and delicious. The cheese taste really shined through. Overall, we were super happy with the food here. Stop by if you have a chance.

Today however it wasn't pizza that brought me here, it was the famous Emmy Burger. To begin with the atmosphere of the restaurant is dim lighting a few tables with a reasonable sized bar in the middle of the room. They also have an open kitchen concept where just past the bar you can see the cooks working. My server Inda was polite and knowledgeable about the menu. My burger was excellent, normally I don't eat my burger with a knife and folk, but in this case with all the cheese and sauce oozing down the sides, not to mention the caramelized onions, it was necessary. (If I were home I wouldn't mind having burger juices running down my arm, but other people were eating in the restaurant also). The tiny pickles which I can't remember the name of were an added treat to the burger. I decided to order mine with the loaded fries. Just imagine the ground burger with all the toppings covering french fries and add melted white cheese. Since I was alone I didn't order a pizza because how would I eat it all, but next time I will try the pizza. I don't mind paying extra for a burger when it's aged beef and the taste is great. I definitely recommend this location. There is a fast food burger restaurant next door to Emily's but I can't imagine there burgers compare. I will try them another time and let you know. My sandwich was more well-done than requested. They don't offer 'rare'. The few bites with red meat were infinitely better than the rest of the sandwich. The roll, as everyone points out, is baked in house. Though light and puffy, it didn't outweigh overdone beef. Onion rings were great, root beer average, and lemonade -- per my husband who loves lemonade -- excellent. While I wouldn't balk about returning, my vote goes to Brennan and Carr, though truly, when cooked as requested there is no substantial difference. If you take the train, get off at Sheepshead Bay Road and head south. Turn left at Emmons Avenue and keep walking. Twenty minutes all told.

Seems like real local classic, very nostalgic feeling - need more restaurants like this all over! -Had roast beef sandwich with grilled onions, fries (uniquely kinda made - great with cheese!!), pizza & strawberry lemonade (didn't get pics) -Was in NY for 4 days, had RNR twice lol RNR being open till 1/2am & having quite a few different options is really nice & doesn't break the bank. Restaurant is also big, plenty of seating. Great for late night grabs or afternoon lunch! Sandwich was very tasty, pizza was good, that's strawberry lemonade was delicious!!! I placed my online order, scheduled my pick up time and then I mosied from Cobble Hill cinema to 7th via B63 and was here quickly. My order was ready and found a seat in the Communal Table. I took my first bite of my Impossible which was impossibly delicious: hot smashed burger, melted cheese and fixins. The best 77 cents I have spent in a long while. I prefer what they call a "knife and fork job" where the sandwich, the meat the bread is all dunked and comes out in a river of au jus. They make amazing sides, I typically go for the onion rings and corn fritters which are tasty, fried nugget of sweet corn and they are delicious. I probably had really high expectations because my first Au Cheval burger in Chicago was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Maybe I should've ordered a Coca-Cola instead of a couple of draft beers. Either way, I enjoyed my meal and the great conversation with my friend. Overall, I had a good experience.
