Really good wings! I thought they were a little pricier and really wanted to get more but opted for 6 with no sides. I really enjoyed the sauce- it wasn't really spicy but nice and vinegary. The wings themselves were a good size and juicy and they also came with sauce on the side. I ordered and waited maybe 5 minutes and the wings came out fresh and piping hot! I don't eat chicken so I can't review their most popular items but they gain points for being pretty vegetarian-friendly. There are a few tables inside for dining in! Got an Impossible Burger w/ Fries + Mac and Cheese and a coke. Criiispy (premade) fries + great sauce on their burger. Skip the mac. so terrible! soupy, flavorless, no seasoning or salt on the noodles. Should have gotten the corn instead. I absolutely loove the food from Peri Peri Grill house. I found it on a random walk one afternoon and when visiting a friend in that part of brooklyn. Seeing "peri" in the name made me curious so I had to give it a try. It's a small restaurant which can seat no more than 10 people. The person taking my order was so polite and patience. He took his time with me as I looked at the menu and asked many questions about the sauces. I settled for the Jerked wings and peri peri rice. What really blew me away was the rice! It's a spicy seasoned rice with south African spices. The chicken wings were okay and when dipped in the garlic sauce it was great. After eating that meal, I immediately went back and placed another order for my mom so she could try it. My fav thing on the menu is the jerked chicken breast and peri peri rice. What a disappointment. I hadn't been to Peri Peri since they closed. So you can imagine that when I return the brand has done a 360. I should have known when I walked into the space and it was not only empty but only two pick up bags were there. This was a spot was was always bustling not it's a ghost town- so I get my order - the infamous Peri Peri fries are now just over salted French Fries- - the chicken which use to me moist was dry as an eraser. Fool me once shame on me. You will never get a second chance. My suggestion is figure out where you went wrong and fix it or you can close the doors again. Damn shame! read more

On my first visit waited no more than ~10 min wait for some juicy and tasty wings. Fries were delicious but definitely could cut back on the salt hard. On a second try, a month later, I of course did more wings and the fries but also went with their mac. The mac wasn't legit (haven't found any around really, smh). The cheese wasn't nor was the dish flavorful but at least they used elbow pasta:) The wings were super spicy this time around (got the same sauce as my last order). So either the sauces are made in advance (the heat would build up) or they're made day to day and ingredients aren't measured out but felt. Either way the chicken was still juicy so definitely worth ordering from in the future. Overall glad I finally had a hankering for wings and found a quick spot for my fix. read more

I had ordered the fries, but they sent rice. The rice was good, though, so no complaints. I loved the corn on the cob! They sprinkle peri peri seasoning on it, and it's so good! I was excited to try this place for a while. When I did, I ordered mac n cheese bites and chicken wraps for myself and my partner. When they arrived, everything was cold. The mac n cheese bits were kind of soggy, and I couldn't finish my wrap because the taste of onion was so overpowering and otherwise lacking in flavor. I like onion, but it was the only flavor. I couldn't even taste the mango lime salsa. I might give them another try down the line, maybe in person instead of delivery. read more

Ok I'm a peri peri Stan, after a great recommendation I had to try it for myself. Their lamb is my favorite by far. It's so flavorful and tender and it's more than enough in my opinion, but I feel myself wanting more after being stuffed lol. I pair it with their seasoned fries that has a sweet, but savory powder on it. Their other sides are really good, my second favorite is the mashed potatoes. I do wish they would put a bit more cheese in the Mac and cheese, but it's still very much valid! Their chicken is really good too, I only had the lemon herb but it was extremely juicy and tender. The customer service is cool it usually takes 10-15 minutes to get your food so I would call in advance. It's not really a sit down and eat type place but I still love this hidden gem. read more

After traveling to London & Lisbon, I have been missing the delicious Peri Peri Chicken. I miss Nando's at London & Frangasquiera Nacional in Lisbon. Those are the best peri peri chicken places I have eaten so far. I yelped and found this place in brooklyn. After reading the wonderful reviews on its comparison to Nando's, I knew I had to come here. We ordered: 1) 12 wings, 2) 4 lamb chops, 3) mac&cheese, 4) peri peri fries, 5) half chicken, 6) grilled vegetables. We ordered in mild and the peri peri spices on the food were lacking. The wings were ok and not even close to the ones sold at Nando's. I was quite disappointed with the wings. I felt that the peri peri seasoning was lacking. The wings were also small in size. The lamb chops were ok and small in size. The half chicken was moist but lacking in flavor. The fries were good, tasted like how fries were with little peri seasoning. The grilled vegs were ok. Their mac&cheese was medicore, would not recommend. Tried their sauces: sweet chili, mild, garlic & herb - thought the sweet chili one was the best out of the 3. Overall, the peri peri food did not pass my expectations. Staff was very friendly and seating was comfortable. There is also a bathroom which was nice. You order in the front and find a spot to sit. They print out a receipt with a number and when your food is ready they will call that number out. read more

I like Peri Peri. Service is friendly and consistent and the wait for food is never long. I typically just come for the seasoned fries. Most recently I tried the falafel wrap and it was small but filling, and not very memorable. I like falafel crispy and this was the soft, packed kind. I opted out of their signature seasoning salt on the falafel since I'd previously had it on the veggie burger and found it way too salty. The sauces lean on the spicy side, so I use just a tad. And unless I get the fries plain (no seasoning) the sauces are too strong. All in all, Peri is a good stop for reasonably priced, made to order fresh fries and fast casual eats. read more

I stumbled upon Peri Peri's while in the neighborhood. Service was fast and friendly. I ordered 6 wings and a salad at it was $18. I didn't open the the bag until I got home but the Peri Peri sauce hadn't been closed and it spilled all over the bag. Bummer I was looking forward to tasting it. The wings were wingettes so for $20 I had basically an appetizer and I was still hungry. The chargrilled wings were flavorful and salad was basic. I discovered this spot after perusing Yelp for an awesome burger spot in the Bed Stuy area. After reading a few outstanding reviews I place a phone order for pickup. The inside is very clean with nice art decor and a few seats to eat and dine in with. The service was good. The burger was exceptional! I order mine medium well. 85% was cooked that way and the rest was medium to almost rare. However this burger was juicy and I can't wait to go back for more. It takes real fresh and like it was seasoned with love. The fries were deliciously seasoned, crispy and plentiful. I also I ordered a quarter leg which was delicious I got the Mango Passion Sauce to go along with it. I highly recommend this spot. I'll go back to try the wings and the lamb which they have to offer. The food here is halal so no pork, FYI. Parking is limited to street parking, because there's no parking lot. read more

I have had peri peri in South Africa before, so I was excited to see a place open up not to far from where I used to live. I've had the chicken a number of times both mild and hot and I 100% prefer the hot flavoring. The mild is dare I say too mild and the hot is just right. The chicken is juicy and flavorful and a solid size for the price. I also once tried the lamb, which was really really REALLY delicious, I'm working on replicating that marinade, like damn! lol but it's pricey and I'm not sure I can justify the price, so will stick with the wings. The buzz around this place in the neighborhood is crazy. For the amount ofmy neighbors raving about the chicken, I expected the line to be horrible. South African grilled chicken? Yes, please I walked straight in and was assisted by a friendly guy behind the counter in making a 1st timer choice. The hunger and indecisiveness settled on a mild chicken wrap. NOTE: mild is actually slightly spicy if you get the wrap, I think it's the peri peri mayo. Okay. The flavor? Smokey and delicious. Texture? Fresh crisp veggies (grilled and raw onions ), tender chicken and ripe avocado (1.50 extra). And you get a choice in wraps, whole wheat or plain. I really like my wrap, although it's a bit pricier than others similar in size, taste and quality. Every employee asked did I enjoy my lunch, even the chef. The wait was long but it was worth it. Peri peri sauce is a tangy hot sauce. They have a variety of sauces. I got the mango passion wings which was good but I wished the chicken had more of the sauce. I also ordered the Cole slaw, strawberry milkshake and fries. This meal was very filling I didn't even get to finish it so I had leftovers. The fries were seasoned and were tasty. The milkshake was creamy and smooth. The coleslaw wasn't bad slight tangy if I'm not mistaken I think it has the peri peri sauce. The best sauce is their homemade sweet chili sauce wish I can buy it from them. They also have the different sauces inside if you want to try and taste. I will definitely come back to try the other food items. read more

I must have gotten the wrong thing. My meal wasn't that great -- I got the chicken wrap with hot sauce and the fries with seasoning on it. The wrap tasted like grilled chicken with a bunch of hot sauce on it... nothing special at all. Fries were good but too much seasoning on it. Borderline salty. I got hooked on their lamb chops here, because they accidentally got our delivery order wrong and I got to try the chops here and it was really good. Since then, I have been here twice for dine-in option and though I don't care for the atmosphere, but the lamb chops are good enough for me to endure the craziness. Most recently, I ordered the lamb chops during COVID and I felt this was off. It didn't taste the same and it wasn't as good, so I was greatly disappointed because it didn't satiate my craving. I am hoping it was only a fluke, but for now I am taking a break from this place until this pandemic is over. read more

I was super excited to hear about Peri Peri in Brooklyn, and I finally had the chance to drive from Jersey to try it. And it was so worth it. I had the mild wings with peri peri fries and the lamb chops. Both really good! The chicken wings were tender and so well flavored. Oh and the peri peri fries were the right combination of soft, crisp and not greasy at all. The lamb chops are on the pricier side but it is a must to order. Oh I also tried the veggie sides, mash potatoes and all the sauces on the side. (Because I just have to try everything and a girl can eat) My favorite sauces are the mild and garlic herb. Also, the owners are a super, friendly couple and will explain to you how they make the food here; Love that everything is fresh and healthy. Healthier fast food for the win! The ambience is casual and the place is clean. Definitely going back again, I want to try the burger next. read more
