Halal Bros Grill is very popular take out spot in queens! Food: my goodness the food is very seasoned and tasty. Everything is fresh made from the grilling of the chicken, fresh yellow Jasmin rice, all the veggies are prep fresh. My goodness this halal food is one of the best I've had in NYC! Service: the team is very attentive, chilled, provides great advice on appetite cravings, all smiling and upbeat. The service was fast and excellent! Ambiance: a traditional trendy take out spot with set up to see everything cooking. Very clean and well kept

They don't pay attention to the orders. The portions are extremely small. I was given cheese sauce on my jerk chicken when I specifically asked for white and hot. They have gone downhill tremendously over the years. I remember when it was actually delicious fresh hot and now it's just a waste of money and overpriced.. you do not get what you pay for in terms of value. P. S Cheese sauce on jerk is crazy, I will never come here again. Look how small the portion is! The container itself was light asf. Please don't order from here the food is subpar

4.5 to 5 STAR on a good day. It just all depends on the people working that day. Sometimes they can be a bit laid back which makes them lazy enough not to do their job correctly. On a good day with workers who genuinely want to satisfy your craving although they're overwhelmed, i would give it a 10. Theirs a specific cook and a specific guy who serves that knows how to just throw down. All the chicken gyro pictures are from different days but same server. Ugh!! He just always showed so much love. The friesssss dont need no ketchuppp!!! Eat them things up just like that. They're delicious!!!! At the time i use to be with someone who got the salmon bites and they said it was pretty good. I dont eat that so i can't say. She was picky too so guessing by her judgement they are a go. They have refreshments as well on both sides. Cashier side and pick up side. I have also gotten rhe rice over chicken with salad and white sauce twice and it was a hit both times. So i recommend that as well. Small tight space and on a good day it can get super packed. No tables so don't expect to come and sit down to eat. This is a grab and go. No bathrooms or at least never asked or have seen. They're open till 2AM as well. I love that. Late night munchies.

Jerk chicken Mac and cheese fries

Got the jerk chicken Mac and cheese fries and portion was HUGE. For 14 bucks yeah it better have been. It was good but the jerk chicken was literally cold. Very confused by that as the rest of the components were warm, I mean as they should've been. The fries were crisp and the Mac and cheese pretty good. Toppings were jalapeños and tomatoes and some shredded cheese. Tons of sauce options which I adore. Staff were nice. There's nowhere to sit so you gotta take your food to go.

Working in the area this Friday 11/19/21 !! Helping getting this New USB Arena ready for their grand opening ... Needed something Hot & delicious & satisfying !! Found it !!! Looks like a brand new Resturant !!!! Very clean, the gentleman behind the counter were very polite and served me to go pretty fast ... I went with my normal, Lamb plate over salad !!! Extra meat at a $ 3.00 up charge ... I asked to crisp up my meat on the flat top which they gladly accommodated for me ... They have a super fresh salad station with a very large selection of veggies & toppings .... Their white sauce was on point & their hot sauce hit the spot ... This review was totally based on their lamb Gyro meat over salad !! A solid 5 stars !! But as ya know can't throw the 5th Star out until I try at least another 5 items on their menu !!! Their lamb was very good & super moist still with my requested crisp !!! Definitely making this my Halal go to spot when we are working on the area !!! Thanks guys !! Greg D.

Good Halal food with a lot of options, chicken, beef, lamb, kefta, salmon, over rice or in a pita. They are open till 2am so a good late night option. I got the mix combo, chicken & lamb over rice with salad which was really good.

Recommendations- Bastilla/Pastilla, Tagines, Zaalouk. Grilled platters are alright. On a side note, some dishes, similar to other Moroccan places, such as couscous, are only available on weekends. As per many of my recent reviews, I was at this Moroccan spot a good while ago, with our host having heard about it prior to the place being featured in the NYT Top 100 as well as on TasteBuds, a highly recommended Instagram/TikTok account. The woman who helped us, whom I believe was one of the owners, was very friendly, and the place inside was casual and decently busy, especially for how far away it is from the subway. The food was overall very tasty, with a particularly good bastilla/pastilla, among everything else, and I can see why this restaurant has gotten so much publicity. My preference of the two appetizers was the $7.99 Zaalouk, or eggplant cooked in tomato sauce and marinated with charmoula. The dish reminded me a bit of Egyptian-style moussaka due to the mix, though less tomato-focused and more about the sweet eggplant. The chermoula was very light, with a hint of sourness and spice. Overall, this was delicious, especially with the bread. The other appetizer was the Moroccan Carrot for $6, which was a mix of sliced carrots with a spicy chermoula. Of everything we ordered, this was the least favorite dish of the night, as the cold carrots lacked much flavor, as there was a lack of chermoula flavor, just like with the eggplant. Best of the dishes was the $12.99 Chicken Bastilla, or Pastilla, listed as a traditional Moroccan pie stuffed with chicken strips, crushed almonds, and dusted with icing sugar and cinnamon. A lot of people might find this sweet and savory combination odd, but I have gotten used to it, and this was a very good version. The chicken was well-spiced, the pie was flaky, and it wasn't overly sweet. The previous place, which had the best version, was the long-closed La Shuk in Harlem, and this is better, though I do want to compare it to the other popular Moroccan spot in Astoria, Siham. Second favorite was the Lamb Tajine, or Tagine, With Prunes for $22, consisting of slow cooked meat with prunes, dried apricots, roasted almonds, and sesame, and served with rice. The lamb inside was very tender and fell off the bone. I liked the roasted almonds and sesame as the bit of nuttiness helped with the overall sweetness of the dish. We also liked this dish, and it paired particularly well with the rice. My preference from the grilled section was the $16.99 Merguez, listed as Moroccan merguez grilled over charcoal, and served with rice. The dish came with many pieces of sausage, which had a slight spicy kick and a bit of a snap. For the same price, there was also the Grilled Lamb, or tender lamb with a choice of rice or fries. The lamb was pretty flavorful, but some pieces were a bit overcooked. It was good, though, but not as notable. The fries on the side were a mixed bag, with some being crispy and some a bit soft, so between the two, I would recommend the rice more. While I didn't love the grilled platters, the rest of the dishes were delicious. Combine that with the friendly service, and we had a very good time. I wouldn't mind going back and trying again, though this might also be because I want to have more of their bastilla.

The portions were generous, the meat was consistently tender, and everything was packed with rich, comforting flavor. This is the kind of food that really sticks with you. Even though we ordered to-go, the experience stood out. The staff treated us incredibly well during the wait and even offered complimentary Moroccan mint tea and bread. For a brief moment, it genuinely felt like a glimpse into Moroccan hospitality. I do not rave about places often, but this is absolutely one I would recommend to others without hesitation.

None of the other fast food places like Wendy's or Popeyes would go above and beyond for their mistake. Very much appreciated. The tenders and sliders use the same chicken, but sliders come with some Coleslaw inside. I recommend the medium spice level. They use a nice rub that's not too spicy. I'm guessing there's also hint of sugar that makes it so good. I would probably choose tenders over sliders since the buns on sliders masks the tastiness of the chicken. Fries were crinkle fries. Solid 5/5. My daughter loved Dave's sauce, which is good because I was afraid it would be spicy. Overall, pleasantly surprised and will come back!

I was brought here by my friend (and her family) as she recommended the place, and she came pretty often. I would say that my friend sometimes has interesting taste, but so far her recommendations have been really solid. Since my friend brought me here, I just took whatever she recommended, as she took command of all ordering. This was great for me, since I opened the menu and was like... wow, I don't even know what is good. So I just sat back and *attempted* to listen to what was going on. We ended up getting hot tea with lemon, beef skirt kebab, lamb kebab, samsa, cheburek with meat, and a few other things I'm not quite sure about. She just ordered, and honestly, I just ate everything she threw at me. The samsas were delicious! They were super flaky, and the meat was well seasoned and super juicy. The samsa were also quite hefty, they fill you up if you eat too many. It reminded me of the homemade ones my friend used to give me. Next up, the cheburek with meat. This was a first for me, and my friend said it was a must get. She was completely right... we ended up getting a 2nd order of this. It was super light, compared to everything else we ordered, as it is only filled with a bit of meat. The dough is fried to perfection, it was a bit crispy, soft, and didn't feel oily. It came with what I assume is a tomato sauce, which pairs well with it. We also got a few of the beef and lamb kebabs, and they were also delicious. The beef tasted better than the lamb, but my friend says that is just depends on the day. So I guess it depends on who is cooking that day? But the beef was super juicy, and it was well seasoned. The lamb was also good, but it just wasn't as yummy as the beef skirt. Overall, I really like everything here and I look forward to my next trip back to NY.
